Circling back to create (see what I did there?). Theres new and REALLY cool stuff to check out!! Now Livestreaming at: dw20.live/tw Follow me on Twitter: dw20.live/twitter
When Dire told that he was using "Terrafirma something" gadgets to prepare the trains area, i immediately thought of an idea of a whole dire's Terrafirma Craft season :D
Hey dire nice to see your going locomotive, full steam ahead! But on a special note create trains can go through nether portals and supplying coal in locomotive it will speed up faster. On this note it follows a similar system to factorio's signal system incase you decide to have more than one locomotive. You can also change the aesthetic of the wheels with a right click just incase you want to be fancy
It actually only says "Slot: Head", which could just as easily mean armor slot as curio slot. Also, it apparently only works in one _specific_ head curio slot, which the tooltip doesn't mention at all. Really, the miracle is that Dire thought to try swapping slots between the goggles and his crafting remote.
With the boilers, could you make it wider instead of taller so you can keep the passive heat source of the campfire? So more like a big pancake to balance it out
You could make one of the tinkers tools that's like a paxel, forget what tinkers calls it but it mines and breaks wooden things and probably shovels too
These trains make me want to try and make a self replicating train system, go forward 10 chunks deploying miners, lay down tracks to the left and right, go forward 10 chunks in each direction and repeat. I feel something like this is possible, two directions would be much simpler but it would be cool to see the web of trains replicating trains if it was possible.
I am wondering whether it would be possible to build the boiler/tank sideways: instead of a 2x2 base and 4 height - would it be possible to build a 2x4 base an 2 height and thus be able to place more campfires/heaters underneath?
I get wanting to power the pumps with the steam engine, but wouldn't it be infinitely easier on yourself to power them using a small windmill? Or, if you want to get fancy, a water wheel on a creek that's feeding the pool the pumps are using? That way you won't have to mess with the sink.
Isn't the flywheel only decoration since the last Create update? I know my flywheel generator got removed and replaced with a flywheel that I could not find a use for
Rotational energy is mechanical energy, there is no way to store it. You can convert it into electricity and then use said electricity to create more rotational energy, but that's not the same as storing rotational energy. This could be done via the Alternator and Motor from Create Crafts and Additions
But then he'd have to set up a mixer and rotational power for it and wiring a crafter up to wherever he buried his CreateLand network receiver and probably a couple other things, which is actually super _inefficient_ as far as _time_ goes for how rarely he needs andesite alloy, vs. having sufficient andesite and nuggets to be able to just use the simple crafting recipe and move on to the thing he's trying to focus on doing. (See also: "this block would break more easily with an axe instead of a pick but I'd lose enough time fishing out an axe from storage that it's probably faster to just use the pick I have in hand.")
dire, i have a idea for solving enderman problem. Probably they are coming from mob farms. If modpack has an item that blocks the enderman teleportation it will solve. I hope.
