Mac DeMarco is a singer songwriter based out of Duncan, Canada. Mac blew up after the release of his debut studio album ‘2’, after his hit success Mac would release commercial successes such as ‘Salad Days’ and ‘Another One’ before on the 5th of May 2017 he would release his most critically acclaimed album ‘This Old Dog’. This Old Dog is story of Mac DeMarco growing up, as he ages and participates in more outlandish activities, he starts seeing his addict and abusive father within himself. The album is not only a journey through Mac’s uncomfortableness as he sees his father’s characteristics emerge in himself but also a journey through the process of aging and what grief and tragedy can come from it.
