You can see the old ass gears in his head turn and clunk as he understands that between the excavator, his hip replacement, his knee replacement, and his back brace, he might as well be running out there with a 10 foot copper pipe trying to get struck by lightning
Im with Roscoe, do it yourself bossman. I was wearing an old school welding hood (non battery type) when a lightning bolt hit a transformer on a pole across the street. It was only a light mist, so I wasn't worried. When the bolt hit, I was blinded and a surge went up one leg and out my arms. Needless to say, the bar opened early.
Goddamn, what are the chances of surviving such lightn8ng, mothernature don't play games, which is why the darwin awards xist for that reason, I'm just glad you didn't win that awards, cause I'd rather a dumba$$ win it than you my guy, you lucky with that luck, not many peoples get out of situation like that.
As someone who has worked outside in heavy rain, and perhaps a little bit of far off lightning, while trying to do utility locates, I don't blame Ricky or Roscoe. Also now I work with Hydro Excavation trucks, and the safety rule is that they shut down for at least 30 mins when lightning is spotted, because even though they have grounding equipment, you don't!
Yeah, I've worked with companies before that cut corners on safety and the whole time I was thinking, "Why am I risking my ass just to save these bastards a couple bucks?"
It's Nicholas aka Big Hoss and our company does that non sence hydro crap, y'all can have that I'll stay my tail in a heavy haul rig with rubber tires outta the weather. I don't get paid them labor wages lmfao CDL stands for can't do dumbass labor ...ok except for this last week when I had to show the new rookies a thing or two before they messed up some equipment
They’re just big vacuum trucks, they’re not only used in hydro excavation projects. But I agree, most construction projects have a special rule, is to go to somewhere safe, at the first sign of lightning, then when the storm passes and in that case it’s in the summer when storms do pass, your not allowed to continue work until 30 minutes after the last reported lightning strike, or until the storm is at least 10 miles away.
As a Floridian who was actually crazy enough to go through a hail storm to get a burger I still gotta say I agree with Ricky. I don't feel like potentially becoming a human lightning rod at work.
If it’s too bad outside for Roscoe then you done know it’s bad. I think this would be a great opportunity for the safety man to give a demonstration on how to safely put the equipment back up during a “drizzle”
Brother your lighting, effects and ambient sounds apartment were on point today! Edit: I live just an hour or two away from you and yeah, it got nasty! We were putting a roof on my house... Needless to say we stopped quick!
I've literally had a thunderstorm in my front yard, and it's sunny in my backyard. Weather near the Gulf Coast is one weird breeze away from confounding us with something new everyday.
Hey bro just recently found your videos. I am hooked been binge watching for 2 days Roscoe is my fav character.i haven't actually laughed out loud for so long.appreciate you keep it up bro
LOL! Keep watching your videos and I just keep on visualizing actual coworkers I work with that are damn near perfect matches to so many examples given!
The fact that you funny ASF😂🤣😂🤣and you're attentive to other lifestyles gives these skits life, to me. You are on your way to acting, more and more and I can tell you NOW, TP(IYKYK)ain't got nun on you, muh boi.
Hmm interesting. I clearly dont know anything on the matter. This was right after a very serious storm, so I just assumed the lightning was real. So no chance that it was real and he waited for the strikes for us? 😂
Shout out to all you lightning rods... i mean lineman that have to work in that shit. Kidding aside not nearly enough respect is paid to y'all for what you do, thank you
That’s the same kind of boss that wants you to jump into a 12 foot hole with no staging or bracing saying “I wouldn’t tell you to do anything I wouldn’t do” 😂😂😂😂😂
I actually had a boss tell me that once... once... I told him "ok, I'm going to need to see you physically demonstrate how to do it because I have no idea how", he told me no, and I told him that is my answer then because I'm not doing it without him demonstrating it first so I know how it's done
Working in northern Michigan. Most jobs don't have power when we show up! Some don't have it when we finish. Most mornings and n the winter when we start are in the single digits. And they don't end much higher
Yesterday dead ass in Batesville Arkansas lol. My dang dogs was trippen lol kept getting notifications saying Lighting 1.2 miles away and could hardly get to gas station because it's so FLOODED AND had to drive to Mountain View in that crud for my dang Dad
Yep, just like every boss. I gotta go do some "paperwork" so I can't do the hard/hazardous jobs I'm telling everyone else to do. I'm going to go sit in my office and "do work" with the door closed and locked (and even pull down the blinds if they have them)........... I'm agreeing with Ricky on this one.
Lemme tell you something. I'm Jamaican. Grammas got a small lil fishing set up, help out sometimes when I'm back home. When you hear this shit during storm season! Naaaaaah lemme go head get back on inside. I don't think thats for me😂
