Dire if you're struggling with things like redstone and iron and then you're using the digital miner for it, use the silk touch option. Especially for the redstone. Each redstone ore block is 10 or more dust in an Enrichment Chamber compared to 3-7 dust you get from just breaking it. Edit: Clarification.
If you are worried about waste why don't you make a solar detector? It emits a redstone signal when its daytime and you solar machine works. If it's nighttime then the other machine goes to work
then he could potentially waste fissile fuel, which is a valid concern at this stage, since one doesn't need much plutonium that the nighttime machine produces.
what you could do dire with the day night cycle is use a vanilla daylight sensor instead of the lever that way during the night it auto-toggles to making plutonium instead of polonium. and it would keep switching so its always burning the nuclear waste. Although Idk how much plutonium you'd want since then it would essentially be generating plutonium and polonium in a roughly 50/50 ratio
"In case of emergency i can use the energy cell." Those emergency situations are when you don't have any energy. So why store it in an digital storage that uses energy. Just put it in your backpack. Dire being dire again
Because it's "cleaner", except for all the time he then spends in the behind-the-wall spaces running pipes around. Also probably so he can run from one set of machines to the other without having to maneuver around other projects.
I've always enjoyed watching you play. Whenever I do, it makes me want to play, too. I learn a lot for the automation stuff mostly, esp likethe old rftools programmer, and today's integrated dynamics. it's not my forté, and watching help a lot to figure it out. TYVM sir :).
Dire, i noticed you have the entangled blocks mod and the compact machines mod and thermal, you can "delete" the nuclear waste by entangling a pressurized tube into a compact machine that pipes into a barrel that is being placed and broken, sure the resulting cube would be instant death to set foot into unprotected but hey look on the bright side, the waste is no longer your problem to deal with. I did this in an Oceanblock and it worked great.
I like this! This reminds me of past times in modded Minecraft where you pretty much had to find a broken way to do things. You had to really think inside the cube *wink*
for the reactor, could maybe try to use a daylight sensor and supercircuit maker to make is so that the solar neutron activator and isotopic centrifuge run on the day/night cycle of the game. i.e. during the day, the solar neutron activator runs, and at night the other. At least for if/when you decide to ramp up the burn rate for the reactor in the future.
What happened to putting the Daylight Sensor between the Solar Neutron Activator and the Centrifuge? During daylight the SNA will run and when night hits the centrifuge will run and then it becomes completely hands-off
For the production of polonium and plutonium just set up a daylight sensor so during the day it makes polonium and at night it turns off polonium production and turns on your plutonium.
what you might want to worry about during nighttime is the spent nuclear waste I really don't think it's gonna be a problem, but you didn't check so who knows it might backlog
I think you can run the reactor at full speed? You said that you can't supply enough water, but you can still add more fluid cards with 4 overclockers. All you need to do is adding node overclockers and you are good to go
@Quietust He doesnt need any of this actually. Integrated dynamics fluid transportation is op af. Just attach a fluid interface to the sink and fluid exporter to the reactor port. Then set the transfer rate to 2 billion. It fills the reactor instantly, even at 91 burn rate.
Dire, Why not put a daylight sensor on the toggle for the nuclear waste processing so the Plutonium is on at night when the Solar Activator isn't working an switches back in the morning to making Polonium once Solar starts up again?
I think you need a network port in your compact machine... the constant back and forth and also the fact that you have to go in for some resources seems counterproductive
To be fair, gas upgrades work on such a small number of machines that it's pretty easy to consider it more trouble than it's worth to keep checking if a machine takes them only to be disappointed.
@@slartimus I can see that. But when it makes such a HUGE difference its really something to do. And I found the easiest way to remember which machines use them is to just look and see if it is using a gas as a "fuel", not as an ingredient. Examples: Purification chamber needs oxygen for its fuel bar, so it takes a gas upgrade, but the PRC uses oxygen as an ingredient so it doesn't. Same thing with Sulfuric acid and the chemical dissolution chamber.
why not use a vanilla daylight sensor to generate a redstone signal to switch between the two waste processors at night time, that was the waste is always being used, and you're generating polonium and plutonium?
"in case of emergency I'll have power" *puts it in a system that requires power to be available* I mean I doubt you'll really need it but please but the energy cube in your backpack dire
laser io feels too OP, the laser should not go through solid blocks, will give an use to the laser connectors and would be more fun to figure out ways to set the laser nodes
Then there would need to be a block that you can run the laser through that you can make look like any block. Like say a block with a glass tube in the middle of it. Can't have gaps in a house just to allow a laser to connect since mobs could get in and it would look ugly.
Guys, how do you know how to progress through modpacks without questlines? Just finished Create above and beyond and I'm having hard times with modpacks like this one. Watching 1h+ guides for each mod seems dumb to me.
With these kinds of packs is finding the most powerful stuff and figuring out how to make it. What I do is finds a mod book and start to read through it. Or I have a thing I want like fast movement or mining speed and see what mod offers items like that.
