It's not mandatory, I have been requested 5 times in the last 10 years, I haven't gone once. I called the local police department to ask what the penalty was for not appearing. They said nothing, you don't have to do it.

I have voted in every election and have never gotten called for jury duty, ever! I would love to! My husband has gone 3 times, and all 3 times was dismissed because he is a lifetime handg*n permit holder! But he bummed out. We were told it was mandatory. You can get held in contempt of court if you don't respond.

It isn't mandatory. Everytime I've gotten a letter it has literally been when I had vacations preplanned for months ahead of time. All I did was call & tell them. They didn't require proof or anything.

@@Mrs.Winegarden it is in my state! I know people who have had cops show up at their house threatening them with contempt of court. Maybe Indiana has a hard time getting people to show up so it's a bigger deal??

I have a coworker who teaches kids to swim and she films the kids and then shows everyone. Doubt most of the parents know or they only think she films them to just show the parents what the kid learns. She has no kids of her own and I doubt she even cares if a parent told her not to do that. She’s a narcissist.

Yes! My nephews school (elementary) post updates and photos throughout the day through an app to keep parents informed and everyone who wanted to participate had to sign a consent form. I would sue too if they had uploaded a photo and I didn’t sign the form.

@@MarlanaPolis yes our school doesn’t do an app but they post on a Facebook page. I don’t consent UNLESS it’s like a thing for her to participate in and then I just ask not to have her posted. I want my daughter to participate in fun things but it doesn’t need to be on the internet. They print out photos for me but never post them. They are for the yearbook which I am fine with but no internet.

I was a foster kid, it was especially important that all photos of me had permission considering my biological parents literally stalked me. People need to take these things seriously

@@michellemadison2539 I agree! My sister was also in foster care and eventually adopted and her bio mom has a mental illness of some kind is seems. I think whatever reason people don’t want their children online should be respected but in your case and a lot of foster children’s cases is is potentially dangerous for photos of them and their locations to be so open on the internet. We don’t live in a safe world as much as people want to turn a blind eye to it.

I actually do think someone complained because she used to film them in the classrooms and you could see everyone, now she blurs them out.

@@SteamboatWillow I know why they are turned off. Because creeps were literally posting time stamps in comments for others (like kids in bikinis, diapers, in the bath). Some did get theirs back Jess was one of them that didn't. But even knowing why RU-vid took them away she still played stupid on how she didnt understand.

Yes, and in this video about teaching her edit her daughter tells her that sometimes she asks her mom to edit some parts about her and not put it in the video. Then Jessssss replies to her laughing "I knoooow but it's so cute so I just put it in the video". Her child literally asks her, and she doesn't listen to her. So this 'filming that I ask permission thing' is really a lie. She just films but doesn't care what her kids ask her.

Thats what i did as a kid, i hated having to change clothes constantly because of all the different textures, i have autism and spd so clothes, sleeping and getting me ready in the morning was stressful for both me and my mom growing up. Taking a shower or bath at night and dressing for the next day made things alot easier for me as a kid because i would be able to get comfortable with my clothes over the night and not be to irritated in the morning. I would also refuse hair brushing unless i was able to do it because it caused me so much pain when someone else did it(my mom was really gentle with me, my nerves are just amplified more so having someone else brush my soft kid scalp was really irritating to me and whould make me ball my eyes out.) I remember my mom saying that some days she wouldn't do my hair because i would have long meltdowns about not wanting to do it. Im not claiming that jess famms or any one elses kids have what i have, but this is just one example of why at times being a parent and trying to care for your child properly can sometimes be a harder task then one might think, i dont think this is an excuse and ive had my own discussions with my family about how i was raised, but i also dont think that raising kids is completely black and white. I dont think anyone should be filming their kids or putting them on the internet, i think parents should monitor everything( only with the best intentions, not to restricttheir childs rights), but some things like letting your kids decide when they want to get ready for the next day or a letting them decide that its dressup day at school or teaching them how to brush their own hair and letting them do it when they decide are small things that i dont see as damaging to the kid. Infact i think allowing them to have some small control over their life and increasing the flexibility with age and maturity can be extremely beneficial because your letting them decide who they are, not guiding them to who you think they should be.

@@veggiemonkie5041 thanks for sharing your story! I can understand where you are coming from completely. I’m a mom to 4 little boys. I pick my battles wisely. If it’s easier for you to sleep in your clothes because of autism and spd I can understand. It just seemed like in that particular video she lets her kids wear clothes to bed because they (or maybe she) didn’t want to get up the extra 10-15 mins it would take to get them dressed. That to me is lazy parenting. If there was a solid reason behind it other than laziness I could get behind why she does it.

I agree but there is something about piercings that makes many people see them as something more suited for a younger person. It's interesting because far less people feel that way about tattoos even though tattoos are permanent and change with your skin as you age. That said, I personally don't think the plugs suit Josh.

SOME people think they will have that unobtainable "teen mom" life on MTV. They dont see the struggle, they see money and money can solve some problems. They see differently than most do. Unfortunately she thought having children young would get her fame and sadly people trusted her enough to give her some fame. Its sad for the innocent that didnt have the choice, its sad to think what after RU-vid?
