My Logan's Run Book, Movie, and Magazine Collection.
Logan's Run, the 1976 sci-fi classic, is one of my favorite films. It was directed by Michael Anderson and starred Michael York, Jenny Agutter, Richard Jordan, Roscoe Lee Browne, Farrah Fawcett, and Peter Ustinov. It is based on the 1967 novel by William F. Nolan and George Clayton Johnson. Watch as I discuss the movie and show off my collection. Enjoy!

I love Logan's Run as well. Have you seen StarCrash (1978) yet? It's one of those "so bad, it's great" kinda b-movies...but one of my favorites as well.

Starcrash is the gem of the great star wars rip off trinity along with Message from Space and The Humanoid, what are your guys thoughts on Battle Beyond the Stars?which I think is probably a qualitative cut above the other Star Wars-inspired films from that time

I got to meet the author William Nolan and have a signed book from him. There was a local screening of the movie some years back and he was there. He talked about all the differences there was between the book and the movie. I could tell that many of the changes bothered him.

The artwork for the 1979 Bally pinball machine Future Spa apparently looks inspired by Logan's Run.

I'm a fan of the movie as well. I can't recall when I first saw it, likely on cable television as I was too young to remember the movie in the theaters. I own it on Blu and also do have the Laserdisc of this movie, though I've not watched my LD copy of it in a number of years now. I pop this in and watch it at least once a year if not twice.

Love seeing the collection, really takes me back to the days before the internet. I would love to see you do more videos like this. So many great sci-fi movies back then, Omega Man, Planet of the Apes, Capricorn One.... I see Flash Gordon and Soylent Green behind you and those would be a great start.

My movie obsession is Night of the Living Dead, I have a VHS copy, 2 DVDs and the Criterion Blu Ray. Also, I have the novel, a book on it's production, cast autographs, the director's autograph also.

That's awesome. Love that movie. One of those great 60s B&W horror movies, along with Carnival of Souls, Spider Baby, Dementia 13, Psycho, Black Sunday, and a few others. Still my favorite zombie film.

Brett, I was at the Antique Mall in Plano, at Spring Creek and Ave K, there was a guy there that was selling a Sandman's gun made by the original prop maker, I don't know if it was used in the movie or not, but he may still have it if you get the chance to run by there.

I love Logan's Run, the book is pure 60s and the movie is pure 70s and it still makes you think when you watch it.you should pick up the new soundtrack record released a few years ago, it has beautiful new art created for it.it would look good in your collection my friend.

If you access to Roku or other streaming device you can get Stirr which is a streaming service that has both live streaming and on demand programs. They have all 13 episodes of Logan's Run on demand if you're interested.
