Back in the 80s there was actually a Journey arcade game. It actually had a tape cassette player inside to play their songs.

So many great songs from a truly legendary band. I can't even list them all but to name a few , separate ways , anyway you want it , faithfully and open arms :)

The arena this show was performed in was called The Summit. It is now Joel Osteen's Lakewood Church.

Steve Perry is still alive and is currently 73 years old. The band was originally formed in San Francisco in 1973. Journey had their biggest commercial success (most hit singles/most albums sold) between 1978 and 1987, when Steve Perry was the lead vocalist. For most of us die-hard Journey fans, it isn’t Journey without Steve Perry, because of his completely unique and powerful voice. As Steve Perry says at the beginning of the song, this video was filmed/performed in Houston, TX as part of Journey’s “Escape“ tour, in support of their new album by the same name. The tour was 6 separate sections of cities, from Jul 27, 1981 - Jul 2, 1982, including the US, Canada and Asia. During the tour they played a total of 132 shows! I got to see this very same concert the night before in Dallas, TX, so I am extremely lucky to have heard the great Steve Perry in person. I will be 65 years old in November, but it’s worth it because of the times I grew up in. The 70s/80s had the best music in my opinion. By the way, there is a version of the band Journey still touring, but it only contains one of the original members, Neal Schon, the amazing guitarist in this video, who is currently 68 years old. Lead vocals are now sung by Arnel Pineda from the Philippines. He is 53 years old and has a very good and strong voice and sounds quite a lot like Steve Perry, but of course there will only ever be one Steve Perry. After Steve Perry left Journey, he recorded 4 solo albums: Street Talk, For the Love of Strange Medicine, Traces and The Season. The first album Street Talk is the best and had two hit singles: Oh, Sherry (the name of his girlfriend at the time he recorded the song), and Foolish Heart (you can find both on RU-vid). ☮️ Steve in Kansas

I think it's cool when generations find the 80's. I graduated from high school in 1986, and I remember going to these concerts and having the time of my life.

Neal Schon and Journey. Steve Perry was lead singer and is still alive, 71 yrs old. Neal Schon is known as one of the greatest guitarists. If I’m not mistaken, he is still part of Carlos Santana’s band. I had the privilege of seeing Neal Schon and Journey band open for Carlos Santana concert in San Jose, Ca. One hell of a great concert!👍

Steve Perry is back in the business. He was away from the stages for a long long time. He knew a Lady but she passed away when she lost her fight against cancer. Now he returned to the studio and made some singles. His voice is as unique as always. In a recent interviewed was asked about coming back with the Journey but he told that he won't be able to go back now that he is gong forward. But again, his New album is great. You must look at it to see how he looks now and how well preserved is his voice after all these years without singing.

Steve Perry is still alive and still singing. He still sounds great but he does not have the vocal range that he used to have.
