KK's Priest - The Sinner Rides Again (Album Review) 

"You cut the head off the demon Wiping the blood from your face!!!" I Freaking love the way tim sings that line, he have such a badass voice!

I have to say, that Keeper of the graves is my favourite song from the new album. I agree everything you said about that song. I grabbed the LP version last friday when it came out. I listened it from spotify at work and after work from LP. Just a fantastic record. Good job KK and boys.

Man, what an incredible album from start to finish! I’ve listened to it all the way through 6 times since its release, and it has literally gotten better for me every time. I love the debut as well, and I can’t pick a favorite between them, and I don’t have to! I’d say “Strike of the Viper”, “Reap the Whirlwind”, “Hymn 66”, and the title track are my favorites, but there’s not a weak track whatsoever. Love this band!

I was hoping for the same bass sound as the first album which I loved. Seem like they scaled back a bit. The bass sound on sermons is always how I thought Ian Hill should have sounded on Priest albums. Not buried in the mix. Only spin the album once and I liked what I heard. Seems heavier and darker than the first. The first album had hints from the entire priest catalog where this one only sounds pretty much like Painkiller era.I have to listen more to get a true assessment , but so far 7.5/10

Listen whole album,and imiadetly can say Keeper of the Grave is favorite song here,totaly diferent,and Wash Away Your Sins also..all in all excelent album..

I am planning to purchase as a LP, and pray they visit the USA in 2024.

I like the first album better

The crosses add so much atmosphere to this review, especially the one king diamond shirt. I’m glad I came across this video another album is excellent news. I can’t wait to listen to it in its entirety when it comes out.

Fantastic album, not a bad song on it, I prefer over his debut, my opinion.

37 minutes?

little bit too much aaaaa oooooo in songs and terrible sad they cutted.off the last two songs, especially sad for Pledge you souls. I hate songs without normal endings. Pledge you soul they finishes in beautiful moment You want more and it..ends. Big mistake. But album is great. Wonderful music. One more shot at glory is one of the best metal songs written in the last 20 years. Pledge you soul chorus is incredible. Keeper of the grave...wonderful song.. Maybe the best of album. It has deepest soul of metal.

I was disappointed in this album. After hearing Reap the Whirlwind, one of the best heavy metal songs of all time I figured the rest of the album would be like this song - fast, heavy, and short in length but I was wrong. The majority of the songs start off too slow and too long -usually between 1 and 2 minutes. Then it gets heavy but stays slow to med-tempo. And then it goes back to slow again . There was not a last of fast music. For some reason, KK has this idea that this is how his songs should be played - slow intro like Iron Maiden past few albums. The lyrics aren’t the best as he uses a lot of Judas Priest song titles. But to me lyrics aren’t a priority. I don’t care if the lyrics aren’t great - as the long as the riffs are great that’s the key. This album could have been a lot better if KK removed a lot of the slow parts and played faster. I thought ripper’s vocals were great
