Thank you for the video! I completely agree with you that the champ is a lot easier to carry than I anticipated. Especially surprised at how light it was. Fits in the breast pocket of any jacket and you don’t even feel it. Thanks again for the good summary of tools! The more I have this thing, the more I find uses for each tool!
Thank you for sharing. The Swiss Champ is my favorite edc. I keep getting the latest as they upgrade. But now it has gone into the "behemoth" mode. I might pass on the XXL/XLT versions, even though part of me really wants one. 😵💫 My phone case has one of the Victorinox cards. So handy.
Great video thanks. Now I EDC the Handyman SAK hanging off my belt by a lanyard in to my pocket. It rides easy high to one side out of the way. On my belt I EDC the Swiss Champ XLT SAK. Easy carry on my belt. Like having two plyers one for each hand for making real tight knots with paracord. Between these two knives it works as the Handyman is big but not to big and the Swiss Champ XLT has all the tools when needed that the Handyman does not. I also keep a Leatherman Rebar, SAK Skipper, SAK RangerGrip, SAK CyberTool M and the SAK Champion Plus in my EDC backpack if and when needed. You can never have to many SAK's as they are fun to have.
I have 9 Huntsman ( 3 collectables & 6 for EDC rotation including 5 different colored with Plus scales & SwissQlips & 1 SilverTech scaled ) but no Swiss Champ ( however my default key-ring SAK is a Hybrid SilverTech scaled 58mm Midnite-Mini-Champ ) as I consider it too big & unwieldy for both pocket carry & practical use. I use several multi-layer SAK's as part of my Home Tool Kit including the CyberTool M, Deluxe Tinker, the Ranger & Wenger Tradesman - This covers all my SAK tool needs & I prefer to use 2 SAKS together on a task rather than have so many tools all bunched up together in one knife because it makes it hard to use more than one tool at a time
Thanks for watching! I appreciate your opinion. I never had a problem with ease of use and carry with my Swiss Champ. I agree with you, the Huntsman is awesome.
@@Ernie-on2vf I am in Tel Aviv Israel and we have no knife carry restrictions, I have a few dozen large lock blade knives including assisted opening, Out The Front, gravity opening blades & fixed blade Bowie & military combat knives - I just prefer Swiss Army knives - both Victorinox & Wenger for EDC
I'm amazed the Swiss Champ fits in a change pocket. I stopped wearing blue jeans decades ago when I discovered cargo pocket pants & BDU's. Unfortunately they don't come with a change pocket.
The pants I am wearing in the video are somewhat like cargo pants. All weatherproof pants from Sam's Club. LOL. Even with no change pocket, I would still carry the Champ. I would use a belt pouch if I had to.
I am not familiar with the Huntsman light. Interesting. I will look it up. Thanks for watching. I subscribe to everyone who makes comments on my videos.
as much as you like to mod things, I would have thought you would own a Swiss Champ or even the ones with the socket/bit set to carry in your bag just in case you want to mod something on the go. LOL btw, got any new videos coming up? Did you ever look into stun guns?
@@GlockNinja I don’t mod things on the fly unless I have to 😁. Didn’t look into stun guns cuz I have enough on my plate with pistols, knives, pepper spray, tac pens, etc. 🤣. After watching your videos, I’m thinking about knives 🔪
Woo, you have a Spydernox? My holy grale knife. I watch his videos all the time. How much did your's cost? My two favorite knife brands, Spyderco and Victorinox.
I carry a Work Champ every day and a Hunter Pro and a single alox in my wallet and a alox Farmer on a Victronox chain on my belt ! ALWAYS CARRY A KNIFE !!!
I sometimes carry my swiss army knife while I mow my lawn to saw off vines growing on mg fence. Thanks for watching! I subscribe to everyone who comments on my videos.
I don't understand why Victorinox doesn't just include the plus scales on every model. I carry a Compact everyday and love it but want to go to a Huntsman but by the time I buy after market plus scales I could just buy a Champ.
I’m an alox guy. I edc either a farmer or pioneer. I wish they made the bigger models with alox scales. I find the toothpick and tweezers to be totally useless for my needs.
I like the alox scales, they do look cool. I use my tooth pick as I have crooked teeth and food gets lodged between my teeth sometimes. I also use the tweezers to pluck the gray out of my gotee. If I were to get an alox model, I would get the Farmer over the Pioneer because the Farmer has the saw. Thanks for watching! I subscribe to everybody who makes a comment on my videos.
I wouldn't use the chisel as a pry tool. The large flathead is better for that. You also missed the small (electrician size) flathead that's next to it.
@@GlockNinja I think there is but it is sometimes called a hobo knife. No not from Victorinox, except for the kids toy version. There are plenty of others with a spoon and fork, often known as ''hobo knives''. The metal ones I know of though tend to be the cheapo Ozark Trail and other Chinese OEM versions.
