Thank you for your detailed and informative video regarding the instrument cluster removal. I was at first hesitant to preform this task being my mechanical acumen is somewhat less than most people's, but your video(s) have helped bolster my confidence in attempting these tasks. Again, thank you. I've also added your channel to my growing list of subscriptions. Cheers!
Thank you very much! Your video is one of the best, very helpful when I changed the instrument panel lights for my 1998 S500, From San Francisco, California
Before you start, disconnect the battery. If you don't, the moment you remove the gauge cluster you may get the ''SRS check lamp failure'' code recorded in your unit. Can not be errased with the 3 wire+LED+switch method on newer w124/201.
Thank you from Germany for your great help. I needed to remove the instrument cluster to replace bulbs and didn't know how. Now it was easy to do that. Thanx a lot!!
You are amazing. Love your English. Your are very skilled and do a great job without talking to people like they are dumbasses. You don't waste our time and go overboard with explaining pointless shit. Your are straight to the point and show what is needed and answer every question that is needed to do the job in which we are seeking your expert advice for. Your a natural and most people are annoying and I can't stand watching but you are charasmatic and draw people in. Keep doin your thing and thank you.

Hello. Thank you so much for your kind video. I needed to replace my ignition steering lock and it helped a lot to know how to remove the instrument cluster. And yes, your tip on those clips was very helpful because otherwise I would not guess what the hell was preventing me from pulling it out. =)
I just reach in underneath the dash and push it out with one hand since I dont have the tools. You have to remove the lower dash pad around the column.
Indeed, beside this simple and useful instructive video there are a lot of experience, many thanks my friend for your teaching and patient, and of course have a nice day.Regards
Thank you for the straight-forward demonstration... a little off-topic: does removal of instrument cluster allow access to the nuts retaining the blower fan speed resistor assembly? (I believe mine is burned out ('94 E300 TD - S124)

So...I have a 1998 SL 500 and last night, water sprouted out from my headlights ( I thought it was raining) and then my all the panel lights went out. My headlights worked and the upper lights worked, and the blinkers came on but no panel lights. I am so broke so I was wondering if I should drive my car only during the day and or do you think it could be something bad???
Do you know if the 1993 300TE Wagon w124 have the same removal procedure? What do you think causes the bouncing speedometer on a very low speed like parking lot speed. Thanks
