If she Wanted to Abort, No Provider would Take the Case... HOWEVER, does that make an Abortion ILLEGAL at that Late Gestational Age? NO. It Does NOT... (pretty certain that I'm correct there too...) (is it Too Early to offer the POV that *No Chargeable CRIME was committed* that day?) REGARDLESS, The STATE has *No CASE* . Nothing they can *Bring to Court & Convict with* . (sorry, WitchHunters...) Like the DNA shade for the Ted Bunny lookalike Koh-burger 😂 IMO what the super gran does is her excluding her own culpability by faking her lack of prior knowledge. Trying to HIDE the baby is enough for me. She knew exactly what she was doing. Very wrong and should be held responsible whether the baby was breathing or not. Agreed. The hospital might be at fault for giving her wrong medication (which may or may not potentially cause the death and we will see if they are find liable on that one) but this 19old is definitely at fault for trying to cover up the blood, hiding the baby (even if its dead isn’t she responsible for mishandling the corpse??) and lying all the way through. At 19 if the baby wasn't breathing she would know to do CPR while pressing the emergency button in the bathroom or screaming for help while carrying the baby to the corridor. This was so obviously plain cold hearted murder. No one can argue otherwise. Also she knew she was in labour and should've told the nurse that. The baby would be alive. Could've been adopted into a loving home not murdered and concealed in two liners shoved in the trash can. Human flotsam she is and Skylar Neeson who got away with filicide/infanticide.

Sorry but her behavior is way more consistent with a victim of persistent narcissistic abuse than a criminal mindset. It's absolutely horrible what she did, but it's insane to ignore the overwhelming emotional and mental stress she was in. There is research on post natal infanticide. It happens when the mother is under overwhelming stress and instinct kicks in for self-preservation. It's not uncommon in nature. Going to prom despite her situation indicates that she is very good at compartmentalization, which victims of narcissistic abuse commonly are.

And Law Enforcement told her mother to stop asking questions that Alexee’s health was the top priority! I don’t know how her family can go after LE and the hospital staff. They did everything they could to make sure her daughter was OK! They were all sensitive to her and they handled it very professionally, given the circumstances. This is what happens when the child does no wrong and it’s everyone else’s fault. Apparently this mother daughter duo is the perfect example of what NOT to do! Hold your children RESPONSIBLE and ACCOUNTABLE for their actions so they’re aware of the consequences that comes from bad choices! Every child should know this!! I understand wanting to protect your child, I do… BUT this is monstrous! Going after the very ones who the MOTHER and Alexee told that there’s NO POSSIBILITY of PREGNANCY because she’s a VIRGIN, and that she’s into gymnastics and sports and that she has trouble with her hips… that’s what they kept telling hospital staff! Doctors and nurses believe what their patients tell them! She has a history of back pain so I understand why they gave her the pain meds… especially if her mother was insistent. None of the meds were enough to harm the baby. Babies are born completely addicted to heroin, fentanyl, opiates, and many other substances! They LIVE!

Exactly. 💯🎯 The justice system must now serve as the voice of the innocent child whose life was abruptly ended by his callous, selfish mother. 😢 Alexee should’ve asked for help, but chose to bag & bury her full-term son within the trash can, hiding her crime as best she could. That’s not simply shock…that’s a premeditated evil act. Some naive people have difficulty fathoming such darkness residing in the heart & mind of an innocent looking young woman, but it absolutely can and does - as history & psychiatry have previously demonstrated. 💔 It’s quite likely, Alexee’s presence of mind is partially a result of being raised and coddled by a narcissistic, controlling mother. @@Smoothjaswi - I understand that and I agree. But I am saying,. once they diuscovered the deceased baby...it was potentially a homicide. They are obligated to call police, which they did. Just like if I show up with a gunshot wound--they must call police. That's what I meant. It's not like it was all routine and the nurse just played Matlock and called cops. They found a dead baby in the toilet. And she put it there and did not say a word about it. Intent is a foregone conclusion here--and I feel all parties were justified--especially the medical professionals--for the reasons I stated.

It’s bad enough she put those employees in a horrible situation by lying but to file a lawsuit after a very expensive ER/air visit to keep her from bleeding to death after she threw her baby in the garbage is SICKENING! They told her the detectives are on their way and they'll need to take her statement. They had to wait until after she was transferred to further medical help and then discharged to get her statement because she refused to talk to them. When she did, she had a lawyer.

They were trying to avoid saying she was under arrest, they were totally skirting the issue. They kept on saying detained. I think they probably did it on purpose. Please let's not forget about the father of the child and his mother. They sat there looking over their shoulder at the detective talking to Alexi's mother like they were eavesdropping on a conversation that did not involve them. There is no way in hell this young man did not know. Think about it for a minute no one got closer to her than he did physically. These two people had no feelings whatsoever toward that baby you would think he would have at least wanted to see it. I think he was actually relieved that he wasn't going to have to deal with Alexis's mother for the next 18 years. Should he also be charged because something's very wrong here.

Thankfully this isn't something they encounter often but also unfortunately because of that maybe the proper process wasn't followed. In the heat of the moment I'm sure everyone thought they were doing the right thing. In some body cam footage I saw one of the officers asked for Alexee's demographic info and you could hear the charge nurse making sure that HIPAA wasn't broken when that info was given to the officer. I also can't wait until the digital evidence comes out in this case. There's no way that she didn't at least suspect she was pregnant and even IF she didn't discuss this with her BF or her friends I'm betting she at least did some google searches....

