How are the dragons wearing those masks, they have totally the wrong face shape? They'd need to mold the masks to the shape of their snouts as otherwise they'd keep wobbling all over the place or tilt in such a way as to render them useless.
I was so puzzled. They just spoiled that Opaline was defeated and dragons are okay. Nobody at Hasbro care. They just have some intern releasing "Halloween" episodes for October without any rhyme or reason for the overall plot because nobody watches it. I can't even imagine how abandoned G5 will be when Mak Your Mark ends. They will lost their remaining 20 fans.
I think ch 6 was supposed to be out already. But got pushed back to November due to reasons. And since tyt was made beforehand. Like months ago. Kinda like what happened to fnaf security breech and the fnaf books about the pizzaplex.
I just thought of something dark. The G5 dragons are hybrids between the dragon kind and the pony kind to keep the dragon species alive. It explains why the dragons have cutie marks, pony ears, the magnetic claws, and weirdly shaped snouts.
So... we skipped straight from "Dragons? Where are they?" and they are just "finally waking up but are in danger from Opaline" (after 5 seasons no less) to "Not only are the Dragons fine... but they sent an invitation for the ponies to join their tribe!?" This feels wrong. If the Dragons REALLY all fell asleep after the loss of magic during Twilight's time, then their culture would not have changed. An entire society set into a standstill like suspended animation, or in the Dragon's case, an extended hibernation, usually preserves a way of life, not reshapes it. The Dragons would likely still be under the same ruler, and would be asking questions about how the rest of the world changed while they were sleeping. Also, why do the Dragons now look like weird dinosaur ponies?
This is the second episode of TYT that seems to have no context. The Last episode started as if I had missed half the episode and then random stuff happened. This was like I missed a full episode. I'm glad I'm not alone in feeling this way. Oh and the red one strait up told us he didn't expect to see them again. Meaning he threw six ponies into a magma chamber knowing full well they were likely not to survive. That's messed up. And where is Lord Ember? It's only been less then 100yrs since Twilight was crowned Queen or whatever
Without watching the episode, I think the reason they might've spoiled Make Your Mark this way is that it seems that Hasbro is already leaning into the idea of making Tell Your Tale the main show. It's a plan that we've known about since a certain Powerpoint presentation of theirs was leaked, not long after Chapter 4 came out, but I figured they'd at least wait it out until Chapter 6 got to end, or when season 2 of Tell Your Tale started. But it seems like they have no goddamn patience. Tell Your Tale turned out to be more of a cash cow, it turned out to be more popular with its target audience of little girls, and instead of waiting for a logical transition point they already wanna get the ball rolling to get it to the forefront. Despite it being a massive transition that doesn't make much sense without the proper set-up for it. But Make Your Mark ain't over 'til it's over, dammit! I think it's extremely disrespectful to take a huge reveal for Make Your Mark's last hurrah like this, especially when the series is ending prematurely. And quite frankly I want to see MAKE YOUR MARK bring the dragons in first, as God intended. I suspect it'll be far better done there anyway.
Even if it were just TYT, this still makes no sense. They make reference to events that haven't happened yet. And either way, the long-awaited introduction to the dragons (hinted at since MYM's very first chapter) has been utterly ruined because there WAS no introduction.
@@PeacePetal I'm not saying it's a decision that isn't shitty-because it is. But I think there's a possibility that this release wasn't a mistake, and that they really sent it out to cement Tell Your Tale as the main show now. I, of course, could be wrong. Hasbro has fucked up far too many times with G5's releases, including Tell Your Tale's. I still remember when Dumpster Diving came out earlier than it was supposed to, and I'm certain that the show's only hiatus that lasted 3 weeks was entirely by accident because an episode didn't come out the week earlier.

Okay, so, I got in the mood to catch up a little bit on the Tell Your Tale episodes I haven't watched (for completion's sake, really) and COMING FROM THE FUTURE I can tell you that this episode somehow, SOMEHOW, makes even less sense with the Chapter 6 context. For one thing, in Chapter 6 The New Mane 6 lost the Marestream in the Dragonlands. Yet in this episode, which happens seemingly after all of Chapter 6, or at LEAST after Roots of all Evil, they have it back and working as intended. No explanation. Second, why do the New Mane 6 need to prove themselves to be apart of the dragon's tribe? They helped the dragons defeat a threat that had been terrorizing them and stealing magic from them for centuries now. Isn't that enough for them to be considered allies?? Third, Spike is the Dragonlord, and uh, why the fuck would he have an obstacle course for newcomers to prove themselves? That's like, the least Spike thing ever. Spike wouldn't base the value of anyone to be apart of his tribe due to their skills lol. I get what this episode is trying to do-it's trying to have a more adventurous story for the show. With obstacles that can only be faced by the positive qualities of the characters. But if the set-up to your adventure is so broken, it's hard to really get into it. This episode makes no sense with the Chapter 6 context, but it also needs it to explain itself because it's the only one that really explains where the dragons even come from and oh, yeah, Hitch literally references Opaline's defeat at one point!! Do the Tell Your Tale writers actually watch Make Your Mark? Shouldn't that have been a requirement, when the series are supposed to share continuity? God, what a headache.

How are you gonna have two shows that are supposed to be connected and yet not give all the writers the same details in the story? It almost makes me wonder if Tell Your Tale WANTED to have its own continuity by that point.
