Much like how Spider-Man has a Spider Sense, Bullseye has a Girlfriend Sense. The moment Matt gets a girlfriend, Bullseye's Sense starts to tingle, and he's like "Oh boy. Here I go killing again."
I'm surprised that Bullseye's throwing ability was secondary in this video. It's all I remember about the character. I thought he was a mutant for a couple decades. Flicking a toothpick to kill a man at 100 yards is way more than just "accurate." It's superhuman.
yeah. thats not how accuracy works. same with the paperplane thing. Id like the toothpick thing better if it didnt break the glass. just a perfect toss through an open window
@@mr.c9820 🤔 Same, but Ricochet is still very deadly.. Especially a very well timed one.. I like the simple aspect of his killings hiding behind something that's actually extremely complex.. A slightly detailed explanation to the impossible would lighting up the disbelieve in his work.. But then again, Daredevil exists lol..
The best method to kill someone with a toothpick (assuming you don't have super strength) would most likely be to give them a TOPI injury (Trans-orbital penetrating intracranial injury) through or around the eye, since there is only a thin layer of bone a few millimetres thick protecting the brain. Either way would be very difficult to penetrate with a toothpick, even with pinpoint accuracy, due to its minimal mass and brittleness, the toothpick would have a higher chance of snapping on impact or being stopped by the eyeball rather than getting into the victim's brain. Anyhow, this is a comic book character we are discussing, so no point in accuracy to real life.
Correct, Bullseye folded a paper plane and threw it from the building across the street. It breaks through the glass window and stabs the guy in the neck, killing him.
Less scary than the time he takes a paperclip and tosses it from the top of a building in order to shatter the window of a neighboring building and murder a mother breast feeding her child.
One of my favorite throws he did was Punisher threw a grenade at him and he tossed a toothpick into the fire-pin's hole in mid-air to keep it from exploding.
I did like the Netflix' Daredevil version of Bullseye. The background story and his therapy session were very suiting. Probably one of the best version of him.
I'd finished it and it's not that great or maybe things going slow. But I'd hear that Luke cage coming back and Iron Fist might have to stop luke cage for doing something that he might regret later on
@@fgtypezero0684 well I'd mean to say it could be alot better! Yes at the end daredevil came to his sense . I'd just want them to hurry up with Luke cage and someone take some sense to him. & iron fist new ability
Bullseye fought against dead shot in the 97 crossover, but I’m not sure who won. Since they both never miss they probably killed each other in the first shot 😁
Dennis Cleary I think I remember reading it and I think Bullseye won just barely by hitting Deadshot in the throat heart and forehead with his playing cards. He manage to hit dead shot earlier in the eye with a toothpick which threw off his aim just enough so while he was still hit by him with a gunshot it wasn’t a lethal one
The thing I like about bullseye is that him, victor zsasz, dollmaker, professor pyg, joker, and carnage are all crazy since they love to kill people and I believe that if joker, zsasz, and bullseye all teamed up they would be the most deadliest with bullseye impressive aim, joker chaos control and zsasz unpredictability
I love Bullseye! He's such an interesting psychopathic assassin, and Dark Avenger. I always thought that he could be a great villain for Hawkeye as well. His skills are just perfect as a foil to Hawkeye. Otherwise, I believe the definitive Bullseye interpretation is Netflix's Daredevil Season 3. It took numerous stories Bullseye told over the years and put them all together. Plus, despite all his horrible actions. He was still sympathetic as a character cause he's so mentally ill, and actually loved someone he tried to have a "normal" life with. Wilson Bethel is the perfect Bullseye. Anybody who for some reason hasn't seen DDS3, you all gotta check it out. Can't wait to see where they're going with Season 4's enhanced Bullseye.
Thunderbolts was a psychological thriller of a series, absolutely loved Bullseye's small role in it. He was just that guy that killed. He was that that Markov Gun of the second act, you knew someone was going to die that issue.
At 9:40, it's actually uncanny how much the current actor of Bullseye aka Ben Poindexter aka Dex in the current DareDevil series looks like that comic depiction. Like the eyes and smile is almost identical!
