Jose, I have been watching your videos since early 2023. My wife and I both turned 50 in late 2023 and are planning on retiring in Cancun in 2028. We already own a house in Cancun (wife Mexican National) mortgage free. My wife left Mexico as a child, so she really doesn’t know how the system works in Mexico. We are trying our best to educate our selves before retiring in Mexico. Keep up the good work on your videos.🙏

Move to a third world country… yes that’s so much better 🤦🏻‍♀️ If you can get on RU-vid and talk incessantly, no worries just make yourself a better life! “Before it’s too late”. First ask yourself why so many Mexicans are crossing rivers etc to get to America? Why they are willing to risk their lives to do so?

The new American dream is living in Mexico. I can't wait to be down there. I have a list of places to visit before landing on a home base. My husband loves the Yucatan but it's too hot for me. I told him we could live there if it was on the water, OR he gets me a second home in the mountains for the summertime. I love Guanajuato but it's not hot enough for him

Sure if you can get it now through a consulate you should, but if you can't there is nothing to worry about you can just get it down the line through the RNE Program, and no it will not be expiring it is just an extension of an already existing law to help regularize individuals who live in Mexico who can not obtain residency through traditional means. You can find out more about the program and its history here in this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-XH9lxrAehSU.html btw Congratulations on your Permanent Residency!

Hola Jose, I was in Merida in November, we stayed in Chuburna, Merida was very nice especially el Paseo de Montejo. I was impressed that I didn't see any squeege people or many panhandlers on the corners like you see in Guadalajara. I understand that sometimes we have to do things like that to survive till something better comes along. I live in México part of the year the US has gotten to be a woke mess with that corrupt, senile old man that we have as president. What a joke our country has become we are the biggest banana republic. Thanks for your great videos. Yucatan is doing good because you all are smart because you voted and have a PAN governor and mayor in Merida.

I've actually covered that in my past videos and provide tons of information on what it looks like. You can check out this video to see what you can get in that price range for rent ru-vid.comnVkmCDIKfTA?feature=share and as for Food the reality is that it all depends on you and what kind of luxuries you want and where you shop. Again I have made videos on this topic as well. But basically it boils down to if you shop and live like the locals you can live on 1,000 if you live like an expat you might need closer to 3,000 a month. You can find more context by watching this video ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-dOIZUUG6-N8.html

I'm a RU-vidr. I thought it was pretty obvious 😅 But when I first moved to Mexico I wasn't making any money off RU-vid so my income was from online gigs. I used to edit videos for a living and do all kinds of odd jobs "Online and Offline" to earn enough money each month. These days I make enough from RU-vid and from consulting and all the other revenue streams I have set up for myself throughout the years of grinding away at this. This life is not for everyone. I barely make enough most months. But in all honestly I wouldn't have it any other way. I am the happiest and the most Free I have ever been. Hard work, sacrifice, and dedication have put me in the position I am in today. Hope this helps answer your question!

I enjoy your content. I spent 2 mo. In puebla. I went back to Pennsylvania. Consulate is in Philly 4 hour drive. Can't even get a meeting to apply for residency when I go back to Mexico. Thank you for your kind words. Sorry to hear about the consulate. At this point it is recommended that you get your residency through the RNE program due to the increased difficulty at the consulates these days. People worried about speaking Spanish ha ha. How do you communicate with your landscape gardener in Orange county? In your home country how many people have a job, a car, a house and they barely speak English at all? When I go to Starbucks I order an “Iced Americano Grande” it’s in Spanish anyways so how easy is that?
@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels 7 месяцев назад
Well not everyone lives in Orange county but yeah I get what you are saying. It only really just takes a bit of effort on ones part and a good attitude. I know plenty of people out here that dont speak any Spanish but are always with a smile and a good attitude and they get things done out here in Mexico. Same as my mom in the US who has never even learned to speak English and has been there over 50 years. Thanks for sharing!

@JoseArteagaTravels
@JoseArteagaTravels 7 месяцев назад
I highly suggest you don't live out of your car for too many reasons to mention. I rent a 2 bedroom home for around 300 USD a month. I'm sure you can find something just as affordable. No one should live out of their car unless they have no other choice. You deserve better and can at the very least afford a roof over your head for as little as 100-150 USD a month in Most parts of Mexico.
