Monster Hunter World: Zorah Magdaros Lore (Elder Dragons) 

If you recall what the First Wyverian said "Zorah Magdaros has been _lured_ towards the Everstream by _the Light of Life."_ This indicates 3 likely explanations. 1) The Research Commission notes that it's rather odd that so many Elder Dragons were living in the same place at one time. Especially when they weren't here to die given that they haven't shuffled off to the Rotten Vale like Zorah Magdaros was going to. Since Xeno'Jiiva is quite literally born from the essence of Elder Dragons, one could surmise that Xeno'Jiiva was luring in living Elder Dragons in order to hasten its birth/growth by leeching off of the living Elder Dragons, and perhaps hoping to absorb the _massive_ amounts of bio-energy that Zorah Magdaros has stored within itself. 2) Zorah Magdaros decided to assist with the growth/birth of Xeno'Jiiva by offering its life essence much more willingly than in the first explanation. With such a massive amount of bio-energy stored within Zorah Magdaros, Xeno'Jiiva could grow truly powerful. 3) Given how many Elder Dragons are present within the Elder's Recess... I will make a daring point as state that they were waiting there to _witness_ Xeno'Jiiva's birth, and Zorah Magdaros wanted to witness Xeno'Jiiva's birth as opposed to dying just before it. Xeno'Jiiva is described as 'Otherworldly', 'Phantasmal', and 'Unfathomable'. Leading one to draw close to the idea that this Elder Dragon fills a role outside of a standard ecosystem much like how the Fatalis dragons are meant to be the Bane of Mankind. However there is one more piece of evidence pointing towards Xeno'Jiiva's purpose. The Armor Set ability you get from it... _Xeno'Jiiva's Divinity_ It's quite possible that Xeno'Jiiva is meant to become a literal Elder Dragon _God._ An Elder Dragon born from the purest life essence of Elder Dragons. All of the Elder Dragons in the Elder's Recess? They were all hoping to witness the birth of their new god. This would truly be an event no one would want to miss, hence explaining the quickened Elder Crossing and why Zorah Magdaros would hope to stave off death _just_ long enough to witness Xeno'Jiiva's birth.

Zorah is likely an aged Lao shan lung. They sport very similar appearences and movement, and we know the Lao from the earlier games was a young one. One look at shen gaoren should show how massive they can become. Add to that the fact that Lao is called the mountain dragon and Zorah is literally a mountain. He also has some similarities to the Dire Miralis, which itself is a much older version of the Fatalis.

Xeno=Malefor Zorah=The destroyer Nergigante=Gaul (all of them are from the Legend of Spyro series) I dont know they match each other =/

I think that after zorahs death all of the old world elder dragons were alerted to xeno’jiiva’s presence and were all working together to destroy this being and what I also believe is that if gore magala arrived to the new world then xeno’jiiva might be alerted to the frenzy virus due to the bio energy coming from the souls of elder dragons so it could have a infant xeno’jiiva fight a juvenile gore magala to ensure its own survival against it

Zorah Magdaros was going to Xeno'jiiva. Zorah was going to Nuke the infant Elder Dragon into oblivion to preserve the balance, and Nergigante was guiding him in that mission. With the defeat of Xeno'jiiva, Shara Ishvala took the opportunity to make its play for the Everstream and expand its influence. Nergigante acted against this as well, in the name of Balance. But even as the Old Everwyrm falls to the skill of the Hunter and the might of Nergigante, a darker force awakens. A true Black Dragon, an agent of malice with such drive for destruction that Nergigante can't stand against it has arrived. Who can hope to withstand the great terror of the elemental lord, Alatreon?

zorah and xeno jiiva... kinda reminds me of lao shan lung and fatalis the one who fears the power of the other one

we know what happened. Zorah is old enough to die, xenojiva releases pheromones to attract dying elders and to feed on their bioenergy. its all explained

I also believe that teostra and Dora where the plan b if nerg and zorah failed in destroying this creature so if teostra, nerg, & dora found xeno’jiiva’s nest they could defeat it and destroy the creature themselves and die off without worrying of a threat of xeno’jiiva

I fought Zorah Magdaros today and saw a smiling part I think on its shell's hips that reminded me of Gogmazios. Could they possibly be related or is it an Easter egg?

I believe Nergigante and Zorah were consciously trying to destroy Xeno, because they new of its unnatural powers, the reason I believe that, instead of them waiting to witness the birth of a “elder dragon god” is because Nergigante was trying to destroy Teostra, and Kushala if he feasted on them the energy they had would not be given to Xeno, and the idea of Zorah going there to witness Xeno birth if that happened his power could accidentally destroy Xeno and the other elders, so I conclude or at least in my opinion is that Zorah and Nergigante were attempting a suicide run to destroy Xeno and it’s unnatural powers