@@JohnAquariusPodcast maybe because dark knight and dd season 3 had a lot of similarities like a good guy turning bad, manipulated by another bad guy, and the main bad guy wants the hero to kill him
@@souvikdas1 yeah that and it just had the same intentense feeling like the stakes were higher each character had a lot to lose and yes the introduction of bullseye was spot on. Finally I used to read DAREDEVIL back when Frank Miller was the artist and writer and I felt like was reading it all over again. Again I love what they did with bullseye. Such an interesting character and an interesting storyline for him.
I believe one known fact about him is as a kid he was a pitcher and he hit a kid square in his rib cage in a spot that killed him intentionally, in the trailer he’s in a baseball uniform I think, can’t wait to c if he does that in season three
Yea, apparently in the story Bullseye was pitching a perfect game and in the 9th inning he wanted to leave the game and the coach told him no so he straight up just kills the next kid at bat with a pitch!
WilliamE216 that Might’ve been more of a cool expectation subversion, Coach was yelling to take the kid out and he hurled the ball and than the coach gets hit surprisingly, at least that’s how I saw it
There's no way he's not, at the very least, level 1 or 2 super human. Just the sheer level of shots he's made(that legit would take accuracy and serious crazy strength to pull off) tips him right into superhuman territory
Here after binge watching DD s3, kinda mad at myself for finishing it in two days 😓😪 Anyway, here to see how the Bullseye from the show compares to the comics
@@geraldsmith2072 oh i thought he shot her? It was Kevin Smith's run, right? I read from Smith's run through Return of the King all in one go like 8 years ago, so i could be wrong.
He attempted to kill her with a gun previously but was thwarted by Daredevil. He later killed her with Daredevil's billy club after firing the one shot into his shoulder. Bullseye mentions that he learned his lesson and only loaded one bullet this time.
Bullseye is MY DUDE. There is no real reason why he's so good or so accurate, but he is. Bullseye in the recent Old Man Logan (and Old Man Hawkeye) is amazing. Prodigious martial artist and superhuman accuracy with the ability to kill with any item (his favs is paper clips and playing cards).
So, maybe unpopular opinion, but I loved Bullseye and Kingpin in the Daredevil movie. Those two villains make watching that movie worth it. Duncan and Farrell were fantastic. I know it can be tedious but thank you for doing Bullseye Rob. He is definitely under appreciated. If you could do Venom and go into his Lethal Protector run that'd be great too. What'd you think of the Venom movie? I thought it was underwhelming.
@@jonathanwessner3456 no no Collin Farrel was a fantastic Bullseye. Way more faithful to the comic character than the series version. Cringe acting and a corny script that has aged horribly did the film no justice
@@machineguncrally7020 No, in the comics, Bullseye didn't have to unfold a paper clip to kill you. His "power" was the ability to know the exact spot and amount of force to hit you to cause death. Ferrel was like an over the top portrayal of a man who was usually cool and calm.
@@jonathanwessner3456 no oscar winning performance at all for sure but Farrel is one of the greatest actors and accurate when it comes to comic. He pulled off the look, the cocky, the psychotic, and the over the top funny ridiculous things he could attack you with like in the comics. And he still killed Elektra. The netflix series version was a crybaby who whined a lot and had to go to therapy and acted hard done by where as Farrel was just plain evil for no known reason like in the comics
I dig your videos man! Bullseye is one of my favorite characters. He, like hawkeye, are considered above peak human ,the only difference is bullseye has an innate ability he was born with, and underwent perfect adamantium bonding meaning no poisoning, he doesnt have an x-gene so he isnt a mutant , and nothing gave him his power like how daredevil/spiderman attained theirs whereas they're classed as a mutate.
Lore question: Any perticular reason why the adamantium doesn't poison him like it did to Old man Logan? (Even worse since he has no healing factor...)
That is something they're probably gonna say ut mattwrs the amount in your body. Becaise rmemeber when Bullseye in Thunserbilts the teleoaths coulnt cintrol him, but Wolverine gets mind controlled all the time and his whole skull is adamantium. So just inconsistent writing.
