With no time served (there will be lot of it b/c they are so arrogant acting and use every appeal possible ! Plus 7 years. One year for the safety of each one of his children to be kept (further) the hell away from him (so the youngest will be at least 27 by the time he gets out)! I also think his wife may need literally help getting away (physically). Not to mention help emotionally! They have her STUCK there (she may have to be playing their game to keep her kids)...I follow them on several other places for different perspectives and info. Then,I filter it for myself. I don’t think she can leave if she wanted to (and she may want to 🤷‍♀️). Like any good abusers, they have isolated her from the world, probably convinced her it is religious persecution (snd “nothing no other many doesn’t sin by doing outside their Cult.” DHS just went after him because blah blah blah...God...blah blah blah”). On top of which She also has a Covenant Marriage (very hard to get out of, takes money she doesn’t have/have access to, and quite a bit of time. She may have to play the long game to get out (particularly with her kids in that CULT). Plus she needs counseling BADLY. And a particular type...intensively. I have lot of opinions about the Duggars. Except for Jill snd Derrick (and sometimes Jinger and John David/Abbie-and poor Josiah). Otherwise, they aren’t very good ones. AT ALL.

He could get 20 a piece for both counts he is 33 plus 40 would make him 73 when he gets out

I’m so sorry you had to go through this. I grew up in a Christian family and this was told to me as well. When something horrible happened to me as a child I felt like I couldn’t come forward because I felt like I would be shamed because my body was no longer “pure”. I will never raise my kids that way!

The unfortunate reality is that Anna was raised in the same cult Josh was raised in. This means she's been taught for her entire life to be subservient to her man, and that if he steps out of the marriage, it's probably her fault. She has zero support in leaving Josh, as her family & his are so indoctrinated in this cult that she would be completely alone with 7 kids. She's got no job skills, no form of income, and no outside support so even if she DID want to leave, it would be almost impossible. Sadly however, leaving is probably not even a thought in her mind.

She lives on Jim Bobs property too so she is relying on them for financial support. Where can she escape to? That cult limits any outside influences from birth onwards

I used to think it was cool ... as we all did- being in this strange world of many children and how they live and now I can see how damaging it all is. Years and years of therapy and self discovery await these kids. I realize infertility is a terrible issue and IVF and all the other interventions to get pregnant are a miracle. However I do not believe humans were meant to have multiples of that size ( 5,6,7, 8 babies at once) unless it Happens naturally. And as we know - it’s really not natural.

It’s been implied that Jill’s marriage was to take the scrutiny off of Josh’s first controversy coming to light. Jim Bob is said to have friended Derrick to marry off a daughter. I think he was hoping it would be Jana, but Jill liked him and he didn’t care as long as there was a big Duggar wedding. Derrick seems to have been really offended by Jim Bob. I don’t think Derrick’s family is in the Bill Gothard cult either. So they have learned to stay within the cult.

Josh you should actually cover the Gosselin family from Jon and Kate Plus 8. One got sent off to a treatment facility for ADHD, the mom lost custody of him and he lives with his dad and doesn’t talk to any of his siblings or his mom, one of the younger girls also lives with the dad and doesn’t talk to the mom but to the other siblings. It’s sooo messy and none of them are active on social media now in an effort to keep any ounce of privacy that they might be able to get back after a childhood of being on camera non-stop

@The Irey Life TLC and Kate screwed Jon over big time, Jon made a few mistakes post divorce and Kate used it to turn the children against him and poked fun at him when he was struggling for work and waiting tables to make ends meet. Glad Collin and Hannah are with him. Kate alienated all the children from the family and friends who played an important part in the early years of their lives. Most people who have worked with her on other shows and her old Co workers have called her horrible too.

Both of my sisters are public school teachers. I've listened to their horror stories about public school from the teacher's perspective, and I'm currently witnessing the horrible education my niece and nephews are getting in a public school in a very well-to-do area. They can barely write, and none of them know their multiplication tables due to common core spiral method of teaching that leaves GIGANTIC gaps. They are 14 and 12 years old for reference. It's awful, and since all the COVID junk started it's gotten worse. Teachers just throw work at them and everything is on a computer and is disorganized. It's horrific. They can't find their assignments, and are regularly up until ten o'clock at night working on hours and hours of homework. If the Lord ever blesses my husband and I with kids, I will homeschool them 100%. There isn't enough money on Earth that would change my mind after all I've seen. Public schools are absolute hot garbage nowadays. And all the decent teachers are quitting because they don't want to deal with all the administration crap anymore.

I truly believe there's an entire underworld to these vloggers...seedy stuff. Money talks...and sex sells....which sex costs the most? It's homeland security jurisdiction bc child porn is almost always crossing state liness when sent across the internet. Doesn't matter if it's in a small or large ring or just to a singular buddy in another state. Sending or receiving nude photos of children or child pornography from out of state (via internet or physically traveling to obtain it or act on it) makes it federal jurisdiction due to our laws. That's why most child porn cases are handled by the FBI & Homeland Security. Bc the internet makes it crossing state lines, which is heavier penalty.
