oh my gosh, this is such an amazing tutorial. I'm a yoga instructor and I've truly never heard the pose taught in such an amazing way before. I feel like I can finally master this pose. Thank you so much!
The progression and preparation are in itself a great full body workout. I absolutely loved it. I am nowhere near the level of mayourasana but I can do quite a lot of the exercises. I'll be sure to practice this a couple of times a week and will develop the strength for mayourasana. Thank you so much for sharing 💖
I was not able to do mayura asana but i am trying my best to do it so. It all thanks to you made me to try it now i can balance on my hand but not so take my feet up from the block. Thankyou.
Thank you for tutorial Everyone talks about how to do Mayurasana, but you made a very good video about how to achieve and which strength will need for this pose.
thankfully your fitness tips I am doing very well and I follow your instructions and I feel very comfortable and very peaceful after your fitness tips Thanks for your yoga tips
Your tutorial is amazing... You broke down the pose from small baby steps to full leap.. much thanks! I have just started doing it.. feeling lot of pressure in wrists but hopefully with practice, will get it.
@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates thanks, I will definitely try daily and will let you the day I will get it.. again thanks to you.. very well explained that my body and mind grasped it and working on it.. I will let you know my progress 🙏😊
Finally, today I was able to do it and hold the pose for 2 breaths. Feeling happy to share ❤️😊. Also would like to mention that there is one more video by Carrie Owerko which also helped me. Much thanks ! 🙏
Thank you Natasha! I love the way you teach, so complete and you are are so nice! Never thought about building mayurasana from sirshasana but Will try it, thank you🙏❤️
I really like your classes ! I try to study...I especially like classes with the wheel...But it's hard...I have to constantly look at the computer...)))) Thank you all the same !
This is an amazing video. You do a wonderful job of breaking down the pose, of preparing the various parts of the body for it, and for isolating the different components. I didn't quite get the leg lift my first session, but this gave me guidance for how to get there, as opposed to other videos I've seen where the presenter just pops into the pose immediately, basically saying, "easy! Now you do it!".
Excellent tutorial. Just a question, how much time you required to master this Mayurasana starting from a day 1 where you couldn’t do it? Thanks for sharing excellent tips.
Thanks for checking out my video! Unfortunately, it is impossible to put a time line on it as every body is so unique. Some will already have the strength to do it very soon and others might take months or years. With consistency, I personally think it can be achieved quite quickly since it's just about learning the transfer of balance. Bent knees will help a lot. Best of luck!
Hi, Mam, This is Karthi from India. I have a doubt. Could you clear that? Which one is best for reducing weight loss quickly Yoga Asana or Sun Salutation
I would say doing sun salutations will burn more calories and/or a yoga class with quicker and more movements. Most of my yoga classes are like this and especially my HIIT Yoga classes.
Hi I am practicing Yogasana since many years but irregularity. I am also doing Gum, cycling, running etc. But now I have decided to do Yogasana daily for one hour. There are many asanas to be practiced, so it’s very confusing. Please guide me which Asanas are best for medium practitioners like me to do in one hour and also tell me the sequence in which it has to be done. Thanks.
I have a whole playlist of fun yoga classes you can try. I usually do power yoga flows that can be for moderate/ intermediate to advanced levels. Give one a try!
@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates thx for the reply 😊.I tried all the preperatory asanas and my body was warmed up too. But I am having difficulties in placing my hand near my navel point 😭.how can I place my hand properly and balance?
@@kabilanmanokaran1507 I wouldn’t worry about getting your hands to belly button. We are all different. I would just place them in as far as you can comfortably, so that they can still hold you up but not worry about any specific spot.
I’ve been trying to get into this pose for some time and while other tutorials focus on core and back strength this tutorial allowed me to see that it was my wrist flexibility that prevented me from getting into this pose. I have a wide chest and can’t bend my elbows deep enough to tuck them in. Besides wrist stretches, is there anything else I can do?
Dear madam your vedio is very very nice for mayurasan.I like your valuable guidance & explanation very useful for seniors.I Request to prepare new video in Hindi language.please mam.
@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates wow!so do i!i didnt recognize the bay.ive been doing yoga for 55 years, but let it slide.even in my youth i never thought i could do peacock.you make it look realistically doable.
@@NatashaFitnessYogaPilates im 68.i did some stuff in my teens like reach around and hold toes in lotus.now i cant get into lotus due to arthritic hip.but im just getting back into it with a lot of asnans starting in the wee hours.im in santa rosa.i grew up near palo alto and lived in san francisco 37 years
@@nancynichols8659 wow I grew up in Sunnyvale, lived in San Francisco for a bunch of years, then to Brooklyn, NY and now I live in the east bay by Berkeley. Small world!
Ahh that’s not really possible for me to guess. I have no idea how close you are. With consistency, and dedication and maybe even some of my HIIT classes for overall strength, it wouldn’t be long! 🙌🏼 I have a HIIT class for arm balances coming out. We don’t do this pose but working on a lot of others would build lots of strength for this one
@@babitaverma1441 I do! How close are you? Have you done this whole tutorial? Do you feel the weight shift and counter balance as you lean forward? Have you tried bending your knees? It makes it a lot easier.
Not currently doing live classes on line. I have an app my.playbookapp.io/natasha-swinford/checkout?promo=fitnessmadefierce1 and tons of content here on RU-vid. I’m also on Instagram daily ☺️
I’m sorry but that’s silly. There’s no pose girls shouldn’t do. Every body is different. The pose might not be for everyone but you certainly can’t rule out a whole gender 😂🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️
Yes! Of course, that is up to you but there is no pose I don’t do on my period. There is no scientific evidence or reason you can’t invert or do hard things while menstruating.
All are requested not do any asana which does not provide any relief. I have been doing Mayurason for 4 years. Initially it benefitted me . But at present it is giving me no benefit. It is just wastage of valuable time. Do not do any asana. It is just wastage of valuable time.