Yes. The adamantium placed in Bullseye was a higher quality then the grade placed on Wolverine's bones. It was for a high value target and they repaired his spine as an incentive.
Old Man Logan is just a spin off, there are version were he wasn't poisoned, just got old. So depending on what story your into adamantium is a sterile metal or it's radioactive/poison.
Thought this was a great summary of Bullseye and I agree Dark Reign gave him more spotlight. The Netflix version of the character pulled off some crazy feats but I don't think anything can top that deadly paper airplane!
Great video! Just got through the Netflix series, I knew broad strokes the comic influences, but it's great to see the direct inspirations: Bullseye getting his back broken, him taking up the Bullseye mantle, etc.
Loved this video just picked up a toy biz 2005 bullseye and it looks exactly how I remember from the old school comics so this video just refreshed me on the character thanks man 💪🏼
Bullseye has had some fairly ridiculous power creep over time. Originally he's a normal human who happens to be a really good shot. Over time he gains magical powers to never miss and turn any projectile into a lethal object from any distance or angle.
I love this shit, but not gonna lie your vids usually leave me with more questions than answers. Not necessarily about the specific character your vids are on but then about literally everything else lol
8:04 I really hope we get to see a version of this 'Russian Roulette' scene play out in Daredevil Season 4. Especially, considering the end of season 3.
You forgot the rather insignificant detail that he also killed Karen Page. And that the show kinda faked us out with the notion we'd see that happen again when Bullseye went into that church looking for Karen.
That bit about Bullseye first appearing in 1969 is not true. That Bullseye was named Edward Forsyth, and aside from being an assassin had little to do with the character we know. He also died either in the Nick Fury issue he was in, or another issue of Nick Fury the same year.
dude, your character explained videos are how i teach my gf about who's who. Glad you're doing them again. hope there's more to come, like maybe 1 a month or something so you don't burn out again
Nice recap of one of my favorite villains. F.y.i. Rob your voice is good because it's like captivating in a mysterious and thriller like way, sort of like Darth Vader or Vincent Price (except when you giggle or laugh thereby diminishing the effect of the story). Use your voice for that (take it seriously and stop laughing). Much success.
given the time he DID wear Daredevil's costume and given what you learn about the character, his skillset, his personality, Bullseye to me is - and always shall be - that strange hybrid of The Joker/Reverse-Flash to Matt's Batman/Flash. He is an opposite, a negative image, yet completely insane and sees the world through that chaotic lens. Yet like Reverse-Flash, he's narcissistic to ridiculous degrees. It's just a pity not many IN the books have taken advantage of the fact that Bullseye very much is an Evil Daredevil in many respects. DD can fight at range but prefers close range/Bullseye can fight at close range, prefers long distance; both have wicked tempers and shitty childhoods; Bullseye can globe trot but always comes back to New York and fixates on the Red Man just like Daredevil has been almost everywhere in Marvel but always comes back to Hell's Kitchen; one has questionable sanity whilst the other is gleefully insane; one is known to fight without sight, the other has such a keen eye that he almost never misses; Red suit (shadowed in black), Black-Blue suit with white trim. It's all there.
Lost Age Comics That fight was hilarious with Deadpool. I found it fascinating that pitting them being that Deadpool is suppose to be in the end all be all in assassins. Bullseye is no joke. My favorite was Bullseye fight with the Punisher. That fight was so epic. Bullseye was able to deduce Punisher psychology of his family’s death, simply by the way Frank fought. I hope that he goes after Frank in the Netflix Punisher as well. And please don’t kill him off!!!!!!!!!!
I really enjoy the videos that correlate with current Marvel shows, movies, etc. One thing I would not is that you didn't seem to cover bulls-eyes abilities in great detail.
You should do a video about the hand. Just so people are up to speed for the Daredevil series on Netflix. And I mean a real in-depth video about the hand, I just think that would be awesome to watch and the bone up on for the Netflix series.
I have criticised your videos from time to time, when u abruptly jump between stories and behave like a super excited kid, taking viewers for granted. But I also would appreciate your efforts for the good videos you make, like this one. I really got a good understanding of Bullseye's history. This is how you should make good explanatory videos.
