I have same TV. It was getting of randomly first day after 1 hours, next day after 30 minutes and next day in 5 minutes. I checked all outputs 15.5V, 12V, 5V all were fine before and also after problems persist. Then i checked the same board as your one it was having corrosion on multiple locations by atmospheric reaction on copper. I have done cleaning and now working up to 30 minutes. More I will check later if again do problem.
Cool i think ill try somthing like this w. This polaraoid tv i have ( check the cap itors and board for faults w. same on/ off by itself problem when plugged in. Ive got nothing else to lose other than a already broken tv wasting space for months on end.
Great video and thumbs up. I have this SHARP and when I power it on, I see half the panel light up then go off. I have taken it apart and tested ALL the LED strips and they check out. I have stb voltage as well as 12 vts. I am puzzled with this problem. Might it be the PS causing this, or is the problem coming from the main board, and how would I separate the two boards when I need them connected to fire up the lights? Appreciate the assistance.
So I've had this issue on two separate TV's. The problem was not the capacitor and the problem will come up again. Once you unplug the TV's power for a little while the problem disappears temporarily but it comes back. The real issue is the physical buttons on the TV. They seem to malfunction randomly. Just unplug their connector from the motherboard and the issue is fixed for ever for free. Best of luck to you all.
@@sukisuki6753 See if the connector for the buttons is the same as for the remote receiver. If so I would cut just the wire from the button on the TV. (Do that at your own risk)
I got 60pn6550-ua turns of at arround 30 min room temperature than turns back on by it self in like 9 min and it happens over and over different timing. My main board has 1 capacitor like that. Ill try to change it if i find a good substitute in another broken tv
hi all...i got the same problem and same tv...the problem is the heat...if you loos the screws (as much as need) the hit will get out and wont turn off the tv...hoop it helped ..love:)
Your solution sort of helped me. I actually just turned the TV off for a while ( had to unplug it from the wall because using the power button didn't work as it came on again). I let it cool down and turned it back on....fixed! Thanks! I wasn't about to start unscrewing things : - )
Might be right. If capacitors are old, as chips in the tv heat up, air temperature increases and liquid electrolite from capacitors turns to vapor. This decreases capacitor capacity, which makes circuit turn off, probably unstable voltage. If hot air can escape, it will work longer or may work ok. This indicates a design problem, they should have put fan or metal heatsink on the back, or heatsink to the metal frame, but didn't and this kills the tv slowly, by running components at high temps.
To discharge, simply unplug the device and hold down the power button for 5-10 seconds. It is better than shorting out an electronics circuit. Any time the device is plugged in, do the same thing before working on it again.
Bro I have a problem also with my tv it turn off and on I did everything with it nothing is working I even unplug the power cord but nothing works and it does not even connect to wifi as well and it has gotten slow also I can't scroll to other apps plz if you can help me with this problem
try search by your TV model number. try also different language /keywords to search in youtube. also forum electronic discussion. solution may different for each brands and model.
