The Part 2 dub is not really accurate at all but man its comedic timing is so on point. It amps up the comedy of the original version in a way that's really funny

Absolutely agreed. It’s just that the biggest problem with the movie, and like most people who prefer the original Japanese language is the dialogue matching the mouth movements. I however don’t care about the mouth movement matching the dialogue. The reason why I like dubs over subs is the ENERGY the dub actors put into the characters, it’s like they pour their hearts and souls into them.
@@TPDManiacXC626 Same here. I wish the English VA's were allowed just a little more freedom. At certain points in the movie, their lines just felt a little too forced or too scripted. And I'll be honest, the lip sync didn't really bother me the first time I watched it. Most wouldn't notice it unless they were specifically looking for it.
@@casanimated1715 I think it sounds like that because the VA's say it quickly. If you say "Goemon" really fast a bunch of times, it sounds phonetically like "Goyamon".
That vampire scene is golden, where Jigen just goes "I know you've been Shinto for like 10 generations or something but that doesn't mean crap to a vampire" to which Goemon responds "you know, there's something very offensive about that" ALSO "the ol' exploding Bear trap in the ass trick" THESE ENGLISH VA'S ARE FUCKING TREASURES

There are at least two types of savages, the Straightforward Savage, and the Subtle Savage. Goemon for the most part is a Straightforward Savage, but he can be Subtle Savage on occasion. A perfect example of a Subtle Savage would be Lawrence from Ratchet and Clank. Lawrence: You put the “wit” in “twit”, sir.

@@TPDManiacXC626 Yes the series is rather inconsistent. Sometimes he knows how to operate machinery and other times he doesn’t. There was a point where he didn’t know the gas from the brake in the Fiat. But he’s such an archaic character so it’s always funny to see regardless
@@TPDManiacXC626 around those times until season 4 (someone said this) majority of the episodes were random stories with some having a sequel/connection. Its basically a Multi-Universe for the Lupin world until season 6 (in my perspective) we are getting a REAL plot aka Lupin vs Sherlock Homles next generation.
2:56 GENUINELY one of my favorite clips of all time it made me scream the first time i heard it. i had _barely_ consumed any lupin content at the time so i just assumed it was jigen (couldnt tell the voices apart, and didnt know goemon could be _snarky)_ but knowing its goemon genuinely makes it so much sillier. i love him so much "thank you :)"

But who would you think would be worthy enough bride material for him? I got two candidates in mind. First: Shigure Kosaka from Kenichi the Mightiest Disciple. She too carries a sword that can cut through anything. Plus, she's quiet, mysterious, and snarky as Goemon. Second: Saeko Busujima from Highschool Of The Dead. Saeko is just as good as Goemon with a sword and would be more than happy to knock boots with Goemon.
Lupin III began in 1967, way before other manga. So you can consider Goemon to be a grandfather of samurai protagonists in manga and anime as well as the descendant of fictional samurai protagonists before him.

You would be surprised. This would have more proofs thrown in with good rhetoric and trying to avoid fallacies in their argument for why a 3 minute egg must boil for 3 minutes. Then it would probably end with some statement about God, communism or Disney. Could be positive ot negative but relly they just go on and on. What was I talking about again?

Yea, but this is also one of the newer dubs in comparison to some of the others. For most of the newer Lupin the III stuff I think this cast, at least in some parts, still do some of the voices, I could be wrong.
@@BlueResetti From what I can tell at least the trio of Lupin, Goemon and Jigen are the same. Zenigata seems to be different, and I don't know about Fujiko. Beyond those I have no idea who exists, who's a reference and who's new.
Edited: it's from the never dubbed Lupin VIII pilot. Forgot all about it! The clip where he kills the fly - dunno if I'm familar with it. Looks pretty sweet though!
