The plot is actually really good. It's Miley that gives the movie a weird teen romcom vibe. If it was someone who could act less campy (ex. Anya Taylor-Joy), this would be considered a classic. It really is worth a watch.
I think Miley’s acting peak was “The Last Song.” She did phenomenally in that movie and made me cry. I’m not *recommending* you watch it. I’m just saying, I feel bad for any 20 year olds who haven’t had the chance to experience a great movie like that 😎💀
@@missserenity1090 I partly blame script and director. Some actors are so good they can make everything look good even if what they are saying is cringe.
I’m sorry but she is an awful actor, truly terrible, great singer, musician, but awful actor. The Last Song, was a cute movie, but she was still terrible in it.
I'm not American but I've watched enough USA college movies to know that sororities are national organisations that have different chapters at different colleges, and if you transfer colleges you can transfer to the chapter of your sorority at the new university.
Dylan is one of the GOAT youtubers I mean his consistency is insane and he is young, you know he really connects with our generation, what more could you ask for?
I’m convinced that if you didn’t start watching Dylan until a year ago you really don’t know his real age cause he’s done such a good job confusing everyone 😂
He needs to do more movies in general🙄 He himself said that he will upload every Monday yet he barely manages to upload one video a month… 2 at most. He isn’t even doing anything that takes a lot of time and effort so the fact he can’t even follow HIS OWN CHOSEN schedule of 4 videos a month is just lazy Plus the fact he refuses to even take any movie suggestions just adds to the pathetic laziness🙄
@@baileyspeltbeefy1768 Are you doing okay, mate? Firstly, I don't really see how you can somehow come across like you dislike Dylan while still wanting to watch his stuff? I initially thought your comment was a joke, but I'll work off the assumption that it's not. How is it you feel so entitled to demand more from someone providing free content to you? Then to dismiss his stuff as if he isn't doing anything which takes time - which is incredibly ignorant, firstly, to creation processes in general - is so weird to me because if you think he's lazy and creates poor content why do you watch him? Secondly, if it wasn't obvious enough, the "uploading movie commentaries every Monday' is a bit. A joke. Humour. Lastly, it's alright if you don't understand why he requests people don't make suggestions. But then criticising something you don't understand without exploring more of his content to find out the reason or just *asking* isn't very wise. He's made it clear that he doesn't want his comment section to turn into people only providing suggestions and not leaving much feedback on his actual video - similar to what happened on his previous channel. Often times people already recommend something he's already decided whether or not to watch anyway so at the end of the day it only clutters the comment section. It's a shame, sure, but don't act as though his decision isn't well founded. Anyways, if your comment was a joke then please just ignore what I've said. If it wasn't, I hope I cleared some stuff up for you. Cheers.
@@baileyspeltbeefy1768you need to just stop watching him. He said that every Monday thing as a joke. It was never that deep. You also don’t know what he does on a day to day basis to say that he does nothing and is lazy. He literally just uploaded a 3 hour friends video and that’s doing nothing??????? Just stop watching
As someone who is definitely in their 20s and totally not in their 30s, I totally understand your problem. Like I have to keep reminding everyone I'm in my 20s. I have no idea why they think I'm in my 30s. I'm definitely not in my 30s. Totally in my 20s.
So I saw this in a screener before it came out, it was a massive theater of mostly white 12-25 yr old girls (and some mothers). Miley’s mother sat a seat away from me and the audience reactions to the movie were so bad that she left immediately after the screening ended looking borderline angry. It didn’t end up doing well in theaters either… it just always felt very tv movie which makes sense given how many popular tv actors of the time were in it.
@@d.o.m.i. Nah I'm sure they mean 12-25, this movie came out shortly after Hannah Montana ended, so any teens who watched Hannah Montana from the start and essentially grew up with it might have come to see the movie just for Miley. That nostalgia factor, you know.
@@davuax1177 True, but rather she drastically improves or doesn't do acting anymore, like I know she's had other minor roles but I don't think it's her calling. Music probably suits her better, but acting is always a back-up? 🤷♀
miley is great at hannah montana but most of her "serious" roles are not so great. her voice is angelic though ❤️ her and demi are for sure the strongest vocalists that came out of disney channel. selena has always been better at acting imo.
