It pisses me off that she saying her life sucks just for attention, I hate people like that who have okay lives, maybe something that's going on I don't know of that's makes her life miserable
@@screamingbanshee1282 every story on them shows are staged....i dont get made about, its the nature of the show business , i heard of her and i didnt get why she was hated until grayson broke it down i see why shes getting ridiculed
@@maciejgrzegorzoprzadek7401 no but come on the baggy clothing grey-ish hair and chains is a very "billie" look. also lael's style of music, from the soft vocals to the instrumentals, is very similar to billie's
@@carol-dk6vc Google has a bunch of results saying that it was her. I'm sure there were definitely other people who did it, but I guess Lael was the one who was specifically called out on Billie's IG.
I went to the same high school as Lael and let me just say our city is not “in the middle of nowhere” lmao. Sweetie it’s literally 15 min away from a major city in Canada.
@@justpeachy4469 I’m not sure if that is sarcasm or not. I don’t know where she lived all I was saying is i live in a small town (5,000) in between two major cities and it feels so rural and in the middle of no where. Sorry I’m bad at reading emotion or stuff like that
The weird thing about her shading Billie Eilish for "selling her soul" or whatever is didn't Billie actually call her out for dressing up as her in public and causing a big scene that could have potentially gotten people hurt? So she's just mad?
@@ugh1230 The original video is gone because, like Grayson said, Lael deleted all of her old videos, but if you search "Lael Hansen Billie Eilish" or something like that you'll see news articles referencing some of her old IG stories about it, and Lael's video was the top result.
@@eyayeahhhhhhhh5555 well isn’t everyone? I mean like the wearing early 2000s streetwear everyone does that now or takes inspo from it cuz her looks were all so good 🌝 that’s why she’s all over my Pinterest. What I don’t like is lael trying to look like 2018 teal hair Billie mixed with Melanie Martinez 😭
I’m honestly concerned for her. Even if this is all PR, someone that can switch to a personality like this and react so extremely to criticism truly is not mentally well. I understand the hate but I hope she has a support system and nothing bad happens.
@@balencii326 GH can not take criticism, it’s obvious at this point. She has skin as thin as fucking glass, and takes any criticism as the most personal attack on her, her character and her trauma
I don't see it as a personality switch. She never faced adversity before, at least in the way she is portraying. She had it all and clearly didn't appreciate what she had.
Honestly I've seen so many "uwu feel bad for me and share the things I do so I can be famous!" working so well This one backfired, for sure, but the amount that worked worries me
She's using too many insults towards other artists, and is guilt tripping in a lot less subtle ways than other people who've used this method. That's why I think it's back firing on her.
Yea there's a sh!t ton of tiktoker artists and whatnot who react to a video, show the massive amount of likes it got and then draw something related to the video and try to guilt trip the viewers into liking the tiktok. The art may be good but they're so annoying and they resort to insulting the other creator as in, "how did this person get so many likes but I didn't??? I have SO much more talent than them" and it's just pathetic.
I immediately thought she was full of it the first time I saw her on my page. She showed snippets of her music videos & they were clearly HIGH ASS QUALITY. So much intense editing, scenery, camerawork, special effects. Those cost MONEY. And I was like “… bro. no way you are genuinely struggling for money & made videos like this?” Idk. It felt super off to me & it continued from there lol
And how much did she make on RU-vid before she left? Like when she would do music reactions? I'm sure she at least made some from that too, she definitely wasn't struggling
Lol I get your point but that doesn’t prevent her for feeling like she feels like garbage. We can stay that about people who are extremely poor but have phones or people with a house.
@@keepyourshoesathedoor its okay to not feel good about yourself, everyone has times like that. but saying “my life fucking sucks” is a stretch. shes being ungrateful.
@@jasmink3841 Again, you only live your life. You only know how your life is. If you think your life sucks then you think that because you only know your life. You could be sitting there battling suicide with a steady 70k coming in and saved up and someone else could have a lot less and are fine. Problems just don’t go away from childhood just because you have privileges. Let’s use the US for example, it is a rich country but there are people that live in straight up squalor and nothing. Compared to a non rich country, can they complain? There’s areas without drinking water. As well, even without the extremes, why isn’t she allowed to say that? There’s a lot of people who feel like garbage everyday or are pretty ok in terms of finances and they got a dying family member or a burden in their family or a lot of crap. She looks spoiled but we don’t know this woman. All we know is she’s an industry plant and Billie Eilish rip off. What if you wanted to complain and people said you couldn’t because you have WiFi (temporary or not) to send this comment and watch this video. You definitely don’t gotta feel bad for her because I don’t but why can’t she say how she feels.
