Brilliant timing - just about to pick one of these up (with no drive and a loose belt cover) for chewing the rough patches of grass I wouldn't dare put my hrx onto - thanks for sharing, much appreciated 😀
I thought the factory fitted the belt guard ussing an engine bolt with the head on nthe base of the engine and the nut against the belt cover...mine was...just finished taking ouyt all the rust under the deck and prepping with Dinitrol and Hammertite...lovely job which gives the deck another 4-5 years....if I can get the bloody motor working properly! Useful vids, good work!!
Another good video Mick, you made it look easy, i do a little bit of the small engine stuff myself, but I'm going to see how that goes in the future, keep up the good work!!!
Hey mick ! Thanks for the vid! New to fixing mowers but trying to troubleshoot fixing my moms for her ! It made the same noise but when I went to look underneath it didn’t even have that plastic part! Any idea what might be causing that? Thanks again!
Hey Mick great channel who uses those Atco real mowers here in the us I’ve only seen them mowing golf course greens and I seen those push types when I was a kid
Nice one. what do you reckon to sell it for? I’ve got a very similar one I want to sell. Unfortunately mine cost me a new drive cable and height adjustment lever, but was very cheap to buy. Cheers
Hi Mick, i have a mountfield similar to this one but the lower handle has snapped and the bolts that attach it to the body just keep spinning, i tried drilling new holes and tapping them but that did'nt work. Any ideas on how to fix it. A shame to scrap it because of a couple of stubborn bolts. Thanks.
Hi mate I do have a video somewhere on how to replace the back baffle.. I will try and find it .. the repair can be done for around £30.. if not you can just get a grinder and cut the heads off.. remove the baffle and fit some new bolts..
Well to me it doesn't matter as I have to take all the oil out to service it anyway.. for members of the public I would say carb side up but for a mower shop you know what your doing.. ask the question did the mower start at the end of the video?
