The performance of a lifetime.
Midst is an audio drama in which three mischievous narrators spin a surreal, reality-bending, sci-fantasy space western about a crotchety outlaw, a struggling cultist, and a diabolical bastard making awful decisions in a world on the edge of disaster.

And Weepe has been planning to turn Saskia and everyone at the Cabaret over to the Trust this whole time?? He’s fucking over Saskia and helping himself to Concord’s book report while he’s at it XD And that’s what Finn’s mission on Midst is, to bust open Sanctuary Hill and recapture all the refugees. Weepe tipped them off and he’s going to make a mint, right before the moon falls on everyone. Curious to see more of how Lark fits into this, she is definitely also running from the Trust and upside down mouth guy probably knows this? HOOOOOOOO

Horrible but satisfying way for the conman to meet his fate. Though if he was any kind of good conman, he should have had something that would trigger a release of information if he died/didn't come into contact etc. We'll see.

What sucks is that everything Concord had only nails down Saskia. Weepe was already planning on selling all this info the to Trust anyway. Depends a lot on if Concord let his backup know exactly what he planned to do - and if someone can identify those patent leather shoes. According to the site he's a very practiced and successful blackmailer. Putting all his eggs in one basket would be a pretty rookie mistake, but regardless, it's going to be really hard to pin this on Weepe.

Oh! Maybe this is why Phineas got short-changed on his reward. He showed himself to be sympathetic to those in debt. If he paid off his own, he might be a risk for sneaking others out. And that's why he's on his current mission. Also, I bet that little ship that departed later from the scene of the abductor's arrest was likely a smuggler he was trying to meet to escape to freedom.
@kathyclifford8914

Yeah, the little ship was probably there to smuggle out Ginsberg... but why the heck did he bring the Fleit kid?! That was absolutely guaranteed to bring the Consectors after him. @chirpbirds924
@chirpbirds924 10 месяцев назад
@@captaincanada8510 Yes, I don't like how they sometimes contradict themselves. Like how they started of this episode saying he didn't stop at the bar, but then changed it to that he did stop at the bar but only for a moment. Most people sit there and imagine what's happening, and it ruined my immersion having them tell me something, and then imagining it, and then having to go and rewind and change it. They sometimes make jokes that are not necessary, as though reading Midst to close friends who they are trying to make laugh, I didn't notice that in this episode, but in earlier episodes they did that sometimes. They're not reading this to close friends hoping someone gets the joke, they're reading it to a large variety of different people and thus being more simple is better and more effective, rather than trying to add their own fun and spice into the telling. Sometimes they structure sentences wrong, there was a few in this episode. They make a point, at the end of a sentence, instead of at the start, and so what happens is you have to sit there for a moment and process what was said. But if they restructure it so that the main point is at the start of the sentence, then you're already understanding the main focus, and those additional details are to help entertain your immersion. So they talk too fast sometimes, and you're still trying to process what they had just said before. But this can be overcome with better sentence structure. This error is likely because the story is written, and when read, it doesn't matter all that much because you can pause and think about what happened. So it's written without really properly considering that it's going to be read out In a few episodes I noticed they pronounced words wrong, or stuttered or made mistakes, and yet they just keep going, as though they just sit there and do one take and read the whole episode through. It's that kind of laziness that can then display how their show could be far better, and yet they are really only putting in half effort, imagine full effort. The sound effects are sometimes too loud. What they should do, is have someone listen to the show after each episode, and give genuine feedback. I feel like that either isn't done or is done by a friend who doesn't want to run the risk of upsetting them by being honest. If the sound effects are to try and push a certain emotion, then why also don't they themselves talk that way, but instead they will just talk with the same neutral emotion regardless of the emotions of the event at hand, two very contradictory intentions. Just things like that.

Concord showed his hand too early and for some reason thought he was safe to threaten a man as powerful and connected as Mr. Weep without repercussions when he told him he'd kill him awhile back.

Concord was a practiced and successful blackmailer. I'm betting his influence on the story doesn't end with his death. We shall see.

Some people are mad that CR hosts the non-TTRPG content on a channel. They regularly complain here.
