I completely agree. There’s no point comparing 2 games right now. Tbh, I think it’ll take a while for Live to be as good as 2K but it will definitely happen if EA puts as much effort in this as Madden. Literally the only thing thats killing 2K and making players switch to Live is the outrageous VC price.

Ermmm, they're getting compared to each other because if you haven't noticed, they're both competing basketball games. Same how FIFA gets compared to PES.

Different game modes? They're exactly the same. Both have: 1) career focused on 1 player. 2) GM mode. 3) Team with cards. 4) League. 5) exhibition. That's what the standard is today. They're made differently but modes are the same. And they are compared because those are basically the only relevant basketball games on the market. Like you compare fps to other fps, rpgs to other rpgs, platformers to other paltformers etc. BUT this dates back to the 90's when first great sports rivalry was born, FIFA vs PES (formerly known as ISS in the 90's) when no other football game came close. This is the same, yeah Live had a break and is recuperating but it's about time Live picked up the glove. Better for us, fans, and maybe lazy bums at 2k will finally properly improve their game (the best thing that 2k has for it, it's the animations departament, each year they're doing stellar job at improving the game, but others? Not so much. They didn't even fix bugs from last year?! Talk about lazy). Don't even let me started on microtransactions in 2k. All I want to say is that comparing both of them is fine, it brings rivalry which in turn leads to overall better games for US. I just hopes 2k chokes on virtual currency and it stock drops, so they don't pull something like this year ever again, we'll see I guess.

EA probably needs more people to actually BUY the next street game. The alternate sports street games sold badly and NBA Street Homecourt didn't do so well either... I found that new in Walmart for $15 and it wasn't really old! So people need to actually support what they ask for.

i have 2k18, they haven't improved gameplay issues in years. Live focused on their gameplay, it looks smoother

yep theres no point comparing as 2K is a much more refined game but VC is really killing them right now and most people are switching to Live to protest that. Give it a few years and Live will be a true competitor to 2K

Yes but it's not like 2k. You can't get a 90 overall without buying that's a stretch. But shooting is more based off how open you are than release. So a korver can be just as good as curry. Driving is easy. LeBron and Westbrook are really over powered. Idk lives ok but the offense is really overpowered I mean I'm shooting above 60% every game so I wish they tuned down the scoring. I think they're two years away from 2k. Overall if you like high scoring action this is your game. If you like realistic games go with 2k.

You can't spend any money on a Player in live. All clothes and accessories you went to get for your player you don't have to pay for. It's all unlockable. Only money you can spend in live is for ultimate team

To test it out they didn't know how people would respond to it. It is still damn challenging playing against the computer though next year based off feedback they will add more to the WNBA side of things. But shit they add an update to where they can play online you never know.

EA has been doing this with FIFA for the past two years they're trying to attract the female demographic who also enjoy basketball and basketball video games
