I drill a hole in my shockwave drill bit container with every bit to use as a drill size guide for picking bits for bolts and stuff. Super helpful

Its crazy I bought another of those just for the extra Shockwave bit holder yesterday and didn't even realize until today that it had a sleeve. Just about shipped my pants. Im glad they finally have one. Cheers

I love this tool. I've had it since the summer. I bought it because of the sleeve. I've used it daily as my main bit holder. And to be honest I don't really use any of the other stuff. Just the sleeve and bits.

That is a handy little kit. Years ago a Milwaukee sales rep visited my work place and gave me that kit as a gift. I keep it in the glove box of my pickup for emergencies.

I never knew a Milwaukee bit holder existed with a sleeve, but now I want 2! After researching Milwaukee’s site they are available 3” , 4” and 6” with out the multi tool kit. I wish I knew this years ago thank you for the info vince!

Great video Vince! DeWalt does have another sleeve that i got in a kit that has more capacity than the standard DeWalt sleeve. I’m going to have to try one of Milwaukee’s. Thanks for sharing!

One upside of this kit is that you get Milwaukee's proprietary ECX bits for terminals and other things. Very innovative! Thats what made my mind up 👍

Just saw this video and wish I saw it sooner to share when I found out about the sleeves in late January. The home depot had a sale online for the 3 pack of the 3", 4", and 6" magnetic impact drives for $8.29. The best buy I've had. Use them all the time.

Thanks Vince! Did not know of the sleeve! Wish I had as the scars on my hands from driving the bit through them when the screw spins off shows how bad the longer screws/bigger bugles can make for a bad day. Just ordered the set through my supplier. Also liked the video on the embedded 1/4 x 20 nut found on my kits. My vote is for the long bolt too.

This is so funny. I actually have one of those things and I dont think I've ever used it. Now I'm about to go out to my truck and check out that sleeve because I like the milwuakee holders better the magnet seems to work better too.

I had been using Ridgid cordless tools for a few years, but always loved the milwaukee cobalt drill bits for metal and the titanium quick connect bits for wood and plastic and aluminum, but I primarily was using the tools for home use. Well I started needing my tools for use at work and every month a ridgid tool would break... Yes they have a lifetime guarantee, but what's more annoying that needing a tool that is broken or wondering if this use is going to break your tool? So I started watching y'alls videos and pulled the trigger and started investing in milwaukee cordless tools, and I have to say I have not been disappointed. Great informative videos Vince.

I just upgraded to Milwaukee Fuel line a few weeks ago! I have been watching your videos ever since! Lots of great info, actually helped me with buy more batteries. I literally just saw the sleeve bit in HD two days ago and thought “That is nice, I need to get one!” I didn’t buy it right then but just ordered the kit you have. My issue is finding 1/4” Hex drive bit storage. If you have any videos on that or come up with a solution let me know!

I’ve had one in my tool bag for years. The one I have didn’t have the sleeve. Honestly didn’t know they had one.The wire stripper is only good in a pinch used it a few times but only if I had to.

Hey Vince cool to know about the Milwaukee sleeve fitting over the big screws, cuz I have the Dewalt for years and it doesn't! But I find I tend not to use sleeves and just go for 2 or 3 in bits straight into my impact as often have the bits getting stuck in the screw after finish driving it and coming out of the sleeve. Can you make a video about that issue and which bits/sleeves it happens the least with?

I never noticed the wire stripper before, until that first close up. Though probably more of a "where are my wire strippers?" kind of solution. Not my first choice, but better than finger nails I almost bought that too once, but at the time contained Gen1 shockwave bits, though Gen2 were out.

used to drive a lot of screws at an angle to pest proof buildings, especially for bats, with a sleeve they sold in the '90s. it would take a big screw, but was a little sloppy for the standard 1 1/4' galvanized wood screws we used by the box. this one looks like a better fit. can't remember who made the early ones, but we couldn't have lived without em. I can't wait to try Milwaukee's. just bought a larger shockwave set and don't even know if this was included. I'll let you know

I would never use it as a designated stripper but if I was using it and needed a wire stripped, I would put it to use. The Milwaukee wire strippers are my go to. Wonderful design with a needle nose tip. Very useful, highly recommend. Also feel very heavy duty.

Electrician here, i have the black oxide version idk if these are diff im going to get the carbide bit one this week: i tried but quickly learned its something u dont want to rplace strippers..my version also came without markings on the sleeve, says milwaukee with a stainless steel end, makes easy to see on an electrical rough in.. thanks vcg

Hi, I am in the UK. I have been using the magnetic bit and sleeve since I was an apprentice. We generally use them for when we a using slotted bit, so we don't slip off the screw and damage the product.

I had no idea that drill bits could fit so differently, i just figured the more expensive ones wore out slightly slower so ive always bought cheap ones, also that magnetic sleeve is the kost amazing thing ive ever seen

DeWalt does make a longer sleeve. It's 4 5/8" long, and quite handy.

I now own a set of 10. It was one at first until everyone's sticky hands of borrowing and return it back after work. I have own 3 2504 drills a 2505 muilt driver an 2553 impact. Now plan on getting more.

Milwaukee makes 3 different lengths of the magnetic sleeve bit holders and sell all three in a kit. They had the sleeve since gen 2 came out but added the three sizes in gen 3.
