I could not start the Jeep YJ and finally figured out the problem. Broken battery terminal. I decided to replace them with a military style terminal that allows for easier connection of accessories.
Oh my gosh.......these RU-vid battery videos. Oh.....my....gosh. The negative cable is laying up against the negative post and then he is working around the positive post .....if you accidentally touch the positive post to the car body or other metal with your tool the battery could arc or explode. I've seen it happen. Vehicle batteries are VERY powerful. Powerful enough to weld your tool to the car body and to FRY all of your wires.
