Louis Can't Be Trusted!/ Interview with the Vampire s2 ep3/ Reaction, Rant, & Review 

Raglan James is indeed a book character not a show creation... A lot of people didn't think that he would be introduced as soon as he has been ...but here he is now, I suppose. Lmao

I think you missed quite a bit from that actual scene. At the bar/club... First, Armand has already known what REALLY happened, this entire time. He didn't need Louis to tell him, he didn't need anyone to tell him. He's Armand. Neither of them are strong enough to prevent him from accessing literally anything from their minds. BOTH of their minds. And Louis told him that he alone did it, not Claudia. It's useless to even try because again Armand already knows, and has none since the moment he first saw them. And Louis, unfortunately is not mentally stable enough for any of this. He's here, because of Claudia. Sadly, mental illness is not a controllable thing. He can't help that he's soo unstable, he's genuinely trying his best to keep it together. And still trying to protect her as much as he can, while still supporting her in her pursuit of happiness. Literally at the detriment to himself. I don't think there's anything wrong with him allowing Armand to pursue him, just like everyone else he deserves a companion. It's just unfortunately he's attracted to red flags, big time. And he's attracted to dangerous, powerful men. What you're attracted to can't always be helped. Unfortunately, Armand is so much worse then Lestat. And Louis is crawling right into the mouth of a lion, because oh how those teeth sparkle 😅🤦🏽‍♀🤷🏽‍♀ Also, don't believe anything Armand says. He's writing self indulgent fanfiction, right in front of all our faces. -- Edit: I wanted to add this here instead of making a whole 2nd comment, I just want to say thankyou. I'm sorry happy and relieved that you're picking up on so many little things that ALOT of people are just disregarding and ignoring or overlooking. Actually stopping to ask if part of the reason Armand is even interested in Louis, is because of Lestat. Because that's a HUGE yes, but no spoilers. When you said "that's right Lou, give him a little nookie for your life" I almost shouted 🤣 So many people didn't even catch that. I'm soo happy you did! So many also completely missed that, down in the sewer Armand essentially told Louis he's not free to leave the city. Even though he's not a member of Armands coven. He's basically using Louis' unstable-ness equals the risk of discovery, to claim he can't actually 'allow' him to leave. Because as a coven master, he can't subject another coven master in another country to that kind of "risk". So yeah, of course it's not the ONLY reason, but it's a very real reason why he let Armand kiss him and invited him in. Self preservation... I think I commented it somewhere else too, but it's essentially 'give the tyrant king something he can't find anywhere else, as to win favor for you and yours. Even for just a little while longer' 👌🏽And oh my gawd! I would bow to you if I could, that first thing you said about the snippet of the "you and me" scene from the preview of the next episode. Absolute gold! Because yes it was 'you and me' until it was her and the coven. And then yes she DID make her bed, so yes she SHOULD be the one to lie in it. Just 🙌🏽 Thankyou so much for being able to be objective about these characters even though you are a Claudia fan. I just want to say, fans like you or even just viewers (just in case you don't consider yourself a "fan"), are few and far between these days.

the sound effect you added when lestat crashed into that wall. 🤣😭😂 and PREACH about Claudia! I feel SO bad for my daughter. IMO I bet there's a wee little bit of Armand that's either jealous or admires louis for being lestat's main bae, so he's like DANG, if lestat loves HIM, he MUST be bomb.

The little bit of information they left out in this episode when Lestat comes down to the coven lair with a cross is that the vampires themselves also believed in the superstitions regarding religious symbols repelling vampires. They literally had their jaws on the floor when Lestat walked into churches without burning and it's also referenced in the IWTV movie when Louis explains to Daniel that he actually enjoys looking at crosses or something like that. But Armand knew all along that these weren't real, but I'm still confused as to whether or not he upheld them soley for the sake of keeping the coven in check or if he was trying to punish himself too for being a vampire. In the books Armand was raised extremely religious so being an acceptor of the Dark Gift would go against everything he believes in

"You’re leaking, Lou!" 😂😂 Shalayaaaaa, I'm so glad you're reacting to S2! Your S1 reactions are some if my absolute faves. I'm wondering, have you seen The Newsreader? Sam is soooo good in that. Completely different from Lestat. I thought he was an amazing actor after watching S1 of Interview but then I saw him in The Newsreader and went, "Oh, he's an ACTOR actor!" So good.

Claudia's face at the end is so hearbreaking... This may be a minor detail but I don't think Claudia and Louis forgot to close their door when Armand walked in. No way. It just makes his persona that much more lurky and shows how he can remain in the shadows without anyone noticing him (kinda like an experienced hunter). Louis' inabilty to keep it together under pressure makes me so mad because it always causes more chaos and then other characters have to bear the responsibility for his mistakes. Don't get me wrong, I really love the grey portrait we're getting for each character and Louis being an objectively flawed but sympathetic persom makes him more endearing for me, which is why I can see Lestat and Armand falling for him because he's so good at pulling you in (maybe unintentionally).

I think Tom Cruise did a great job as Lestat. But yeah Sam Reid IS Lestat! He's so mesmerizing and magnetic. He steals the scene everytime he's on camera. It takes a special actor to convincingly play a dynamic role like Lestat. I read the books and even I'm wondering wtf is up with this Louis. He's definitely not well somethings going on. Maybe Lestat is somehow sending his energy to Louis and louis is just feeding off of it.

raglan james is BAD NEWS BEARS. the main villain of Tale of the Body Thief--the weirdest wtf book in the series, IMO. magnus wasn't part of any coven in the books; he was always rogue--AMC's doing their own thing there.
