Thank you so much Hayden, i feel as though it is quite difficult finding people and resources online that have similar situations as me, so finding this video on your channel has been huge help. I love spirituality but my history with psychosis, makes me wary of many aspects of it, and so i also believe that focusing on your present self, and healing your self is the best, rather then looking to 'manifesting' your dream life.

Medical medium says marijuana can induce psychosis because of the heavy metals involved in the growing and maintaining of the marijuana plants. Some much worse than others, but all marijuana has some level of heavy metals in it. Heavy metals (according to him) are a major contributor to mental health issues as well as many physical health issues as well.

Thanks for sharing your experiences; I'll definitely be showing your video to anyone I believe will benefit from your wisdom on the matter. A useful analogy IMO is the Russian cosmonauts who return to Earth after a few months in space, too weak to stand up because their muscles and bones have atrophied from lack of physical activity. The same can happen to our integrated personality and mental health if we don't expose our physical senses and brain to the stresses and complex challenges of modern life. Hence too much meditation can be a disaster leading to the disintegration of our personality.

Always good to see a new video! Congrats on the new housing. I really related to the point you made about getting treatment early. If I had had a therapist that I could have trusted and was useful and worked with my style of learning and neurodivergency, I think I may have had a better mental health outcome as an adult. I'm only in my early 30s, so as a child and even young adult, there wasn't a good treatment for what is now called emotional/mood regulation and assistance. It really depends on the individual to determine what areas to focus on and how to address the changes necessary to thrive. Good insight as always! Thanks for another great video. As an aside, I used to do a brain wave exercise called, "Awakening Kundalini" that used brain wave meditation combined with guided meditation. It was really eye opening for sure.

Happy to see you back and looking well! Do you have any specific spiritual practices that you have do to help with the whole “staying grounded in the present”? Like with meditation, is that something you still do/how has it changed with your spirituality?
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
Thank you 🙂 There are a lot of practices that can be used to help ground. A lot of them involve focusing on something that can be observed like the breathe, the body, objects in the room, the feeling of the connection to the floor. The goal of these practices are to become aware of the space around us as well as the climate inside of ourselves, there is no need to change anything observing and accepting what currently happening in the moment. You can also just focus on accepting where you are in the moment and taking some time to just enjoy the moment, notice what is around you and feel gratitude. I don't necessarily have a consistent meditation practice, but I do check in with myself from time to time and have phases where I do meditate more. My flow is pretty fluid. For me there is no separation between spiritual and non-spiritual. We are always a part of and interacting with the universe whether we are meditating, working, or doing anything. Meditation has made me realize that the thoughts and emotions I have do not define me and when I do identify with them I feel much smaller. The learning I am doing now is about not taking my thoughts and emotions personally, but just observing them as they come and go. Before I would stay stuck in the mind and trying to control it, now I don't do that as much 🙂 I hope that answers your questions.

Hi Hayden , 6 months ago I experienced psychosis and am not sure what caused it. However around this time I took possibly some fake acid or real acid and was smoking weed and going through lots of stress from an abusive relationship. and I am now recovering on Invega. I used to smoke weed and really want to still be able to after tapering off my medications in the future. I know it’s generally not recommended but I just wanted to reach out and hopefully talk to you about it. I appreciate your videos!
@justbeinghayden9451

Hey! Thanks for reaching out and for sharing your story. I can understand wanting to go back to cannabis after recovery but it is something I would strongly discourage. I did that and ended up having a second psychosis. Anyone who has had psychosis should probably stay away from psychedelics and cannabis, the risk is not worth it. If cannabis is really something you feel you can't let go of you could ask your doctor is high CBD hemp is something you could use. Always ask your doctor first because CBD does interact with a lot of medications. I use it from time to time when I am stressed and I used it when I had urges to use cannabis and it has not created and psychosis for me. Again talk to your doctor, but it may be a safer alternative for you. Wish you the best! If you want to have a more in depth conversation feel free to reach out to me on Instagram or my email, which are both in the video description. Hope that is helpful!

I have found that low THC high CBD hemp flower has helped with those urges without causing symptoms of psychosis like THC does. Maybe you could talk to your doctor to see if that might be something you could try instead. CBD does interact with some medications so make sure to check with the doctor first!

@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
@@christophergrennan4485 I understand wanting to quit, but since you have an addiction it might be helpful to replace it with something that has a less likely chance of inducing psychosis, until you are able to completely quit. Also I would still recommend talking with a doctor about it since I'm not qualified to give you recommendations and I dont want you to take something that could have a negative impact on your health. I only offer it as a possibility because it was helpful for me. I hope you don't have to experience psychosis again and that you are able to reach your goals of quitting. Wishing you the best!