To answer the transferring into the sorority question, if you rush and get accepted into a sorority at one college, then a year or more later transfer colleges, depending on the college you can get an automatic acceptance into the same sorority at the new college. It’s actually really interesting because there have been cases of girls rushing at smaller schools and transfering to bigger ones just for a guaranteed acceptance into the sorority they want.
Hey Dylan, I've been going through a lot of heavy shit lately and tonight it kinda all came crashing down on me, but I got home and remembered that I had seen you uploaded yesterday and saved this video to watch tonight so it was new for me, and I just wanna say you're one of the few you tubers I REALLY love, thanks for doing what you do
i personally love that dylan gets so into movies that are a little bit silly. it was so fun to watch him puzzle out the whole plot before it even happened and predict all the callbacks lmaooo
I know Dylan doesn’t take requests really, but it would be pretty cool to get his reaction to the movie “Aquamarine” with JoJo and Emma Roberts. With the amount of teen flicks he’s done, I’m surprised he hasn’t done this one yet lol.
"You can transfer in [to a sorority]???" To quell some confusion: once you join a sorority, you can't join another one. Sororities have national organizations but also chapters, basically branch groups, so if you need to transfer schools, you can transfer chapters without having to re-do all the pledge stuff over again. Plus, established members can live in the house so she'd have less attention on her to do her mission. For all the... interesting.... aspects of the movie, this one does actually make sense
non-american here, what if the uni that i transfer to doesn't have the sorority i joined? or is it like every single one of them is in every uni/college?
@@astridkjellberg if the new school doesn’t have your sorority then you can’t join another. the chapters of sororities on campus varies from school to school but some are more common than others
As much as I like other commentary RU-vidrs, I like how you’re watching it in real-time rather than pre watching it and taking notes on what jokes to make
at this point Dylan's intros are just Troublemakers lore and inside jokes and it makes me so happy, although newcomers must be so confused haha that being said, I love how consistent dylan is uploading every monday and how admirable it is he's got such a big following at such a young age
I find it very interesting the current state of content we are in right now. It doesn't matter if its a great movie or worst movie, forgotten or gem of a movie or just meh. RU-vidrs are going to find a way to talk about a 10 year old movie which nobody cares about now and they are going to talk about it and we are going to watch it.
Dylan, I know you're in your 20s because you didn't even acknowledge Kelly Osbourne's presence in this movie. Someone in their 30s would ABSOLUTELY point her out.
As soon as Ari was talking about a plant and he was the only FBI agent shown, it was pretty obvious. It was fun to see him figure it out since the drain of thought went pretty much the exact way with me too lol
I'll never understand when a character gets offered an amazing job opportunity and they are like no thanks I am going to stay in school/college. But this is the job you wanted! You may not get an offer later!
It’s even funnier because there’s this one theory that “Miley Stewart” in Hannah Montana is named after “Molly Stewart,” the protagonist of this one 80s movie franchise about a teenage girl who’s a normal high schooler by day and a teenage hooker by night (yeah, I know… it’s very… yeah), so if you buy into that, it’s really just all coming full circle
Another brilliant movie commentary Monday. Have to say I'm loving them all, Django Unchained was so good, I love the in depth analysis Dylan gives us. Really, one of his classic commentaries, I might go watch it again.
This video has so much nostalgia for me because this is the first video of Dylans that I saw with my brother. I just love watching and rewatching your videos. I'm so obsessed
I thought it was pretty funny that you thought Ari being the bad guy was overthinking it, when I got that vibe from his first scene. 😆 His whole demeanor just seemed disingenuous (which is some good acting honestly). It just sounded like he was in it for himself, and the fact that he was the ONLY FBI agent we saw seemed pretty suspicious. It's not like he was some guy she's been working with for a long time, he just showed up to tell her about this ONE case....and there wasn't anyone to validate anything he was saying. And once you realize it, everything else adds up.
Couldn't have asked for a better way to kick off my week! So comforting to know we can count on you Monday after Monday, honestly don't know how you do it, Dylan. We appreciate you 🙏🙏🙏
