I love this information a lot... And yes, you should eat loads of veggies. I just can't wrap my head around the combinations. Protein needs a different stomach environment than starch and carbs (acid versus not so acid). So, f. ex. combining eggs with sweet potato is a no go as far as i know what i'm saying. And a smoothie that combines protein and mango neither seems a good idea... Plus,, looking at traditional Chinese Medicine, some of these things a just to 'cooling', or looking at Ayurveda: the 'kill' your digestive fire. Fish with some sweet potato might still be 'ok', because fish digests easier than beef or zo... But if you eat protein that is hard(er) to digest, you should eat it seperatly or in combination with low-carb low-starch veggies. And don't ever drink with meals. Drink in advance (min 15 min) or áfter (minimum 2 hours) when there is 'heavy' protein in your meal. Drink a few glasses of luke-warm-water first thing in the morning. Don't drink all that much (just) before, during or in between meals. Dr. Eric Berg talks about drinking some water with a teaspoon of apple-cider-vinegar before meals, to improve digestion. In ayurveda, they have a sort of tea to aid digestion (look it up: Herbs to boost agni (digestive fire). There is much to learn... And even Dr. Janelle can still learn a few tricks... I DO respect her work and videos a LOT. Keep it up.
