The jury in the Karen Read murder trial went home for the weekend without reaching a verdict. WBZ-TV's Kristina Rex spoke with a legal expert about what happens next.
Those facial expressions that the jurors and even the judge specifically told her to stop making makes me believe more guilty written all over her every day🤥
@@lauriemcguiness7135 After two years of dealing with this and the circus that Bev is presiding over, KR is controlling herself quite well. I prefer to base guilt or innocence on evidence instead of facial expressions.
I haven't followed the trial in detail, but if they don't get a verdict on Monday, I'd say a mistrial is in order. I have no opinion on her actual guilt or innocence.
With the KR crowds outside the courthouse and all kinds of social media flying around the Judge should have sequestered the jury. Chances of outside influences the jury is far too risky.
Actually I disagree with this guy's assertion that the government has to retry in the event of a hung jury. Let's face it, this case has been an absolute embarrassment to the various police departments and especially the MSP. Knowing now what kind of abuse they are going to have to go through all over again at a retrial I think there will be enormous pressure on the prosecution to either come up with a sweetheart negotiated plea which would guarantee no prison time for Karen Read; or, in the alternative? Just let it go. You can't win'em all. This has been a complete PR disaster for the entire criminal justice apparatus in Massachusetts and the only way to stop that bleeding is to end it as quickly and as quietly as possible. Remember now.....all those people supporting Karen Read wouldn't be doing so unless they honestly believed she was an innocent defendant getting railroaded by the system. And the state is not going to neutralize that perception by repeating a trial filled with prosecutorial blunders. Of course this jury may shock us all and come back with a guilty verdict. I don't know how that is remotely possible but OJ's jury found him not guilty so you never know.
The DA is not required to retry. In some cases, public sentiment would demand a retrial (e.g. Phil Spector), but in this case I don't expect many people would mind if it were dropped.
What does these police officers have on everyone in that town? Reeks of cover up, witnesses perjuring themselves, a bias judge and now someone on the jury thinks she’s guilty? There’s some serious corruption happening here, in plain sight 👀
The judges is not good. Is ridiculous trial. She is acting mind. Coolest woman with hard heart. She didn’t care his lover. Obviously. I don’t know if she will be convicted for acting bad. She doesn’t have a good heart. Consequence of alcohol one more time. Because bobo cops. For date with that tipe of women.
If only we could believe you 'Karen'. Stop lying to yourself and the rest of the jury and making those damn faces at people otherwise its pointless to say you are so innocent
Omg she is so innocent wake up. So many mistakes and lie mcalberts said and did . Johns hands alone tell a story they are in a fist just like a fight that's how he died .the truth and karma will be shown just wait for it .justice for karen and john ,
@@ImaOKay522 You remind of that kid in school that kept trying to put the round peg in the square hole. The injuries do not line up to the damage on her vehicle. Deny it all you want but reality and physics won't change.
@@ImaOKay522 It's interesting that "her words" never made it into any report or brought up in the Grand Jury yet the flat earthers base their decision on that instead of real evidence.
