Ziti (macaroni) with sauce with chops
ingredients for 4 people
4 beef chops (steaks)
400 grams tomato
400 grams of ziti or macaroni
salt pepper oil
garlic onion
parmesan parsley
one tablespoon tomato paste
Choose 4 large, tender slices of beef.
In the center put some parsley, salt, pepper, garlic, cheese.
Roll up and stop everything with three toothpicks.
In a high pot olive oil, and a chopped onion.
Fry the onion, add the chops (or rolls) and cook for 5 minutes, sprinkle about half a glass with white wine, cook the wine until it is almost dry.
Add 400 grams of good quality, rather thick tomato sauce. add a spoonful of tomato paste. add a glass of water, salt, pepper, chilli and cook for 2 hours over low heat.
For this sauce we use a traditional pasta called ZITI which are like long, smooth macaroni that break, but you can use the pasta you prefer.
Cook the pasta and season it with plenty of sauce.
Serve in a deep dish, with sauce and cheese with our beautiful magical chop on top.