Hi do you continue to take your meds after your psychosis
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
I do still take some medication. I have slowly tapered down, I am currently on .25mg of risperidone. As I have mentioned in other videos, medication is a tool and the dose and use will vary from person to person. The relationship with the medication should be dynamic depending on where the individual is in their recovery and if symptoms are present or not. Always communicate with doctors about changing doses and about side effects of the medications.

Psychosis and prophets of the past…any thoughts? I was “enlightened” via Ketamine Infusion Therapy, by the way.
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
The difference between psychosis and someone who has an "enlightened state" is that someone in psychosis is stuck in an ungrounded state, whereas someone who is in a more enlightened state is able to connect with deeper and/or altered states, while still being grounded and able to negotiate with this reality in a healthy and controlled way. Someone who is more enlightened is usually not looking to achieve altered states or glamorizing one aspect of life or another, but rather focusing on acceptance of all things as they are.

@@justbeinghayden9451 You’re talking about radical acceptance, right? I experienced psychosis and ended up in a group home. Not where I want to be exactly, but here I am. I just want to feel contentment…be okay with my present situation. It’s hard. I spoke to a Buddhist priest yesterday about it. I’m feeling pretty empty right now. It’s hard. Suffering is hard.
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
Yeah I guess it would be radical acceptance to a degree. Sounds like you have been through a lot. I can imagine why you would feel that way, when we loose everything there is no doubt pain and suffering there. Learning to accept the situations we are in is a challenging process. I don't know if I have anything that will help you per say as I don't really know what is right for you or the intricacies of your situation. I will say that sometimes focusing on finding the ways we are capable of changing can be helpful, that being said it can be particularly challenging in difficult situations. I wish you strength and courage on your journey and that you find someone worth fighting for! Often the simplest things in life have been the most powerful shifters in my life, maybe that can be helpful for you in some way.

A lot can be said, but I am gonna use your statement against your regrets wishing of getting help earlier when you were at hight school. So, you've said "look at does X actually help you". Thus, do thoughts and regrets about past help you in some way? It would be great but I doubt it. I have had tough times in the past myself but it is more useful to let them be and do what I care in that moment. Didn't want to accuse you or something, just pointed out a mistake as I see it. See you soon.
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
Thanks for your response. I can understand why my saying that I wished I had gotten help in high school would be viewed as shame or regret. There is a part of me that wishes I had received help at that time but I don't feel ashamed that I didn't. I know that at the time I was not ready to ask for help or receive help. I use that experience mostly as a reminder to myself that sometimes I don't ask for help when I could have. My sharing of that part of my story was to remind others that it is okay to ask for help, that I too was at one time not open to help, and that I was able to be helped and work towards my mental health with outside assistance. My focus was mainly to create a connection for others and to express learning from past experiences. Viewing it in this way is helpful to the present reality and helps us make wiser choices moving forward.

So you haven't had psychosis for over 7 years. That is good. What are the chances for second relapse of psychosis? Is it possible to have only 1 psychosis in life time?
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
Thank you for your question. I don't know what the chances are statistically speaking, but it honestly depends on what caused the psychosis to begin with and what happens after psychosis as far as recovery, self care, and genetics. But yes it is possible to only have one psychosis. I do want to clarify that I wasn't in psychosis for 7 years, the actual psychosis only lasted about 2 weeks with intense symptoms and then about 2 months residual symptoms. The rest of the time was recovery from the psychosis. The second psychosis the timeline was not quite as long for recovery. Hope that is helpful for you!

How do you identify your psychosis apart from kundalini awakening? Psychosis
@justbeinghayden9451
@justbeinghayden9451 Год назад
Thanks for the question. For me it doesn't matter what someone calls it. I look at if the person is able to function and able to grasp consensus reality. If someone is not able to do that then the focus is going to be grounding. If someone is not having trouble with functioning and operating in consensus reality then intervention might not be required. So whether it's called psychosis or Kundalini awakening doesn't really make a difference to me it's more about where the person is at in there journey and what step they need to take next to find a state of relatively equilibrium for that individual at any given moment. Let me know if that makes sense and/or answers your question.
@gstuddbull
@gstuddbull Год назад
Both are different aspects , in one one is touch with consensus reality , though I liked u used consensus before reality , Grounding and equilibrium are both necessary though .it is important to be in touch with the self .
