Thanks for the informative video! Will it be possible to do exposure blending with exposure bracketed RAW images in the final version? For example, blending a sky with a foreground.
I haven’t seen that mentioned but hopefully. I use Aurora HDR by Skylum for my bracketed photos. It does a really good job and uses a lot of the same AI tools that are in the Luminar products.
Thanks for the demo. I think there is an erase mask that would have replaced the cables in the water tower. The Relight tool in Neo is most interesting to me. I’m new to Luminar (I have AI and pre-ordered Neo). What seems missing is Templates and the promised layers (I don’t think they’re in these pre-release builds). It’s not a perfect tool, but still pretty impressive! Looking forward to learning more!
You’re right. Templates and layers will definitely be added into the final product. I didn’t cover it in the video because I think it will be a nonissue in the end, but there are several glitches in this beta version. Really unstable and would crash randomly. Also if you make an adjustment with one tool, click out of that tool to another one, and come back to that tool, it will keep the adjustment you made, but it resets the tool to zero like you hadn’t used it yet. Then if you use it again it adds another adjustment on top of the first one. But I know they’ll iron all that out before releasing the real thing.
I recently bought luminar ai with the humble bundle. This Neo has not convinced me yet because I am not that much of using fake skies and cannot remember having powerlines on my photos. I would only use it for portraits and for that Luminar ai is already great in enhancing portraits. Only thing that could be great is faster loading
Yeah. It did a little. It had a hard time differentiating between the blue sky and the blue water tower. There’s a slider that adjusts the edges of the sky mask that would have fixed that, but when I did that, it messed up the masking around the trees. Definitely some limitations there, but once they add the layer options into the final program, you could have one mask for the tower and another for the trees. This beta version still has some quirks they need to work out.
