Stephen Lett is the human version of a tension headache.

There are active Jehovah's Witnesses like me who have decided to be disobedient and watch videos like yours. What they say about apostates isn't true. I'm not the only one viewing and listening to exjw material.

That should be the first thing a JW says after knocking on someone’s door: “Hello, would you like to become a sheep?”

I can confirm that his words that apostates would not provide good "shepherding" visits are lies because I have received support from several apostates that far surpassed the support I got from JW elders. The support I have gotten from apostate videos, Facebook groups and individual ex JW has been so beneficial.

When I was studying with JWs and it got to the 1914 part. I disagreed. Even laughed at how they got their beliefs and dates. I asked multiple questions and my answer was, we're getting off track, or your just being difficult, or we can stop the study if you aren't ready.. Seriously? This whole "apostate" thing is a joke. I've never felt closer to God and his son. Just because I don't buy their bullshit does not mean I don't love God or/and his son Jesus. I cant believe these people actually believe this rubbish. Governing body? 😅😅😅

Great video Wally. Growing up you heard about apostates once in a blue moon. I was almost a high school graduate before I even heard the term. Now you damn near will hear them talk about apostates every meeting. They are in damage control mode and their crazy is coming out really hard. I'm so sick of their teachings as of late.

When I was hospitalized for a stress-related autoimmune disease several years ago and faced death, none of the Witnesses in my congregation visited me nor checked up on me, and I was then an active unbaptized publisher, even whilst having been undiagnosed at the time and barely able to stand at someone's door for longer than a minute. But when an elder's wife got sick, the whole congregation bent over backwards to get her things she needed. Hypocrisy at its finest.

Why do they call this religion “The Truth”… it should be called “The Adjustment”

They really covered all the bases in this one: 1. Be an obedient sheep; independent, critical thinkers are evil 2. We most definitely [redacted] hide pdf files 3. We force people to die of blood loss and celebrate when it happens to children, but if that makes us look bad then it was someone else's fault 4. I've never been a JW but I am completely ENAMORED with every video that you and Altworldy make. I LOVE horror movies regarding cults (Midsommar, The Endless, The Invitation, etc) and your videos are like a combination horror/comedy/documentary about one of the sneakiest cults of all. I don't agree with you about whether or not there is an Almighty God. I believe in God and Jesus Christ. But you ARE spot on in your observations about the WTBTS. But let me say that even IF Stephen Lett did actually say something that made sense & I knew was biblically sound, I still wouldn't believe anything that came out of his mouth for the simple fact that ANYBODY who is trying to elevate themselves to God and says "I'm Jesus' brother and equal to Jesus and you're not", obviously has questionable and devious motives. And there is no way, in my eyes, that Jesus would want the world to follow a bunch of blasphemous heretichs. I'm sure you'll agree w/me. Your videos are entertaining and extremely insightful.

Best time I ever had at the hall was when I was disfellowshipped and working on being reinstated. I could go into the hall and not be deluged by fakeness and trivial conversations. I sat there and observed, I observed the disconnection, the boredom, the "clicks" amongst the ministerial servants and elders, the cackling of the busy bodies and gossiping people. Now, I will say there was one man, he was gentle of voice and spirit and showed support for everyone in the congregation and I saw him many times look at these "clicks" and seem sad.. I have respect for this man to this day!

According to the definition of apostate many present JWs are apostates. But Watchtower gives their own definition, demonizing or using his word 'counterfeiting

To add on about what you said about Junius, they also left the prophetess Huldah out of the Josiah movie and she played a big part in the people under Josiahs rule coming back to worship Yahweh properly. It might seem like a coincidence but then they also left her out of the Prophets and Kings Chart in the back of the NWT bible. Whenever I was still in, I had mentioned to some sisters the Julia E Smith bible and how cool it was that she was the first woman to fully translate the bible literally and they were so quiet and looked at me like I had said something wrong. That Junius point, is spot on about having things a certain way to support how they think it should be, not how the bible has it. Women were prophetesses and apostles.

It continues to amaze me how the GB keeps harping on about apostates as much as they do. Anyone with any sense is going to at least want to know what is being said by apostates when it's constantly being referred to and that's exactly what's happening judging from the amount of witnesses that are stumbling upon the mounds of info that's been kept from them. I also very very much appreciated the book by Don Cameron “Captives Of A Concept” within explains two core misapplied, out of context, teachings of the scripture there about the “faithful and discreet slave” Matthew 24:45-47 and its relevance that he specified in the year 1919, claiming THEY are that “faithful witness”, clearly🙃well what exactly were they teaching in 1919??!! This book examines that point and secondly the scripture they rip words from some parable and twist and misapply out of context on the “light getting brighter”(Proverbs 4:18), so as to be able to now change doctrine and even flip flop on the doctrine as years go by, gives them a total free pass to change anything at anytime! Bonkers! It’s so clear concise and looks at the foundation of these assumptions, of which the whole religion is built upon. And once you uncover that the assumptions they always present us with, they are built upon a plethora of embarrassing guesses, false predictions, lies..it all crumbles. I highly recommend this book. Fairly quick read. Presents clearly and simply an uncovering of a convoluted twisted reasoning manipulative piles of lies…that continue to twist and contort by the way… Unbelievable!! Video!! YOU DO A GREAT GREAT GREAT JOB OF LOGICALLY DISSECTING AND EXAMINING THIS PROPAGANDA, THANK YOU!!!!

OMG when you said Apostacat I insistently had a throwback memory to some of the first ex-jw videos I ever watched when I was first waking up almost 14-15 years ago now. There was an ex-jw activist known as AnonDude he was awesome and he called his cat Apostacat. I don't know how many of his videos are still around but I feel like you would really appreciate his perspective, smart just like you! AnonDude was around about the same time as xjw Fairy Tail also another activist from that time also worth a watch. I feel like back then there was a palpable sadness about them, they must have felt alone because this was all so new... We've come a long way and I'm grateful to all of you!

I was brought up as a jw. A mate at school told me he would knock back on his side of the door, once he looked through the peephole and saw it was the witnesses. I remember laughing and feeling a bit guilty at the same time.
