Joe is an amazing character,and a fantastic guitarist. I’m so glad he joined the Eagles,he might not be with us if he hadn’t. His substance abuse had gotten SOOOOO bad that they intervened and told him” You Gotta Clean Up Your Act” and he did. That’s people that love you! He’s a different guy now and an even better guitarist. Joe is one of the most under rated guitarists in America,and one of the reasons the Eagles had the sound they had from Hotel California on. God bless him,one of my absolute favorite rockers from the 70’s.

My wife and I have been happily married for 25 years and we still love each other a lot. Best thing that ever happened to me was meeting her. You not only have to love the other person, you also have to like them. You folks obviously love each other. That never goes away. But to still like each other and still enjoy each other's company, that's special. It is possible to love someone and not like them but that leads to a miserable relationship. . Joe Walsh's music has been putting a smile on my face for almost 50 years. My favorite thing about him is the humor he puts in his songs. Next year is an election year. You should react to his song "Vote For Me". It's hilarious.

I have actually seen the live jam at Daryl Hall's house vid before and loved it. They looked like they were having so much fun. I have been to many concerts over the years and the one that stood out was Tesla's live acoustic tour. It was a smaller venue and they were pulling people out of the audience to be up closer and actually sit with the band. That was them having a good time and making it so much fun for the fans.

Love this song, and love seeing them having so much fun! I probably haven't heard this in like forty years, but isn't it amazing how I still remember every awesome lyric! Reminds me of when I was going to school....I didn't do so well because I hated school, but I can recall my mother (R.I.P. Mom) always telling me that "if I knew my school subjects as well as I knew the lyrics to songs, I would be making straight A's." Better grades didn't happen people because I much preferred music!! BTW, my husband means the world to me, so I know what you are talking about, Kel. He is my life!! We've been together forty-five years, and been married forty-three years. Have fun dancing you two! (btw, so many of these older songs that you dig, conjure up so many great memories for me growing up back then and has me going back to listen to them (the bands & also the albums) again after so many years.) I must've been around 22, when this came out. I remember having a cassette tape of the FM soundtrack. I don't know if I saw the film, and can't remember any of the other songs on the album, but I think this was the 1st one, and I loved it.

My favorite Joe Walsh story is when he met Jimmy Page in a bar around 1968. Jimmy had always used a Fender Stratocaster with the Yardbirds and one song on Zeppelins first album. Joe talked him into trying a Gibson hollow body Les Paul. The band took off after that and the rest is history. If memory serves me, Joe may have gifted the Les Paul that Jimmy played for years.

I love "Live from Daryls House"! One of the best I think, in my humble opinion, is the one when Billy Gibbons from ZZ Top performs "La Grange". When you watch it, its not about the song itself but just a bunch of cool guys taking turns during the song. I really think that particular video is one that should be watched.

The guitar on this tune is a Deusenberg made in Germany and they are terrific instruments. Joe plays many different guitars but always sounds fabulous

The band is Darryl's "house band". It's a series that Darryl Hall has put out for years now. He invites musicians from different genres to his house and they play some of their songs and some of his. I think there's about 70 or 80 episodes online. Always fun like this one with Joe Walsh. Worth checking out. Glad you listened to this song, it reminds me of my youth. :)
