8:12 that's not a satellite, that's the Shenzhou crewed spacecraft. It's essentially an enlarged copy of the Soviet Soyus Spacecraft. It looks like that because In 1995, China signed a deal with Russia to share some of their Spacecraft technology.
14:50~ 15:11~ There were six space shuttle orbiters: _Enterprise_ , the first orbiter built, and was mainly used as a test vehicle. _Columbia_ , the first operational orbiter built, but disintegrated when returning to Earth in 2003.(BTW no lie, my little brother was born on the exact same day it happened) _Challenger_ , the second operational orbiter built, but was destroyed when lifting off into space in 1986. _Discovery_ , the third operational orbiter built, and the first operational orbiter to be retired. _Atlantis_ , the fourth operational orbiter built, and the orbiter that performed the final space shuttle mission in 2011. _Endeavour_ , the fifth and final operational orbiter built, as a replacement to the _Challenger_ after it was destroyed.
I can't be the only one who thinks a space explorer combiner team would be completely on-brand for the Autobots. I have a few ideas for rival/counterpart teams for the Decepticons too.
Mangmotion did an amazing stop motion of the set about a year ago. That and Ben's review convinced me to order this set from sirtoys. Absolutely no regerts...
The dots on the combined head are eyes, the grey visor is the chin, and the gap between the grey visor and the blue head is the mouth. Now that you’ve seen it, you can’t unsee it.
Possible names for these guys: Sattelite dish:Star wave Heavy rocket:comet racer Space shuttle: skyblast Sattelite:astroscope Rover:moonroad Combined form:Astronomus
This set is so sick! 😃 I love the different tricks the individual components have for their transformations and the figures look great in my opinion, both individually and combined. I'd love for Hasbro to maybe use this as a base for a team of Astrobots, which I'm kinda surprised we haven't gotten before.
The first shuttle launch was in April of 1981, Columbia. The final launch was STS-135 in July 2011, Atlantis. Two shuttles were lost during the program; Challenger during liftoff and Columbia during re-entry. There were two shuttles that were not space-worthy: Pathfinder, which is/was a wood and steel 1:1 mock-up designed to test the viability of transportation atop a jet and Enterprise, which was designed to test the shuttles atmospheric flight capabilities. Pathfinder still exists…somewhat. It is currently disassembled in Alabama’s Space & Rocket Center awaiting refurbishment. Enterprise is currently in Nee York on display.
I am absolutely living for these sets of late, they are wonderful and interesting. As a long time transformer fan I have to say I approve this message :)
I got this set last year and love it. The combined mode is clearly the weakest, but I use them as individual figures. It's so cool that there are transforming figures that become real world space vehicles. Hasbro definitely missing the boat on this one. The one warning I would give, which baltmatrix touches upon, is that the QC can be spotty - kind of has a ko-ish feel to it even though it's not a ko. It's such a great set!!!!!!
@@DjOnslaught0713 aliexpress. If you google "chinese aerospace space morphers," a couple of options show up. A lot of the youtube reviewers got theirs from sirtoys, but I think sirtoys is out of stock now.
It’s funny how much this guy swipes from the Prime Wars combiners, yet deliberately improves upon at the same time. The “combination matrix” is so plainly ripped off, yet the way it does the feet and Hand/ -Foot- /Guns is so much cooler than the ones that came with those combiners.
I did notice that does look like one of those Combination Enigma cores some or most of the combiner core units came with from that season of the toyline.
When I saw this set on Sirtoys I was gonna skip it because I thought the design was boring looking, but the individual figures look so unique and fun I kinda want it now despite the combined mode’s imperfections.
Something tells me while these guys are probably lead by omega supreme and the radio dish bot when omega is out of commission, like omega can pick them up and then drop them off.
I loved this set Balt! Your review totally convinced me! (at least it looks nice just for display purposes...) Of course an improved version with a whole lot better articulation would be awesome... 🤘🏻
think the first one is supposed to be somesort of an observation centre/communication facility as looks like the leg section is made to look like it rotates the dish in altmode, reminds me of astronomy buildings forgot what they are called, and love that the chest looks like it came from a Jaeger its hilarious
is this a set you would normally buy in the gift shop of a museum in China or something? That's kind of awesome actually, the only transformers I ever saw for sale in gift shops were the cheap dinosaur and animal transformers at the museum of natural history and bronx zoo that you would normally find in easter egg baskets...
@@officerbarbrady8387 these don't even seem like KOs, they just look like regular toys from a different license, the space shuttle guy looks like he took inspiration from Astrotrain but aside from that they're all very original designs.
The back of the space shuttles' robot mode has details that are based off of the Prime Armor from Power of the Primes. Weird. The pelvis of the combined mode has a molded Enigma of Combination detail as well. Double weird.
The head sculpt looks like runamuck and the body is so similar to astro train after all they both are space shuttle even the transformation is super similar
@@darthdmc from which the new galaxy shuttle shares a mold also fun fact with some retooling for the ability to combine with a motorcycle the original galaxy shuttle was retooled into thunder dagwon but i more see galaxy shuttle cause that figure doesn't have a train mode
Also, the hands on the rocket's robot mode are backwards. It shouldn't be too difficult to get them back the right way, though. **EDIT** And right after I said that, Balt corrected it. xD
no, i remember a set that was just like this one, but i watched years ago. maybe im just remebering wrong, but i remember another space set very similar to this one.
I liked the Space Shuttle and Rover bot modes the best, they seemed the most "complete". Overall, they all could've benefited from a bigger budget and better engineering to hash out some kibble and joint issues. If Hasbro bought these designs and made tweaks they could make for a nice addition to the TF line.
