People aren't seeing why he did a cover of this song.He didn't do it to impress anyone, he did because he listened to it as a child and loves the song.
I also wanted to just say that I love the fact that someone who is so NOT a "typical" Duran Duran fan is being so vocal about their love for the band. Kudos to him!
No wonder he writes amazing songs,as a metalhead id rather listen duran than any punk or hair metal band,younger you are as a musician is more important to listen to more melodic music and complex
This is just a rehearsal, u can't compare this version to chino's, thats a studio version for gods sake. they both have amazing voice, i believe if there's a studio version for this that would be awesome, jonathan is the shit.

I found this song originally through Deftones and loved it, but Jonathan Davis's style and voice make a very cool version which i also like. Also, can you say flame war? God, get over it, you either like it or hate it. If you don't like it don't comment, problem solved.
I get it. I have to say that to me what was really lacking here was not his vocals; it was a lack of a proper track to back him. I am a lifelong in-my-blood Duranie and a complete Simon girl. I liked it, but I would love to hear this done properly. They should get Patryk Pigeon to do some metal guitar. You should hear his versions of the new songs. Great sound.
Sorry I must comment again about this, Brilliant and well done version by Jonathan, I am a huge and long time DD fan, This was done very well by him. Music is a preferance so don't think I am dissing anyone. Just enjoy your own muse and love the music for what it is........ MUSIC and play on with own your muse. Its just a joy to listen and have the small privledge of listening to music that is not defined by it's base but by it's art, substence and message. How does it make you feel ? Think!!
JONATHAN dAVIS should cover duran duran song"come undone" and do it in a similar style to alone i break... it will be so cool!!! jonny please cover come undone!!!
it's not the best performance he did, but that's because it was like the first actual performance he did of the song. Look up any live versions of this from JD and you will love it and feel the improments!
I've heard the Deftones version as well as this one and neither of them are better than the other, they're just different, and I listen to both Deftones and Korn.
This is one of his earlier versions of it so the way I see it, it was still in practice and very held back.. check out some live versions which are MUCH better and have a less acoustic feel (to those whining about deftones)
You all know this was done on a radio show because he had always wanted to cover it so they printed out lyrics and he did the best he could right? I bet if he was given time to rehearse it wouldn't have been so bad.
Deftones did good, but see the point of the song is to feel it with the singers voice, i think JD did great. He puts himself in the position of the song. Most singers just sing it to sing a cover but JD always does well with covers.
Wow! I think JD does a great job. I think I like the Deftones version better but JD is more sincere with the lyrics. Both artists do a great job in their own individual way
I am a HUGE Duran Duran fan , loving the songs like this rather than the "hits" . The original still when I close my eyes i get taken away into the music like a "high". The Korn version has the same effect on me , very good job on that. This version not so good, but can't expect miracles live LOL
@RockyBalboa7777 I'm a classically trained singer. My "classical" range is between 2 and 2,5 octave, but I don't use my falsetto voice when I sing, unless I do pop gigs and the song "demands" it, of course. Including falsetto, my range is at about 3 octaves. Voix mixte is used a lot in classical singing, but Jonathan goes "out" at the top of his range, the exact opposite. As well, when reaching the top notes, a classically trained singer wouldn't "press" their eyebrows. At least not good ones.
