ALL the ladies LOVED HIM!!! (& still).❤ To be a a couple rows from the stage, a few times, was a COMPLETE PRIVILEGE, & BEST memories of my youth!!! Journey, & Steve Perry, has always been my favorite. THIS, WAS, THE 80'S, & what a phenomenal time it was, to be alive! Best music, no autotune, no bs, just pure, raw, TALENT, in spades!!! ☺️ Great reaction, thank you.
@@MyMusiclover28 Steve Perry made that galaxy. Even Freddie in an interview when asked, "How does it feel to be the best singer?" answered..."I don't know, ask Steve Perry." Enough said...
Love watching your reactions! Glad you found Steve Perry. He is the best, and the more you listen to him you'll understand why he is called "The Voice". Check out some earlier Journey, like Sweet and Simple and Daydream from the "Departure" album. You'll be blown away at how clean and clear his vocals are, and there's one part of Sweet and Simple that will take your breath away!
Thank you for your reaction on Steve Perry's Open Arms. Steve Perry has a God Given Gift. Journey is always going to bring me back to the years when my life was so free and spontaneous.
I've always loved Steve Perry's voice. His awesome tone & range coupled with that powerful and soulful delivery gets me everytime I hear him. Watching him live or in a video of a live performance is a special treat because you get to see how effortlessly he sings. Journey's musicianship is on point as well. Easily in my top 10 of bands! Please react to Journey's "Faithfully". You won't be disappointed😁 Congrats on the bump of subscribers too...C'mon in da room y'all!
Dont Stop Believin, Faithfully, Open Arms....Journey is timeless. Even my young girls know them and have me crank it up. I love artists (cause Steve Perry is absolutely an artist) that can hit me throughout my lifetime and carry over to my children. Thanks for this. And your comment on a Chris Stapleton reaction was perfect, music has no color. Keep em coming!!❤🙏
The original. One of the best male vocalists from my era. Early 80's. I'm so glad you've gotten turned on to this group. Big HUGS. ❤❤❤❤ I'm so loving you feeling it. You must listen to more of them. You're AWESOME. Let me subscribe right now.
Steve Perry wasn't in a band for the lifestyle; he was in it to entertain an audience. He took his craft very seriously and took care of that precious voice of his; he was determined that every performance would be as close to perfect as he could make it. So not just talent and skill, but real professionalism. And, yes, easy on the eyes as well.
Gotta do Girl can’t help it - live. Journey took a new direction, and brought in sessions artists. You will see Randy Jackson of American Idol fame on bass. That’s how he knows what perfect pitch sounds like- he listened to Steve Perry live a lot.
Thank you for reacting to this epic power ballad. This was the original version of the song, written by Steve and journey`s keyboard player Jonathan Cain.
You love Journey so much and really understand Steve Perry’s vocal perfection. So I feel you should listen to Mother, Father, Sister live. I believe is was in 1981. Let me know what you think.
I have to agree with the other commenters, “Mother Father” is a “drop the mike” vocal performance from Steve!!! Not to mention the musicianship from the band!
Told you my friend, this dude can crank the vocals. That same concert.. Houston Live... Mother, Father.. a great combo of instrument and vocals; especially the ending of that song.. you will freak !!! Great reaction to a great band.. thanks again bro.. You still need to check out Dixie Highway (live)... and Still they ride (live)...
@@lromero8181 One of my favs too Minnie... TSR keeps listening he will create a library of Journey.. this group is so diversified in their music.. a great combo of lyrics and instruments.. off the charts.
I love this song! I'm a huge Journey fan! Everyday I take the bus to and from work. I always have my headphones and my phone. Sometimes even my Tablet but I get on the bus, pay my $2.50 fare and then I open my RU-vid Music App and automatically my 'Morning Music' comes up or 'Evening' depending on the time but Journey comes up first always. I love this era. I love Steve Perry's hair. I love his whole attire. Neil Schon is fkn amazing. He is the founder of Journey. He has been doing it right since he is about 15 years old. Santana even had him playing for the band before he was ever heard of. The entire band was touched by God!
People need to check out ALL of Steve Perry’s Solo work from Street Talk album, For the Love of Strange Medicine, Steve. Perry’s Greatest Hits….to his 2018 Traces and Christmas (Seasons) 2021. He is 73 years old now!!
Thank you for reacting to Journey. You have an awesome voice also. Please react to Journey’s Mother Father live in Houston 1981 to really see Steve Perry’s vocal range. You won’t regret it.
Nick, your Journey/Steve Perry reactions are legend. So you GOTTA do some Foreigner. Their lead singer is right up there in the slay-the-vocals category. Waiting for a Girl Like You, I Want to Know What Love Is, Jukebox Hero, Urgent. I'd flip my shit to see you do those. Stay safe man!
You have just listened to THE VOICE 💙🎤😃♥️ This nickname was given to Steve by Jon Bon Jovi Within the last couple of months, billboard 100 had a contest to pick the best rock singer of all time Steve Perry was picked overwhelmingly he was so moved by that This man is very humble. He’s a kind man from what I’ve understood. I have been a fan of his since the first album he was involved with Journey infinity album I believe that was 1978.
He could get all the women in the world. Yes! Beautiful in so many ways...and a great guy, class act, too. You have to admit that this version of Open Arms - the ORIGINAL power ballad- is the best. Steve doesn't over sing it...perfection.
Steve Perry is the GOAT ofvocals. Journey has been my favorite group of all time. They never get old. It was sad when Gregg Rolle left. Steve left because he said he was Tired. Neal on guitar has never really gotten the noteriety on how great he is.