I feel bad for her because she switched up so quick, she says she took a break to "find herself" but it kinda seems like she just wanted to make herself more "relatable" and "edgy" because all of that is popular now. It really is a shame, she needs to find peace with who she is and really wants to be. Kinda reminds me of the tramp stamps lol.
Grayson, I think what you were describing with Lael doing crappy things and getting more attention is called engagement baiting. Engagement baiting is why people on social media will misspell things on purpose or intentionally have crappy opinions on something, it gets them more veiws and likes because people are correcting them on their grammar or are calling them out on their crappy opinions. Not trying to hate, just trying to explain it!
I feel like people who genuinely make industry plants either A) know better than to approach fame this way or B) learned from the mess that was the Tramp Stamps (honestly where did they even go).
“I’ll be wrong, who cares!” That’s truly the best attitude. Also, I feel like that’s just not an effective method for promoting music? All it does is draw people for the drama, and no ones gonna want to be caught enjoying her music cuz now she’s cringe.
Exactly... Some of the worst people on the internet are actually talented musicians but they will never have a music career because art is never separated from the artist in our society. It baffles me that people like her think rage baiting is an effective way to build a fan base. Kinda sad
i don't think the "sell my soul" bit was meant to be homophobic, i think she was trying to be "not like the other girls" by claiming that she's not part of big record labels and she didn't get rid of her creativity to get famous (kinda funny because her music style isn't original and the billie clone comments aren't wrong) i see how it came off as homophobic but i don't think she had that intention (still shitty though)
it looked like in one of her other videos where lil nas x made a parody of her she said "the guy who sold his soul copied me." im sure by this point she had already gotten backlash about how it could be interpreted as homophobic and she continued to run with it, which justtttt sucks
i think it looks extra bad because she just had to include a clip of nas literally turning into a demon, and his clip specifically at the point where she says ‘sell my soul’. it of course could be a major coincidence but the implication is still there. the first time i watched the video i understood her actual intention of the term ‘sell my soul’ referring to big labels ect but i still noticed that the timing of that part of the video seemed really… off.
The way she’s trying to promote her music with the “feel bad for me” stuff just feels scummy. Sure her promotional method works but it’s not gonna keep that many fans around. What she’s doing is exhausting and potentially even toxic, bashing on other artists, woe is me method, pulling a Trisha paytas (doing wild things for views/clicks/attention). I’ve never heard of her and if I wouldn’t have friends who act like this I sure as hell wouldn’t support content creators who do stuff like this
Its such a hard industry to get into also but they doesn’t mean you slate artists who are popular they havent sold themselves out they’ve worked extremely hard some of them and deserve the recognition.
@@kass_G59 no she says in her tik tok that other artists sold there soul implying lil nas x and billie Eilish didnt her there through hard work and they had easy basically.
her first mistake is that after billie eilish dropped off the entire "blue hair baggy clothes" style lael jumped right onto that. her "creepy" videos are highkey inspired by billies bury a friend music video.
I really liked this video! I didn’t know much about her so the way you structured this video was perfect. You made a story I never would have paid attention to a compelling 17 minutes. I would love for you to do more videos in the style. 👍🏻
Omg I remember watching her content sometimes 😭 with her dressing up as Billie and X, plus that weird beef with Bhad Baby lol. A lot of people liked her commentary and personality. When Lael disappeared her fans were genuinely concerned, then when she came back with that tiktok video I rolled my eyes so hard.
Grayson ALWAYS serves in their videos, like their outfits/makeup always pop off. We STAN. This one is giving me preppy private school girl or Jackie Kennedy vibes
@@yourmindisyours1731 In the past, Grayson used to go by she/her and they/them. Currently she only goes by she/her. Hope that explains why Erik used they/them pronouns! 😊 Edit: Quick add-on! When the video was uploaded, Grayson was still using she/they. Hope that makes my wording more clear!
Really makes me sad to see so many people turn on Lael, but it's realistically her own fault for being super disingenuous with her fans and distasteful just to get more attention from people who don't know her. The Fantano TikTok about her pretty much sums it up.
Tbh looking at her other tiktoks, it's hard to believe it's not an industry stunt. The production in her music videos are not something easy for some indie artist to pay, unless you're hella rich. The popularity in her my life sucks video also seems industry-paid to be up (yes, it is a thing on tiktok). It's a bad video but come on, there's a huge lot of way more awful/hateful videos on the platform with 50 views. It all seems way too planned for me.
