Midst never misses. It's so frustrating that this series is so undervalued. The story is great, the setting is interesting, and the way there's always a subtle level of tension in almost every sentence is spoken is masterfully done. God this podcast is so good

The scary part is how closely it resembles what the global elite are trying to put in place with cbdc and the social credit score that's already a very real thing in china. when you view it with that light it's utterly terrifying.

@@quetuo3908 Think way back to episode 1, how we're introduced to Lark. She's hiding in her house, waiting in ambush for a Blinding. It was Fold, and while she had a lamp, it was shuttered because of the way Blindings home in on light reflections. I have a pet hypothesis that the Fold-marked are immune or resistant to tearrors. BTW from what I can tell the tearror only melted Atticus' tie. What happened to Atticus is likely due to Weepe injecting his own ichor straight into the guy's neck. The effect is rather nauseatingly similar to that of the Blinding imo.

It's like ice cream. Sometimes you dig that scoop in deep and pull out a large chuck of ice cream. Sometimes you barely skim the surface with the edge of the scoop, but do it long enough and you get a large chuck of ice cream. So much story and lore with just barely an understanding of the reality it's from. Skimming the surface to get a lot of ice cream without going deep. Slowly scraping another thin scoop each week. So addicting.

This show is so delightfully strange and interesting. I love the little pieces of world building we get throughout. The clear air of Midst as opposed to the mica dense air of Trust worlds. It's so neat

A lark is also a bird that sings as dawn breaks (or Un-rise, as they'd call it on Midst), while Lark does her work during Fold/night.

I really want to listen to these in one big go. 25 minutes is just an awkward time for me to listen to something. I haven't listened to them yet, but when the whole thing is out I will find the time to listen to the whole thing. Don't mistake the low views for disinterest, I'm just waiting for them to be available in a format I'd rather consume it in

Tzila is probably home. Lark was just babysitting till perhaps just after mid-Fold. Saskia told Sherman she was not performing that night (see "Trust"). "Coda" happened on a different date and Sherman was at the bar.

I think it's loaded with some kind of fast acting neurotoxin. Remember the thing from the lockbox that Sherman handed her across the bar in episode 4? "Make it... 5 ounces today." I think that's her source.
