John Pryor had a frustrating day today! However, it was a really good day for those of us who think Chad is guilty.

Funny how nobody else died as soon as Alex was gone and Lori & Chad were locked up.

Seeing the kids iPads made my jaw drop today - they kept the iPads, but got rid of the KIDS…..! I knew it, but this was graphic for me. I cannot stop watching this trial, what they did blows my mind.

I keep asking myself how did they think they wouldn’t be caught for the children’s murders ?

as ANNOYING as Prior is I keep imagining him driving home cussing Chad out for not taking a plea and making him look like a douche everyday 😂

I think we’re just waiting on the whipped cream and cherry. 🍒 I’ve been following this case since Dec 2019 and listened to all of Lori’s trial last year. Interesting watching the case against Chad and observing the differences. He’s sunk imo

As a Grandmother of a 7 year old little boy, I just can not imagine the pain that J.J's Grandparents have experienced. Absolutely nauseating, heartbreaking and devastating. My heart goes out to J.J. and Tylee's family. I hope that you can all find peace somehow 💔

My husband and I were vacationing in Kauai the day these 2 were arrested there. I had never heard of them before, so of course given the amount of attention given to them at that time, we learned all about them. We couldn't believe that they were vacationing as though they hadn't a care in the world. It was surreal. These two get whatever's coming to them. Those poor children.

When my husband died the funeral home gave me 10 death certificates, I had no idea how many I would need. I used all 10! I was stunned so if anyone’s loved one passes and you are in charge, get more certificates than you think you will need.

Regarding the police using a DNA sample from Melanie Gibb: It makes sense to me that they did not simply take Gibb's word for it that she was not involved but methodically continued to investigate thoroughly. Melanie Gibb was one of the last people to see JJ alive on Sept 22, 2019 plus she previous told the police that JJ had been with her during the time JJ was missing so it was completely reasonable for her to be a potential suspect.

Also left out, during cross the witness was asked if he found the owner of the laptops in the backpack and nothing significant stuck out but during redirect, the witness confirmed Chads wallet was in the bag along with the currency/laptops. Pretty significant facts there.

JP was awful to Tammy’s friends today.

I wonder if any of those jurors are having to restrain themselves from running over and punching Chad in his smug face. I’m not sure I could sit in the same room with him.

I watch the entire trial daily and my house duties and work have gone down lol but I can’t wait for deliberations so they can finally put this monster behind bars

I work in Rexburg, Idaho and have been following this story since before the news broke about missing kids. I heard all about Tammy’s death before it became known as sus, and then about the quick wedding of Chad to his new wife. Even I, as a complete stranger to Chad, was shocked by how quickly he seemed to get over Tammy’s death. Having been there from the beginning of this investigation, and hearing all about it in the news media, and watching & reading everything I can get my eyes on, I’ve never quite heard the perspective that Peter has been giving us here. I think it would be fascinating to watch a jury trial without any knowledge of either side, or what had happened, like through a juror’s eyes. Peter has a unique perspective and great input as to the ins and outs of a jury trial, and from a defensive perspective too, which I wasn’t prepared to appreciate, knowing this case that way I do and knowing C&L were guilty as sin. I’m totally addicted to this case and want Peter to bring it here often! I say keep it coming! The more often the better!

Thanks Peter. This trial is addicting to me. I cannot fathom what Kay and Larry and Tammy’s friends and everyone who loved these children are going through. Chad and Lori are beyond words. Just ….just. I have six children, 9 grandchildren…they are all my WORLD. NEVER could I imagine a life without them in it.

I mean come on… the entire country at this point is out searching for JJ & Tylee. Not one time did Chad tell “Lori, hey babe, let’s just show them the kids so we can go on with our honeymoon financed by our dead spouses”

Did you talk about the Raccoon on today’s court? That proves Chad was there while the burial happened, of Tylee. He knew and tried to concoct a story for Tammy. Proof he knew. Because he said he shot and buried the “big raccoon” in the pet cemetery, yet when the FBI dug up the pet cemetery, no raccoon bones were found. Only one dog and one cat. Also he made a story to tell Tammy why the fire pit had been used and why such a big fire, he had to burn the “limb debris”. This happened the day after the last day Tylee was seen.