What kind of person are you to look at a successful gay black man and say “if he has it easy I should have it easy!! give me attention give it to me now!! I want it!! I should be as big as Lil Nas X because I just should be!!!” Okay Veruca Salt
I just think it’s funny she’s pandering that ‘she won’t sell her soul’, yet she’s doing all this abysmal petty stuff for attention. I guess that’s part of the intrigue she wants. Very tactful.
Gosh I hate the ''it was all trolling'' excuse, because it's just a safe way of saying ''I see that my method of promoting backfired hard and I am way too embarrassed to admit it so I will pretend that that was the plan all along''. Basically the ''it's a joke, chill'' after you say something problematic and get called out for it.
Wasn’t Lil Nas X’s song ‘INDUSTRY BABY’ literally about refusing to do what corporate wanted him to do? Or maybe she used Lil Nas X so people would comment & point out that he has the exact same values as her like I just have
you know that episode of adventure time where they find Xergiok loses his eye and that makes him a good person but when he gets them back he gets worse... that's what this feels like
I feel so bad for her and she must just feel absolutely miserable if she's going down this path to get any type of attention. I feel like she must be sad in her life.
are we gonna talk about how the "texts" from her bsf refers to lael as 'her' even though they're talking to each other? shouldn't it be 'you'?????? even if she wanted it to be fake this is too much lmao
I hope that everyone that’s sees this is having a nice day! And if you aren’t, just know that this is just temporary and links a roller coaster, with lows there will eventually be highs accompanied by all in between. ❤️💗
I have really been loving these type of videos from you. I don't like to watch drama but you tell us about things that are going on in an informational but entertaining way.
I feel bad for her, it looks like she’s in the same spot that she was when she left social media! It’s so sad honestly and it shows what can happen to content creators.
irt that thing you said at the end i would love to see internet history videos from you! i found you recently and ive been binging your videos all day + internet history is always rlly interesting to me so yeah that would be super cool
Wild that you uploaded this while I was watching your recent vlog and I was at the part where you were talking about whether or not you'd upload a video today
personally i don’t think that the “industry plant” theory came from the poor marketing/promotion of her song, but more so because she immediately had high quality videos and production despite her making it sound like she was starting from absolutely nothing. most people on tiktok, from my observation, didn’t know who she was or where she came from. i didn’t know who she was or where she came from. i also just instantly thought she was entitled and undeserving of this attention. not because she’s not talented, but because of how she went about getting the attention when there are a lot more artists who actually don’t have a base and do come from nowhere. i personally don’t like her music because i feel like it’s not authentic, but that’s just me. now, i don’t think that she’s an industry plant, but i did at first just because i didn’t know anything about her.
i really like how you did this video, it's the firs time i heard about this situation but i know you explained it perfectly + i love this armchair with flowers
You’re so pretty!!! I just found your channel and have been literally binging all day. You gained a subscriber in me! Thank you for the quality content ☺️💖
Wow. I remember watching her music reaction videos years ago and she even did a video where she went out in public dressed as Billie Eillish and took photos with fans, etc.
i'm soooo happy rn because i never realized that i hadn't subscribed to you and then completely forgot, and this got recommended to me and i'm happy to be able to subscribe finally and also this video was amazing and very constructive. i don't know how you manage to be so genuinely kind while making a sort of commentary video, but i commend you on that! it's a positive influence on all your viewers and that's really good to have
But also Lil Nas did everything on his own, rather than working with a label. And I believe Billie did as well? Working with Finneas on her music? Edit to say I know they both now work with labels, but I meant to start off.
I assume she has a very easy life where all her needs are met with little or no effort. That is the number one recipe for your life sucking, because you have the time to be bored and think about how much more you could do if you put the work in. People with day to day hardship meeting basic needs don't have time to be bored, and when they reach a point where their basic needs are met they keep busy and this allows them to accomplish greater goals.
I honestly felt scared when I see stories like this. As person inside a kpop fandom, we... have gone through so much losses because of the internet hate. I just hope she realizes her mistake, genuinely apologize, and strive to be a better person/singer/musician.
@@saturnsfr i got inside the fandom unconsciously since we liked the same singer, have the same humor, understand eachother and stuff. But some people inside the fandom have extreme thoughts, really mean, or toxic to other fandom. these kind of fans scaresss mee to the bones…. They really thought idols arent human and have to be perfect/fit their image of what they should be.
Tbh I think it's just become common since Lil is a common part of nicknames in the family or with close friends, so when they start a career they incorporate that into a stage name or just add it as a bit of spice. Like one of my friends is called Lil Shawn by everybody instead of Shawn Jr or just Junior.
