I think you've overlooked how irritating this would be without flight and in the overworld. This probably would have led you to "automate" the resource collection part, which would have led looking for a way to moving the nodes themselves around. There's ways to do it, some showed briefly on camera as you looked through the book. This stuff would be great as a floor in the magic tower.
The overload shrine is my favorite part of this mod, when placed next to a block/machine it consumes air to tick accelerate that block/machine. Useful for cloches or speeding up any machine you constantly have running. Using an entangler on the tanks works btw so you can have distributed networks of elemental source.
Loving this mod Dire, enjoying seeing you play through this mod. As a long time sub seeing you play with these new mods makes these playthroughs that much more enjoyable!
I really am loving this mod so far. I'm taking a break from MC right now, still on Create: Above and Beyond, but when I'm done there, this is absolutely my next port of call.
i feel like you could probably make some upgrade or functionality for redstone cards, kind of like a comparator, to see if an inventory has like. an amount of items. some or all of a set of items. that sort of thing
I'm glad he is because LaserIO is so much more powerful than EnderIO use to be. Now if we could have some kind of "cover" for the nodes and a "hide laser" button/upgrade I'd be happy.
@@TheDawgMiner it really is, and when he adds cross-mod support like mekanism gas and maybe even botania mana transfer and such, that'llbe superb, facades would be cool but i like the look of the nodes and their lasers so even if there arent any its still awesome
Hello everyone, and welcome to episode……..64 of LaserIO Beta, and todayyyyy, we are going to be doing some stuff and things….. Yep IceMetalPunk, sounds right :)
I read the book, saying that it needed to right click the items into the pedestal. I could've saved so much time and space with LaserIO. Instead I made an overly complicated ComputerCraft setup. I mean, I love ComputerCraft, so I don't mind too much...
I believe dire confused gem and crystal and was reading like "OK, diamond... Shards... Crystal, yeah, that's what we're trying to make..." At least that seems plausible to me, because he has a long history of calling things the wrong name - often the name of other things.
@@SchereSteinSturmgewe Unfortunately he also has a long history of not actually taking in the words he's reading out loud and not attempting to just duplicate 1-for-1 diagrams in mod documentation provided. Also for assuming he knows everything (looking at you MULTIPLE instances of AE meteorite compass pointing to buried meteors "Oh, it's not on the surface or this single block shaft I dug, compass must be bugged").
Responding to this whole thread - I think Dire has ADHD, which can lead to things like that either as a stress response (such as when on camera) or as a masking behavior to deal with frustration.
an easy way to setup autocrafting would be to replace all the chests with ender chests all on one or two of the same color combo and then in your base put a crafter on a matchig chest with extractor of some type to pull the completed mats out ant put in the RS system
Any idea how to get the digital miner to mine the inert crystals? I've tried block and tag filters, only the tag forge:ores/inert_crystal seems to be accepted by the miner, but when I turn it on, it always show zero available. Tried both in the mining dimension, and in the overworld. edit. never mind, I accidentally told the miner the min and max level were the same. After fixing it started mining the inert crystals.
Hey guys! I haven't yet watched many videos in the series, but I am already playing on the pack and I want to know: how do I chunkload? I see no obvious ways in JEI and last Minecraft version I played on was modded 1.12.2 and it had Chicken Chunks. How do I do it here? Besides the chunkloader carts from little logistics
Open your inventory, click on the map in the top left, click claimed chunks in the top left again, and then click on a chunk. That claims the chuck, shift clicking the same chunk after claiming it chuck loads it. Right click to remove
@@vovacat1797 Yes and yes. As long as the server is running. Each player in the server gets a set amount of chunks they can load, which can be configured separately.
Aside from FTBChunks, Mekanism has a chunk loading machine, but it's obviously late game going by the recipe and probably takes a lot of power. I did pull one up in a creative test world to see how it works. It can load up to 25 chunks, 5x5 centered around itself, individually configurable. The force loading limit of FTBChunks can be overwritten in configs. Usually OK for SP, but be wary of loading too many chunks on a server. Know your limits and be respectful.
@@theminingpro I got lucky I had the shaved beef... and had two eggs left. Now it appears I have way too much beef. Yes, 1st world problems shaved beef twice in the same day. Oh what to do!
it IS great for increasing the amout of resources you get As Its ore processing mechanic Is compatible with mekanism meaning you can get more them five times ore processing And shrines mechanic Is cool too IT just takes time to get there but IT IS Worth it when dire was wondering if there Is magical tech mod this mod came to my mind And them it was added in the pack
I'm playing along with this pack and spent hours last night setting up and automating all the infrastructure for this mod only to find out that it doesn't really DO anything all that useful. Maybe if I'd done it earlier in my playthrough I might feel differently but at this point, it doesn't do anything I can't do easier another way.
@@RadanValenta I think it would be very useful in a modpack that didn't have so many simple one block solutions to everything. That's always been the thing with magic mods. They're very stylish and fun to tinker with but ultimately, you spend three hours setting up something that I could've done with one Mekanism machine in five minutes.