What Prior has to overcome in order to prove Chad innocent already makes me see it a beyond a reasonable doubt. Prior has convince the jury that Lori & Alex went to Chad's home on Sept. 9-10 and stole tools out of his garage late at night and started hacking up & burning Tylee without Chad, Tammy, Garth or Emma across the street noticing anything. Next Prior has to convince the jury that 2 weeks later, not only does Lori & Alex go to Chad's property on Sept. 23-24 but Melanie Gibb, David Warwick, maybe even Melaniece and Zulema, and bound and gag JJ and bury him back there without Chad, Tammy, Garth, and Emma across the street noticing this vibrational séance. Finally, Prior has to convince the jury that, in the midst of all this human sacrificing others are doing on Chad's property, unbeknownst to Chad, that Tammy just randomly up and dies 1 month later on October 19th. Then further convince the jury that Chad was clueless as to the whereabouts of Lori's kids, believed that Tylee was at BYUI & JJ was with Kay or Melanie, even though he was on the call where Melanie says she doesn't have JJ, and Kay is sending the cops to visit Lori because she doesn't have him either...and Melaniece's husband records Chad encouraging all these people, who are somehow conspiring behind Chad's back to commit murder of kids, to not only not talk to cops, avoid cops, but move, run, and hide away so the cops can't find them. Yep, Chad's just one bamboozled buffoon randomly handing out Patriarchal Blessings, and a little 'ole author just trying to sell his books. And if that's not enough, Law Enforcement hate Chad for some reason and want to pin it all on him and are planting evidence and such. Good luck with all of that Prior, because that's what you started with in all your cross examinations as I saw and listened to it, and there's no way out. I can't see a juror on earth saying Chad is innocent at this point, no matter what good defense Prior goes with. He's flung all the mud he has and none of it's sticking like he thinks it is. I feel sorry for the kids, because when they take the stand, I feel like they're gonna get emotionally destroyed when they are forced to answer questions that make them see the truth.

Considering the facts of this case, I think John Prior is doing the best he can do. I’m not a fan of his demeanor, but I can’t fault his effort to defend his client. I’m pretty sure I would just throw in the towel and walk away. Prior will be eligible for becoming Death Penalty certified if he sees this trial through, and I think he deserves it. You take your client and facts where you find them and even if I believe Chad is guilty, I have some amount of respect for a man who completes his job. That’s just me.

I remember seeing the Hawaii body cam footage when it happened and thinking “WTF?!” And then Nate Eaton’s video when he chased them down and asked “where are your kids?” Their behavior was so bizarre given the situation. Chilling.

yes-what do I feel when I see these two monsters by the pool is extreme anger, and seeing the two bicycles pretty much made my brain explode!!! I can't even think of the right words to explain how evil and disgusting they are!!!! So they are out playing while the children are moldering in their graves.

I have listened off and on to this trial. I think if I was a juror I would have convicted him on day one when he is speaking to his daughter while sitting in the police car. He tells her he isn’t coming back. He knew. That ‘confession’ would be forever sketched in my mind if I was a juror.

I think Chad is chest deep in these murders, but I think Lori was driving the bus and making the decisions. She had a lot of reasons to get rid of the kids as a chord of her old life. She wanted free. Chad doesn’t really have that, but maybe Tylee not liking him was his driving force.

Those are all just smoke screens to what this case is really about:money, power, and sex, callously getting rid-murdering-those who interfered with L&C evil , narcissistic plans. L&C own actions condemn them…

Do defendants know the evidence that will be presented against them before trial starts? I just can’t believe while listening to this that Chad still feels like this was a good idea to take it to trial.

BTW, having 15 copies of your spouse's death certificate is not abnormal except to those who haven't been properly warned that you need a lot of them to give to every financial and legal account to prove your spouse is dead amd to put everything in your name. We were advised to get 20 copies by our financial advisor cuz it's cheape= and more convenient to have more copies than you need. We had to give out 12 copies within the first year and then a few more copies 8 years later. We still have some just in case we need to put any other account in any family member's name in the future.

This says GUILTY to me as a human or a juror. They paused and said nothing. Knowing... then the kids belongings (and personal documents) being in the vehicle.

It's interesting to me that nobody asks if Lori and Chad were grieving the children and others having been taken over by dark spirits or whatever. Seems like if you really believed that you would be super upset!

It is not weird to have 15 death certificates, especially if someone has lots of investments or accounts or credit cards, etc., that you have to handle. I had to get 20 when my father died because of all of his investment accounts credit cards and bank accounts so that wouldn’t bother me if I were a juror.

I don't think anyone keeping up with this trail thinks Chad did any of the dirty work, so no his DNA wouldn't be on any of the tools. He was calling the shots , pulling the strings

Having multiple Death Certs is NOT odd/weird. When you are dealing with a decedent's estate, you have to give banks, etc original death certs, because they will NOT take copies, nor can you just show it to them. Each institution/corp wants their own. The funeral place, orders them for you. They are NOT free, and they can take a weeks to get. That is why you get multiples up front.
