My mom teaches piano and at one point she had three students named Michaela but they all had different spellings. Mom made up my name. I was going to be Shanna but then she thought the 'SH' might be too hard for younger siblings so she changed it to 'J'; then one of my brothers had a speech impediment and I was 'Zanna' until that was dealt with. In high school French class one year I sat behind Jansci and across the aisle from Janan so that was fun. My name is almost NEVER on things. One of my closest friends is also named Janna. She was my maid of honour and we call each other J1 and J2 (like Dr Seuss's Thing 1 and Thing 2); I'm J1 because I'm a couple of years older. I don't have a best friend anymore. I did, for over ten years, but that's over. No drama, and I'm still confused now, ten years later. I have one child, and I only get to even be ALONE when I go places and leave him with his dad (which I can do almost anytime now that my husband works from home). Like, even right now, the boy is in bed and my husband is working in his study, and I'm watching RU-vid in the living room with the World's Neediest Cat sitting on me. Sorry, it's been a difficult week.
