X stands for Gen X ! These games were a quintessential part of our youth (born in 80, so at the tail end of gen X, and between 14 and 20 when the games of this collection came out. Each and everyone of them blew my mind (and emptied my pockets at our local arcade). I've been feeling really down about the overall direction the videogame industry (and society in general) has been taking for the past 20 years and had completely dropped it since, so this announcement had me beyond overjoyed ! It's as if a spacetime portal opened in front of me and we were suddenly back in a time where things were still allowed to be awesome !

Get it physically guys. I can see this release being delisted later on down the track from online stores.

Capcom show some real love by remaking these games to fit modern displays and stop with the same old games being bought back out constantly. This collection should be HD or in 4K have faith in your customers a lot of people want this collection I believe it will sell. I’m still happy that we are still getting this at least hopefully this will help capcom revive their other dormant titles.

I was happy with my PlayStation back then but those Capcom vs games sucked on it 😂. I had an electronic boutique two blocks from my highschool who sold the imports so literally the only reason i used my highschool job money to buy a Saturn, because my parents bought me PS so they weren't doing it lol, was for those games. Literally all i owned on that thing was those X-Men, marvel, vs games and nights into Dreams lol that's it because i was into my PlayStation and my N64

God I loved growing up around that time. Coming into the arcade and seeing the newest SF/Marvel game and just knowing you'd spend all your allowance on it for the next couple months.

Not including Alien Vs Predator was a big missed opportunity. Still a dope games list though.

Hopefully a CVS collection is in the works considering the crossover SF6 DLC this year because those first two games are some of my favorite fighters of all time. That said, if Capcom went about a collection that included Power Stone and Rival Schools games, I won't ask them for anything again. Well that and a Dino Crisis remake in the vein of the RE ones. Then I'm cool forever because a Versus collection has been something I've wanted for a long, long time, so it's a celebration right now.

I'm disappointed about the upcoming collection because it's not being released for Xbox. These games have been on my wishlist for years, and I was really looking forward to sharing them with my fiancee's son, as we both enjoy playing fighting games. It feels like a letdown from a game developer I've always respected. This decision from Capcom really caught me off guard and I'm pretty upset about it.

Man the capcom representation in MVC2 was weird... I always thought the characters were from some other properties but its funny knowing they're not. sonson was probably the most surprising and a pretty cool concept for a character! honestly though I think the coolest capcom additions across the series were Megaman and Jill Valentine. I think Jill especially is cool in the artstyle.

Wait, Abyss wasn't Nils Styger, Night Crawler's half brother? I always thought it was an odd choice to use him as the main bad guy as he wasn't that powerful, but the powers are even similar. Finding out that it wasn't supposed to be the same character both makes sense and is perplexing.
