This is a video about Krown rustproofing for vehicles. It's an awesome product that you have done annually. This is the second treatment on my Toyota Tacoma pickup truck and I show what it looks like underneath after a year of driving it in the rustbelt of Michigan roads. The facility that I use in Rochester Michigan even let me video the whole process, very cool, great company to deal with.

Northern Vermont salt capitol here, been oil spraying my vehicles for over 25 years using Bar & Chain oil and never looked back.. Oil Spraying works...

Krown is an excellent product. There have been serious rust issues with the frame on these Toyota trucks as you pointed out in the video, but with annual Krown treatments you won't experience that.

This stuff is amazing. I have a 15 year old vehicle that’s been sprayed for the first 8-9 years. It’s just started rusting because I haven’t sprayed it the last 6-7 years.

Thanks for making this video. I’m heading to a krown dealer today to get it rust proofed by them. They should give ya a discount for advertising.

I'll get it done again in August. Remember after you get it done not to get the underbody wash when you go through the car wash.

Awesome. I live 2 hours from the coast in Texas…Maybe go there 4 months out of the year. I’m really thinking about doing this bc I want this truck to last till the wheels fall off.

Hey Greg, we just bought a 2024 4Runner Limited coming off of an 06 Tundra that we Absolutely Love, but alas the frame is almost rusted through (I am going to have it fixed & use as a Winter/two track vehicle & save the 4Runner) & we Never had it treated Damn-It !!! Had we known back in 07 when we bought it we Definitely would've had it done back then. Hindsight being 20/20 and after Much Research we are going to have The Krown Treatment done to this one as we live in Northern Michigan and are Lucky enough to have a Krown Shop up in Gaylord about 35min away from us here in Roscommon/Higgins Lake. My Only Concern is with the brake rotors & pads getting Contaminated with ALL that Overspray Flying around in the air while they are treating it. Do you have ANY thoughts/concerns regarding this issue ??? Thanks & Great Video Greg !!!😉

I had no issues with the brakes being contaminated, and they did spray everything heavily.

Woodtick greg I did krown my 2020 tacoma last spring, and I'm going to keep doing this every year. Question for you, Do you car wash your truck during winter season?

I do run it through the car wash but I don't get the underbody spray, I only wash the salt off the top side. Only time I get the underbody washed is right before I Krown it again.

Do they offer descaling? Krown or Fluid film?

I don't know. I guess you'd have to call and ask them. My vehicle wasn't rusty, I've had it treated by Krown since it was new.

the brown tire stuff's probably from using tire shine (causes tires to crack & brown)

I haven't used tire shine before this treatment so I don't think that was it. It did wash off so I'm thinking it was whatever the soap was they washed it with. The next treatment didn't do that and I do use tire shine now. So I dunno. Lol.

Do they professionally plug or cap those holes they drill?

@oilerguy5494 They put a plastic cap in the holes, they will not rust because of the creeping action of the oil.

@oilerguy5494 Krown is an odor free oil, it is non toxic and has no smell. You can park it on a lawn after it is treated and as it drips on the lawn it won't kill the grass. Krown advises not to park it on a cement driveway for a week, but I do and it doesn't per.anently stain the concrete. It can be washed off. Also do not get a car wash that washes the underbody as it can wash the oil off. I just get the absolute cheapest car wash in the winter to clean the paint, I don't worry about the bottom of the truck, lol. Get it treated annually and your vehicle will last a long time. I just bought a used rust free truck that will be getting the Krown treatment real soon. I swear by any oil based rustproofing method but the Krown dealer near me in Rochester Michigan is awesome and they do good work.

I use fluid film myself, not one drop in my driveway.

That's awesome but you know that buddy there is spraying liberally af because he knows this is on video and going on RU-vid. They're not this generous. At least not the 3 krowns I've been to.

I dunno, the place I go to is pretty good. I watched them spray other cars that where in front of me and they where just as thorough. All the krown shops are independently owned, I'm lucky I have a good one near me.

I wouldn't go there. Ever. In trests their products dont do well. I went to a similar place when i was younger. I do it myself now.

Well hopefully I never have to go there. So far so good. 2 years and the truck still looks new underneath. And I live in the rust belt. I'll continue to get it done every year.

@@woodtickgreg6926 In 20 years I'll probably be dead, but my 1997 died of rust, and the 1987 also died of rust in the seams, krown did nothing for me both times, they inspected both everyear, they won't get me a third time.
