Multiracial group asked to move in restaurant to accommodate white customer 

The customer was racist? The employees and manager as well. Otherwise wouldn’t happen. Simple.

No amount of “sensitivity training” can teach basic humanity.

"We have a regular customer who doesn't wish to be seated near blacks." Then tell him to hit the drive thru.

I cant believe they were asked to accommodate a racist man, when instead the restaurant should have made the racist leave for disrupting other customers. This is so backwards it isn't funny.

I can’t tell you how many time’s as a waitress a customer didn’t want me to serve them as soon as I walked up to the table. Now in nursing school the patients are the same way.

When a customer asks you to move other customers because of their race the only proper answer is to order that person to leave.

Disgusting decision by managers. The correct response would have been to tell the "regular customer" to leave...and not come back.

I had as regular at my family's restaurant who ate at our place for lunch *every day* and about 3x a week he also came back for dinner. He was a quiet, older gentleman who could get a little grumpy. One lunch a family who had an adoptive autistic son came in. The boy was about 5 and had been coming since he was a baby. He never had trouble and would always run up for a hug when he came in the door. That morning, however, he was struggling. But his mom immediately took him outside to calm him down so he wouldn't disturb other customers and only brought him back in when he was calm. I gave him some pizza dough to play with and he was really quiet after that. The older gentleman called me over and *demanded* i tell them to leave so he could enjoy his lunch. I told him it's a family restaurant, and all kids are welcome, but if he would like, I could move him to the bar and would serve him myself so he would be sure not to be disturbed. He freaked out on me and stormed out. I don't tolerate intolerance. He came back a week later and still comes in, years later. I'm happy to deal with people's grumpiness, but my other customers should not have to. That's just common sense.

The most painful thing about racism is when it hit your kids in your presence and you got no power to deal with it. they will remember it for the rest of their lives.

I’m a f&b manager. I have kicked out guess from restaurants and lounges before for acting or sayings racist things to other guess or associates. Lack of common sense and ethic from thos ex employees. Smh

This is not even good business. Rejecting over 10 people for 1 crazy dude? Is he gonna order the entire menu or what? Shameful AND bad business

My son and his wife went into a nice restaurant and the waitress took them to a table far from the rest of the customers, my son looked at her and said, "no, we don't want to sit in the back of the bus!" She was shocked but moved them much closer. They are a mixed race couple! That's my boy! ❤

Ppl always say it’s not a big deal. But u never forget the first time u encounter racism. I vividly remember being followed with my mom when I had enough money to buy her a. Burberry coat. And the treatment I received as I paid for it. I also remember, when I took my dad on vacation and bc he is dark, most ppl thought he was an employee. It broke my heart. I wanted to give him a good experience and I can’t imagine how unpleasant it was for him

They told me they didn't hire people with tattoos lol. This was told to me by the manager who was late to our interview and looked as if she hadn't taken a shower in days and wore the same uniform everyday without washing it. All I could do was laugh.

As part of the lgbt community I’ve experienced this before, a couple next to a friend and I kept making faces and making slick comments but we kept enjoying ourselves, as we say, that’s them, not us

I experienced that at a diner in Massachusetts

That’s one thing that would only get you a whole 30 seconds in my work place, if any customer even spoke some ignorant crap like it would be a police escort out of my store with a signed trespass order in their hand. It’s beyond reason for anyone to even try and call a person like that a regular customer or have anyone as a employee actually cater to that and tell another patron that they would choose that persons business over them at all

I was once moved from a table at a restaurant I would frequent while I was in the restroom so 2 white patrons who “liked my table would not get angry”per the server. I immediately left and never returned. This stuff happens all the time, sadly.

I experienced racism every single day when I was a child back in the 1960s but to see children cry over racism today almost 60 years later is extremely heartbreaking. This means that there was an entire generation had passed and we have learned nothing.

So, you know this man is a racist and yet you let him come to the restaurant AND accommodate by moving a black family? Bruh...

When this story broke, I remember thinking, "The manager and servers getting fired is the *LEAST* of Buffalo Wild Wings' concerns. Those idiots opened the company up to federal civil rights lawsuits, and you can be sure that BWW will pass those costs right on to the ex employees."

Took me two times to re-read the title before I realized the group wasn't being asked to live in the restaurant.
