Sounds like this will be the ship I choose next year from the year-long event campaign. Cuz I sure as hell ain't opening boxes or spending a billion+ credits on it.
I was right... I had guessed that the Konnie A would be the ship. Cuz that was really the only notable ship from Star Trek Beyond I could think of. Glad we can swap parts with the other two Konnies. I was concerned when I saw it was called Constitution 2.

Nice ship collection. Actually, I like the connie 3 :-), also because it is unique and like how it looks. The new one won't bother with, like you said, since I got the legendary. thx for the review.
!: That collection is awesome! 2: I'm a bit disappointed that the Konnie II is so meh stat-wise. I've been wanting it in the game for ages, so I hoped they would do something really interesting with it. Like, it is perfectly fine, so I may still take a shot at getting one, but I wish it was more then just "okay"
This ship does look kinda fun, and is would be very nice for my Kelvin Timeline-themed Space Barbie (albeit mostly for the kitbashing), but my main issue is that it's in the R&D Promo packs. I have had a T6 Infinity lockbox choice pack for _a whole year_ that I've been saving for when a new ship I want is released, but since I got it, all the ships I've wanted have been either in Promo packs or new lockboxes. At least new lockboxes can also drop things like kit modules or weapon packs. After trying to get the Shrike, I'm sitting in more R&D materials than I know what to do with.
What I would love with the new Dyson ship is if they did a commander sci temp and lt. Commander tac MW and yes when you hit tac mode they switch. Can go tac with MW for the pew pew then switch to sci mode for some good EPG and temporal abilities.
I love your shelf! Thank you for the video! I can only imagine how difficult it was to make. If we're talking about looks I've always hated the Konnie. It just looks clunky to me. And...you've got to wonder what Kael and them are thinking when they build up hype to reveal a new ship, not to the blare of trumpets, but the drone of The Price Is Right fail horn.
Holy crap, that collection of ships! I want to see each and every one of them. Does STO still allow you to have your ships 3D printed? Onto the topic of the video...the Kelvin Timeline Constitution. I've never liked that ship, even when the movie came out. I leveled up my legendary Kelvin Constitution-class (I will never, ever call it a Connie...I hate that), but never flew it again.
Sadly, no. Cryptic and GamePrint ended their partnership a while back, so no more 3d printed STO ships. I have a few of those, but most of my collection is from Eaglemoss/Hero Collector.
Why would you be surprised they stick a trait on a ship that that ship won't use? It's called marketing! You get people who want the ship to buy the ship & you get people who want the trait to buy the ship! 😆 I've said for a long time that ship traits was a brilliant idea to make money. You hate a ship and would never buy it... But we stuck a juicy trait on it! 😈
nice ships Stu, I will say this though it would help if you had like a couple of dedicated shelves featuring the ships, the plaques behind the respective ships and the captains, probably need another Defiant since it had more than one captain on another note, that ship is one I will NOT be getting, the console's good and all but the amount of hoops you have to jump through, not worth it, if it was Zen store ship then I'd blow a 100% off coupon to grab it
I like the Eagle Moss models. But they're just to goddamn expensive, IMO. I have the art asylum / joyride studios models that are a foot long with lights and sound that cost nearly the same! And with the increasing quality of 3D printing probably not a sustainable business model to ask people to pay $25 for a 3-inch ship of not spectacular quality. Back in the day I bought the Micromachines Star Trek collector boxes for $25 and you got like 15 little plastic ships. Was the quality great? No. Was it a good price? Yes! Oh and another thing I don't like... For that price I would want the ships to all be in scale to each other. 😝 I bought the ships for that Star Trek game by Wizkids, Attack Wing. Cheaper than Eagle Moss, about the same size, and at least they come with a game to play! I even bought the big ass Borg cube and DS9. 🤣
Most of are from the Eaglemoss/Hero Collector collection. Eaglemoss went bankrupt, so they don't make them anymore, but you can still find them online. Master Replicas bought up most of their remaining stock and has been selling it off as they get it (that's how I got a lot of these). There's also Real Merch, they have a decent stock of them too, and I have an affiliate code with them that'll get you 10% off (code: Stu1701)
Promo boxes are disgusting. They promote gambling. I am disgusted that one ship could cost so much. I just want one ship and now they do this. I was looking forward to this ship's release, but they had to put it in a box and stick a ridiculous price tag on it that shouts "scam!" The ship ultimately will cost a small fortune for anyone to buy. And at the end of the day its not even real and ultimately you own, nothing. The fans are being scammed and I am disgusted. Shame on you STO. Let us buy the ships we want and stop scamming us. I see players simply walking away from the game if they keep this up. Rant over. Sigh. Playing this on 2 times speed, you look like you are on weed and crack at the same time. Most entertaining! Also 5/3 layout ships that can't fire cannons, are..... yeah.....
The new science destroyers look neat but I agree that the gimmick is weak. I didn't like it at tier 5, and unless they've added a 2nd gimmick to it (like your consoles idea) these will probably flop also.
Of all the promo ships to ever get released, I think this one got passed over immediately. I've got no messages of anyone (annoyingly)winning it ingame and to date, I've only seen just one person actually using it around spacedock. Maybe I was in a different instance? But it seems to me there's really no excitement for the Kelvin Connie II whatsoever.
So basically, I'm going to get this ship, just for the skin. Why use this over the 10th bundle variant when, for roughly the same price, I get 10 ships account unlocked. I love her design, but the stats are once more underwhelming. Why isn't she a Miracle Worker? We have no Kelvin Miracle Worker ships in the game!
I agree, Miracle Worker would've been better if you just look at the other two Kelvin Constitutions, but the Constitution III isn't that old yet, and it was MW/Pilot.
@@Stu1701 Let's say a new player is confronted with a choice. The 10th bundle or this ship. An account has a max of 8 characters F2P. That means that the 10th bundle has between 72 to 80 times more value than this at roughly the same price on drop rate averages. Why...
The Legendary Kelvin Constitution is the original Kelvin Enterprise as it looked in Star Trek Beyond, after having gone through at least one refit, the one that gets destroyed by the Altamid swarm. This is the Enterprise-A, the one you see constructed at the end of the movie.
Are you kidding? I've seen plenty of people ask for this ship, even before it was teased that we were getting a ship from Star Trek Beyond. It's an Enterprise, of course people were asking for it.
Still no Freedom Class. Another overpriced lockbox ship that nobody asked for. . STO, still blowing it at every turn no matter how many times a year they are bought and sold. LAME.
No one wants this ship, especially now after they've added it to the Promo box....and putting it into said promo box seems like they know no one will want it and make those that do pay big for them.
