From the ElementalCraft documentation: While extracting elements from a source its getting drained of its elements, once its completely empty, it enters the recovery phase. During this phase, the source special effect will change to small dots spread out, the source is filling its container up, this will take 5 to 10 minutes. Sources with a Source Stabilizer recover elements faster.
ElementalCraft looks cool if you want to use it as the base of your “tech”. But unless I’ve missed something, atm it’s not really offering anything Dire doesn’t already have. This would be a good mod to get into at the beginning of a playthru rather than towards the end.
Dire has been doing this a lot lately, I think he's trying to teach new people how to use these mods, but he's making the rest of us suffer. He should really pick something efficient and use it in a real progression. Go big. Dire used to get an AE system with 32x32 storage cells and fill them up with millions of resources, now dire won't use more than one drive bay and prefers 4k cells. It's not the same dire and it's now the one we subscribed for all those years ago.
@@wolfrig2000 He already has Mekanism, he can't progress much further than this. He could make a bigger storage, a bigger reactor, but what's the point if his series' focus is to show new mods? I hope next modpack won't have Mekanism, so he's forced to use other mods and have a different end point, rather than getting mek and basically ending the series.
@@wolfrig2000 Well, he have a full time job and family with kids these days doesn't he? Doing what takes the fewest hours per week to record, probably, speculating, obviously.
@@wolfrig2000 I've been watching Dire's lets plays for at least 6 years maybe even longer and his lets plays are always aimed at people who are just starting to learn modded Minecraft. But he does do things a little different each time, for me know I just like seeing him come up with different ways to do things and also like seeing him learn new mods along the way.
*Update* While they do take the Eternal tag on the Receptacle it actually changes to the source it contains and loses the Eternal .....BUT Cyclic is in the pack now and that has 2 ways (I only confirmed Diamond) to repair the item...as well as other things, the Powered Diamond or Magma Anvil. I repaired a standard and an improved receptacle.
Just wanted to pop on and say thank you for making laserio. It is an amazing mod that I'm sure took lots of work and is already better than enderio was in my opinion. I have been using it lately is ATM7 and its just so versatile. Just wanted to show some appreciation, thank you for the hard work and great content!!
One thing EnderIO did better was the visuals. Nodes need a facade so you don't have all these disgusting half blocks everywhere. Also the lasers between the nodes should only show while holding the wrench. Maybe have a shift click with the wrench to toggle if you always see the lasers. I have been using LaserIO a LOT and can confidently say I hate the visuals. Everything but the wrench and card holder needs redesigned. Especially the nodes... 10/10 for use but 1/10 for visuals.
@@DemonicTheAngel lol I'm not at all a good builder so I haven't even paid attention to that. Just been thinking "cool, there's lasers" but you have a valid point, def agree facades would be a great improvement. The idea for the lasers is neat too, kinda like xnet?
Heavy thaumcraft vibes from this mod. Element nodes that run dry but eventually recharge... I guess you might be able to break them permanently if you're not careful Edit: one minute after I said that... Welp
Did it stop at 460k because it's raining/storming in overworld? The mining dimension looks dark when it stopped recharging, doesn't that usually mean it's raining? Does that affect diurnal/nocturnal?
Only time I ever tried Elemental Craft was... I forget the mod pack, but I just had a mob farm that I was using the shards. Auto-turned them into the big ones and had things keeping the them pumping into the things to drain em.
Also WARNING 1.80 pack update breaks create builds. Fans no longer can be used to power builds and the flywheel generator has been removed and replaced by a flywheel (that I haven't discovered what they are for). As an added bonus the builds made that use glue will be broken as the glue is gone after updating.....eg glue to connect chests etc needs to be re-applied
I tried to reapply the glue on my wheat-farm harvesting arm and it grabbed a portion of the ground and now slides the whole field around. Funny and annoying.
@@DoctorKarul I had the same on my top level of my farm....I forgot to spin the AOE back to 1 on a chassis block I replaced. It was that memorable I screen shot it.
@@truggles120 I did see that but decided on windmills as I have 1 set up in the nether to replace and was not confident it would work.... water in nether .... it is in a tank so maybe it does but ..¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I went with a consistent solution.
i got a question we just updated our server to 1.8.0 on the modpack and now all the create encased fans arent working anymore is that a bug? and the furnace generator is missing from the modpack aswell
Improved one drained it fast When they fade down they "rest" for a while Usually I ended up with row of sources feeding into their own tanks and piped from them for use :) Ps: but haven't played the 1.18 version yet 😁
Usually to switch between insert and extract mode so he could move the elements from or to their storage container (e.g. 0:08). But when you click a side of a pipe it cycles between insert, extract (has a slightly larger connector with a green band) and disconnected so it looks like he's just reconnecting pipes.
Could you use Quantum entangled blocks to leave the storage jars where they are attached to the nodes and then pipe out of the entangled block at the place where you have your elemental alters?

@@rocksfire4390 You can repair the improved version with that Fireite stuff, making it technically cheaper if you're planning on using it more than the 20 times. Only marginally tbh. (There also might be other cheaty ways to "repair" them.. haven't tested with other mods)
A new idea for a company name: Uaway. It's a people and small cargo transport company. Like @Biffa you have your own little sayings, "you away" being one of them.

In perl, 0, "0", "" and undef are all false; everything else is true. In Pascal, 0 is false and since not(0) in two's complement is -1, converting true to a number results in -1; though any non-zero value is considered true.
