I did my first 46v today on a cx-9. New rear bumper and hatch repair, I wasn’t lucky like you to get blend on the quarters. When I did my sprayout, both quarters were different, one had been repaired badly and only needed one coat of tinted clear and the factory one needed 2 coats. The base coat is a trip on how ugly it is until you put the candy on it. Nice video

I make 41V with R-M paint, and they recommend to reduce pressure to 1.0/1.5bar on blended area with step 1 and 1.5bar with step2 and the final was amazing 😎

This is a great channel. I am going to go check out the RR vid next. I am going to be painting a 77 Camaro RR with PPG. One question for you, IF you got a run in that mid coat (candy), are you dead? Do you have to sand it all off? Or how could you fix it since it is transparent?

Im in the uk. some of the painters go edge to edge with the tinted lacquer as when you blend it, it can make it look darker on the outskits. just seeing what advice you have. Thanks. like your work.

Hello,Gabriel I wouldn't be scared!just another color with extra layer of paint..!Paint H9 is another code the is simaliar the looks funky but when it's done looks awesome..Was a good video 😂👌

I tried I think it's a Lexus color tri stage, base looks maroon but when you lay up 2 coats tinted clear shifts to like a apple red. Nice vid thanks for sharing.

@motivatedpainters did you have to do the X pattern when spraying this color like the 46G?

Interesting...the variant I always use has the tinted t490... just like any white pearl 3 stage.

Man I saw this red the other day on a Mazda 2. Been looking for a colour to paint my 1970 beetle. This is a very string contender.

At some point you'll have to show us how you hold your gun. You definitely seem to hold it tight and higher when on clear. I tried to get a better look to help my situation. I'm liking the 46V. Been seeing it at work. Haven't sprayed it yet but I understand the metallics are the finest smallest around? Thanks always Gabriel. You help more people than you know.

If any painters around Las Vegas or within a couple hours of Boise have this paint mastered, I have a door that needs repainting on my otherwise beautiful 2020 Miata RF. I had a random rock get kicked up and into my door by another car at 2,500 miles. I already had the dent fixed and the door repainted, but the shop didn’t get a great match. I need to find someone that’s got Soul Red Crystal figured out. I had to have cars to carry my kid around, then my grandkids. 3 months after I finally got the first car I’ve ever really loved and It’s gone from making me weak in the knees to sick to my stomach.

with standoblu its usually just one coat of mid coat.standox has converted a couple of them to single stages that are close with the right amount of blending room.great job on the blend. i usualkly whip mine out when blending. i l;ike how you just angle the gun and let the gun pattern do the work. its a different technique. i'm a try it tomorrow at work.Its cool seeibng new ways to try.I'm getting a walcom. that pattern is sick.My rp 5000 is really nice but that looks better.Where you het those gun stands in your mixing room.

Nice work gabe Looks the same like glasurit Awesome color looks hart to spray but i is'nt We become in the last 2 jears 3-4 mixing colors That makes this "modern factory candys" spraying easy 😊 Befor f.e. 41v was a never covering 4 stage .... And i think 46v is more Beautiful as anny other factory color i verry like to spray it But why you use only 25 psi for the groundcoat ? And i realy like your videos and the point of view.... its like to play call of Duty.... 🤣

Hey! Looks really good 😄 I have a couple questions. We are going to be doing a color change to a 2006 Saab 9-3. It's currently laser red (factory color). My brother is wanting to paint the car Ford's Ruby Red Metallic (RR) or Mazda's Soul Red Crystal Metallic. My biggest question is how much paint will we need to paint the entire car? Would 1 gallon of paint be enough? How much clear coat would we need to buy? I know I'll have to reduce the paint and clear. We are both pretty new to painting and we don't expect a perfect job but hopefully it will turn out decent. We will be renting a paint booth 👍 I've been doing a lot of research on painting RR and the Soul Red Crystal Metallic. Getting my internet degree 🤣 Thank you in advance for any help 😄

Those quarters just blends??? Must have some good writers out your way..my shop would of painted the bumper and wondered why it didn't match!!

Need to be very careful with those bottom edges were the color meets the textures. I have issues with color sticking when removing the tape.

All these tricoats are a joke compared to alfas rosso competizone i believe its 134b or 134a dont remember. Now that was a bit**y color to paint with spies hecker