It was a prison. She blew a .27 and at that time I would have told you she was perfectly sober. She was put on paid leave for four plus months and she quit when we called her into fire her. I sat with her while the warden gave her reasonable suspicion test. The warden gave her probably 10 chances to admit she was drunk and she denied. The warden told her that she performed the reasonable suspicion test and she flunked and that she would have to be drug tested and she still denied it. The warden told her that if she comes up drunk that it is immediate termination that they did not terminate her immediately. Oh, she had checked into a rehab six months before that and only stayed a week or two. Had she admitted she was drunk we would have had to allowed her to go to treatment.

As a nurse, when I was taught about HIPAA, we were always told to not only not discuss patient information in the hallways/elevators, it was also our responsibility to make sure documents and protected information was not left out at the nurses’ station because anyone could see it. The hallways are not private in that sense. As for the argument of filming in the hallway, wouldn’t it probably bc considered a limited access area where you wouldn’t be allowed to film personally (but security is separate of course)? I am an RN who worked in a busy ED. The ER hallway is definitely more private than a public sidewalk. Usually only 1 or 2 people are allowed to be with a patient. They a not allowed to loiter in the hallway. If u don’t have an authorized reason to be in the ED hallway, u r asked to leave. No ONE is allowed to film without special authorization. The general public is not allowed in the ED HALLWAY AT ANYTIME unless they are with someone who is a patient. Yes, when we get busy, patients themself are on gurnies in the hall. As nurses, we must be very careful to discuss their medical history or situation loudly enough for anyone else to hear due to HIPPA. Great job Peter Also, if she is denying pregnancy, I doubt that she would even know if the baby was breathing. The airway needs to be cleared sometime for the to start breathing. Many newborns just need a little help to start breathing and then they are just fine. Babies can be breathing so shallow that you have to be trained to know what to do. My point is her statement ,IT wasn’t breathing’. There is no doubt in my mind that she did NOT have the ability to know whether this baby was breathing or not. Everyone is saying stillborn. I can’t tell you how many babies I have seen born and not breath. Most just need their airway suctioned, oxygen, and then maybe a little time with the ambu bag and then they breath on their own just fine. I doubt this baby was stillborn- dead at birth.

the autopsy says the baby was born alive & that he was killed by homicide by entrapment

I think that the digital forensics is what will be the strongest evidence: any searches that she did regarding pregnancy or solo birthing, any statements that she made to classmates (rumors that she told people she was looking at baby names).

That is icing on top to show intent. Regardless she put a baby in a trash can and it died. And the defense isn’t arguing temporary insanity like they probably should to try and help her.

What gets me is that alexi’s mom, her boyfriend and her boyfriends parents had no real reaction to the fact their child and their grandchild was deceased!! I think her mom was more concerned that her and alexi would look bad! I also found this about resuscitation efforts and air in the babies lungs and intestinal tract! It also talks about how a stillborn is not born with air in the lungs and the intestinal tract! stillborn infants had no gas in the lungs or gastrointestinal tract on plain film immediately after birth; however, after artificial respiration with a mask some infants showed air in the lungs and or gastrointestinal tract.

For an 18 yr old and smart enough to be able to go to college, she sure as hell know she's pregnant. Her bad mother is the reason she had to hide and can't be honest about the truth. Terrible that common sense doesn't have a place in this case. It is injustice for the baby and unfortunate for the hospital staff to be vilified for doing their job. The only bad person here is the mother.

To answer re: “Was the baby even alive?” The medical examiner/coroner has already noted oxygenated blood in the heart, which means the baby took at least a (few) breath(s). There was also noted morphine in the blood located in the baby’s heart, again, meaning there was circulation, thus, breathing, even if minimally.

It doesn’t matter if baby breathing or not - you don’t put a baby in the trash (covering HIM up (not it) with plastic. She was in the hospital and had help right there. Guilty in my mind based on that alone…. I hope she spends many years in prison reflecting on her actions. She clearly has no sense of reality.

She didn’t think anyone would be able to tell that the baby was born alive IF they found him . My question is what or who was she so afraid of that she would do that to her own newborn baby . also if the baby wasn’t found she would have left that hospital and got on with her life as if nothing happened ??

@taramcgavan7654 even worse because she WAS caught and she has obviously has no shame whatsoever therefore no conscience and that tells me a lot about her.

The baby was found and she still went on with life like nothing ever happened. Prom and she wanted to walk across the stage at graduation and was going to be allowed to until students began to protest it and plan to boycott it. Her actions before, during and after are all very troubling and tells you a lot.

From my understanding, she had to be transferred to another facility for care. Had she left the hospital, or birthed elsewhere(home, someplace in the community), she would have likely developed an infection for retained products of conception and became septic. So, contrary to comments saying she'd go to prom ...not likely. 🤦🏻‍♀️ I agree as well, regarding fear. She was afraid. Does not make her choice - this WAS a choice - ok. This all runs deeper. I'm looking forward to expert witnesses in this case, in particular those specializing in obstetrics and neonatal care.
