@@DanielC00100security as well has this issue. so most of the guards i worked with before going law enforcement get a 1hour to 1 and a half hour lunch depending on the hours we work per shift and some guards sit on their ass for 3-5 hours straight and don’t move or “go to the car for a smoke break” and don’t come back till half of the shift is over. but some company’s won’t fire them because we need bodies on the property/ premises in case something happens and they know this and will abuse it till the big boss doesn’t care anymore.

It depends on the pay for me. because right now where i work i get paid better then most of the people in my field of work. So i like to stay on top of what i do so i don’t get fired for some bs.

Minimum wage is for people with minimum experience and abilities because they're at the job's Entry level. The entry level position is where the employee learns the basics and puts in the time and effort of mastering those basics to prove they can handle more. Once they can do more, that's when they move up to a better position with better pay. Wash, rinse, repeat. So, my question is, If an employee can't handle doing the basics for any amount of time, What makes that employee Worth More than minimum wage? They don't have minimum experience, haven't made more than a minimum effort, and therefore don't have more than minimum abilities. Why would anyone pay more for an employee like that? Just wondering

Minimum wage has nothing to do with it, when I worked at a shop and library that were both starter jobs, I worked really hard at costumer service etc

Yeah. I think this would be more effective than a manager telling them to do their job too. Lazy dudes expect the manager to not like them. They're clearly too good for this place, right. But lazy dudes HATE feeling like their coworkers notice too. They will either quit the job or do better. Either way, win/win
