Lae'zel Voice Actor On Changes To The Character in Baldur's Gate 3 

Yaa I love those small lines like chk or stuff like that

I haven't gotten past act 1 but i think lae'zel is my favorite character. What i know of will is cool, gale is okay Astarian is pretty vampire tv show generic. And because i was playing a selune cleric i grew to hate Shadowheart. Even with a different character i still hate her. I havent been able to get karlach yet, my first character killed rhe dryids and she attacked me. My second character im trying to stick to the dark urge.

That is right, I thought she was really rude at the beginning but she is a soldier, specially a githyanki one, then she started to trade barps with Shadowheart while I just laughed listening them fight. Lae'zel is now one of my favorite characters on the game.

Yaa she is one of those characters that not many liked in the beginning but if they stayed a bit longer then they will enjoy her story

Yaa she definitely has a lot of interesting moments

Mine got killed by Shadowheart because I critically failed to calm them when they fought :/ But that opens up a new playthrough with this character.

I missed her, too, and was mad, until I found her corpse and tried rezzing her with a scroll. It worked.

Voice acting is basically acting

@@BehindTheVoicePod no they are two different skill sets. Ive seen really good actors who are terrible at voice acting. Jared Padalecki who played Sam Winchester both in live action and the animated series, was really good actor but a poor voice actor. Ive also seen enough actors talk about how different voice acting is from normal acting too. Mark Hamill in particularly has talked in length in the difference in how he approaches voice acting vs acting.

​@@Scarletraven87Githyankis do speak like that actually, they have many different styles of speech and Lae'zels is from her creche. This is read about, not an excuse. It's more so you just don't know yet are acting as though you do. Be respectful when so ignorant to the topic.

It’s generally called a booming voice. I know because I have the male version of her voice irl. Low pitched and shouldn’t seem loud, but I’ve always been told my voice “carries” as in it can be heard from far away despite me sounding like I’m whispering (I pretty much can’t whisper). Voices like this are also easily picked out in a crowd because they sound extremely odd. Imo it was a good narrative choice for her personality and makes everything she says sound extremely serious, but regardless of opinions it is a voice some people naturally have irl

Too bad cause she has the best character development in the game. They intentionally made her harsh at first so she could experience the most growth in the game
