Excellent performance by Jeremy Brett as Maxime De Winter in the adaptation of Daphne Du Maurier's work for the television.
A shy young lady company is in Monte Carlo when she meets handsome and wealthy widower Maxim de Winter, whose beautiful wife Rebecca has recently died in a tragic accident at sea. The two fall in love and when Maxim asked her hand, she accepts without hesitation. Yet his happiness is soon diluted. The couple moved to Monderley mansion, home of the Winter, where the new Mrs. de Winter discovers that Rebecca has left a strong impression on everyone in the house.

The actors are soooo good. it's too bad the production is not well executed. we could have done without all the music when they were walking or riding in the car. . . the production should have been tight - building the suspense. . . love the actors though . . .

I think such stories on that age was driving like this... Calm gentle sober suspensive editing was tremendous without music creating lots of things that we imagine in deep... Flawless remarkable...

Each n everyone actors was mervellous... Mrs. Danvas was going too much n going too far in here... better Mrs. de Winter do more carefully to handle and she wanted to tricks with her... Thats what Mrs. Danvas did that same... If we see it will be more prominant n entertaining...
